His Toxic Addiction

"....She was his drug, he was her water..." ............. Arissa had always been an avid fan of freedom. She hated nothing more than being tied down to a relationship, especially when she was still in her early twenties. Yet, her parents had come up with an ultimatum marriage proposal. Strong-willed, confident, independent, and wild Arissa was forced to be humble to her parents and grant their wish of doing something extreme to her to save the life of someone she loves to a fault... And let's not forget, she lives for that person. Fast forwarding to Nicklaus Wyatt, we have a successful, cold-hearted, and Dominant CEO. On the outside, he is the most successful man on planet Earth and the most eligible bachelor but on the inside, he is an extremely damaged and broken soul of no repairs. His mysterious Aura also made it extremely hard for anyone to come close so, they just admired him from a distance. He only has one wish and that is to expand his empire more and not some stupid marriage proposal. So, do we think he would accept the marriage deal?? ....... "I'm your wife and yet, we live like strangers do!" Arissa seethed, gripping his tie in her fist as she tried to support herself. "Of course, it would eventually result in something as ridiculous as a cheating scandal. We aren't even acting like a normal couple should!" She emphasized lowly. Bringing her hand to wrap around his neck, she suddenly missed her footing again and then, she braced herself for the fall about to come but surprisingly, a strong arm for the second time in a night, held her waist firmly. Arissa smiled drunkenly as she made herself comfortable in his strong arms. Bringing her both hands to his checks, she gave them a pinch. "You were scared I would fall?" she asked him with a drunken smile. Yet, that smile was quickly replaced with a frown when she met with nothing but a cold gaze in reply. She pouted and brought her hand to his mouth. Tracing his lips with her slender fingers, "We don't even kiss" she complained with a smile, and at the same time, unknown tears slipped from her eyes. Nicklaus stared at her tears and down at her plump-tinted red lips. He stared at her face again and at her eyes that are already fully stocked with tears and without a second thought, he bent slightly and gave her a light kiss on her lips. SPOILER ALERT::Don't expect a fast romance. Romance would come late because both ML and FL are hard to tame. Their relationship would also go through numerous ups and downs, including occasional break-ups, aggressive ex-girlfriends, attempted murderers, and more. But, would their love strive through all the obstacles or would a few blows and manipulation crumble them Disclaimer: cover is not mine. Daily update, 14 chapters a week. Bonus chapters when pleased. Lone wolf

Arissa sighed as she stood in front of a clubhouse. This is the third one in a row and that was because Jocelyn did not approve of the guys she sent to her in pictures after some secret snaps.

Arissa walked in and looked around the clubhouse and damn, it was elegant and classic, highly different from the previous two she first visited.

Different bodies swirled their hips around in front of the opposite sex while some were with the same sex. A guy with a lady winked at her which she replied to with a stiff smile before clenching her purse more. She wants to get to the bar counter but it is a little difficult because of the bodies on the dance floor.

The bar can be said to be dark if not for the red and dim blue light that is displayed in turns.

It was tricky not to notice Arissa because she was in a bold red mini-dress that had both sides of the waist fabric stylishly cut out and showing off her clear slender waist.

Her hair was bed wet and styled with a moderate amount of bold makeup and striking red lips. In all, she looks bold and seductive.

Her black heels confidently clicked on the floor of the clubhouse and after a few more steps, she got to the bar stand area and sat on a stool there.

She kept her purse protectively on the countertop before breathing out. The bar section looks different because it is more clear and everyone around is lost having open sex.

She swallowed as she watched how two partners have rough sex on the couch ruthlessly naked without a care for the world. This club is different.

She turned her face to the bar attender and gave him a gentle smile and almost immediately, Jocelyn's text came in

[Don't look around like someone lost. Have a glass of alcohol and don't accept a guy in a go]

Arissa placed her phone in her purse, "A glass of mild shot," she said to the bar attender as she looked around. She is still having chills doing this.

She looked to her right and was about to take her eyes off when she noticed someone, particularly in the dark. He is three stools away from her and he looks like the kind of man she would want to have her.

She gulped as she watched him raise the glass to his lips. Although she wasn't seeing his face she is sure from his body to build shape alone that he would be a sight to prey on.

She smiled at herself and relaxed a bit before standing off her sit. She bravely walked over to the mysterious guy and sat directly on the stool close to him and gently placed her purse on the countertop.

"H_" Arissa was about to speak up but blinked speechlessly when he turned to her.

No!. It was just his side face he turned to her but hell she can't help but gawk he is so handsome and his jawbone is just so sharp and suited his face well.

His eyes were black with black hair - he was the all-black madly handsome guy type. Her gaze moved down to his shoulder and she swallowed seeing how broad and firm they are. He was in a suit that was just too formal for a place like this but that did not stop his attractive arms to show firmly under his fabric.

Among all the males she has seen, none can light a candle up to this man's handsomeness. He looks so manly and... rough.

She's so sorry for being this rude to drown a stranger in a matter of one second this way, but she can't help it.

She took in a breath she forgot to take in because she froze after seeing a glimpse of his face. His well-defined body and breathtaking handsomeness are every woman's dream.

Arissa included.

Arissa smiled as her confidence increased, "What's the name?" Arissa asked trying to sound somewhat close to what Jocelyn instructed.

The man beside her said nothing to her and just picked up another glass and took it down in a gulp. Arissa bit her lips wondering if that did not burn his insides.

He took another glass to his lips and Arissa could not help but look at his thin pink lips that came in contact with the glass. Everything about him was mindlessly seducing her even when he was just seated there unconcerned with her presence.

She tightened her legs and patted her lips unknowingly as she watched his throat take in the liquor, "Lone Alpha?" she asked all of a sudden and that caused the handsome stranger tutoring her after dropping his glass.

He looked at her side and saw no one around until seven seats away, he realized he was the one she just called that name. He finally turned his full face to her before he glared at her.

"Ah_" Arissa gasped seeing how hard and cold his gaze on her was like they are longtime enemies, " What?" she shot at him with her normal bold tongue.

"You refused to give me a name and I decided to give one. Seeing how you are just seated alone here, that was the first name that came into my mind"

He looked at her again and Arissa felt her soul burn under his gaze seeing nothing to look away from, she picked up a glass from his glass collection and shot it down her throat without a second thought.

She tightened her eyes when the hot liquor burned her inside. She has never had raw alcohol before and this is her first time because she usually had just wines in the past.

"Ah_" Arissa whined out not able to take the burn inwardly anymore. She tightened her eyes a little more with her hands squeezing her tight and after a little, the aftereffects of the liquor reached her stomach and stopped, that was when she opened her eyes again.

Arissa silently breathed out of relief when she saw he did not even look her way the whole time. Her whole face is now so reddish so she imagined the color it would have been if he was looking at her.
