Chapter 53 Anything that interests you

"Were you going to sleep?" he asked and she nodded. "Did you think I wasn't going to come?" he asked again. "I thought you were busy," she replied after finding her voice. His hair was damp and she realized that he was from having a bath.

Getting in, he closed the door behind him and he said," I had to come. I was just finishing with something urgent." She nodded her head and he asked," How are you? I noticed you didn't eat your food well." She lightly glared at him and asked," Wasn't it your fault for staring at me all the time?" "Was I?" he asked and the glare in her eyes intensified, making him chuckle at her adorable angry expression.

"I guess you were also staring at me or else, you wouldn't have known that I was looking," he said and he got hold of both her hands. "I still cannot believe that we are together," he said and she smiled lightly at him. "Me too," she whispered and she looked away shyly. "You look tired," he commented when he looked into her eyes.

She nodded and said," I was going to take a shower and then sleep." "Alright. I will let you rest." When she saw him get closer to her, her heart raced in anticipation and she saw him lowering himself.

Closing her eyes, she felt his lips touch hers and he pulled away.

She immediately opened her eyes not able to hide her disappointment since she had anticipated the kiss to last a little longer just like the other time but he only gave her a peck.

As if reading her thoughts, he chuckled and said," I'm afraid that if we do more than that, it will be hard for me to stop yet you need to rest." She bit her bottom lip in embarrassment before saying," Have a good night." "It will sure be a good one," he said and his hand reached for her cheek before gently massaging her skin. "Have a good night sleep," he said before placing a light kiss on her forehead and gave her one long glance before walking out of the door.

After locking the door, Tang Ning leaned against the door and she smiled. She touched her cheek, forehead and then her lips. Is it possible to fall in love with someone in just a single day? she asked herself. His touches made her shiver and melt at the same time.

When morning arrived, they sat at the table for breakfast as usual.

When they got done, the twins bid their father farewell and wished him a nice day at work. When they left, Tang Ning remained behind with him.

"Good morning," they both said at the same time. Tang Ning smiled sheepishly and he asked," How was your night?" "It was good," she replied before asking," How about yours?"

He thought as though looking for the right word to describe it before saying," Fantastic." "Alright. Uh, I wanted to ask for something," she said and she saw him nodding.

"Can I go out today? I wanted to meet up with my friend," she said. At the mention of friend, his eyes narrowed and he asked," Which friend?" "She's called Song Daiyu. She's my best friend," she replied and the anger that had started to build inside of him dissipated. "Alright. You will tell the chauffeur to take you and bring you back when you're done." "It is really fine. I can take a cab," she said. "Let the chauffeur take you," he said. "I wouldn't want to bother- " "Tang Ning," he called her name and she kept quiet. "I insist. He will take you and drive you back here," he said and she finally nodded.

"Thank you," she then said. She watched him get his wallet before removing a card and gave it to her. Getting it, she asked," What is this for?"

"You can buy anything that interests you," he said and she handed it back to him.

"No. I don't need it," she said immediately.

"Take it. It is my right to take care of you now that you are my woman," he said making her speechless. She liked the sound of that. His woman. "But I have my own savings," she said. "I know but that was when I was not in your life. But now I am here," he said to which she nodded and she decided to remain with the card. Before she could speak, he beat her to it and said," Don't thank me. It is my responsibility." She smiled because she was just going to thank him.

"Have a nice day at work," she said and she hesitantly added," Don't overwork yourself and have your meals on time." She decided to act like the dutiful girlfriend. "As you wish. Give me a call incase of anything," he said and she nodded, then he turned and walked away.

After getting ready and informing Daiyu that she was on her way, Tang Ning went to the car and the chauffeur drove her out of the house.

As she sat comfortably in the back seat, she looked at the black card that she had in her hands. She suddenly felt like a gold digger, who was taking advantage of her rich boyfriend. But then she liked him too, she thought. She didn't have to feel guilty about anything because their feelings were mutual.

Looking outside the window, she wondered how her friend's reaction was going to be when she reveals everything to her.

Not long after, they reached the park and the chauffeur told her to take her time. Getting inside, she bought ice cream before sitting on a bench where she was going to wait for Daiyu. A while later, she caught sight of her getting inside the park and she saw her eyes searching around. Standing up, she waved her hands in the air until Daiyu saw her.

Walking to her, the two hugged and on pulling away, they sat back on the bench.

"Long time. I missed you," said Daiyu. "I missed you too. How are you doing?" she asked. "I'm doing great. I also want ice cream," she said. "I bought it over there," she answered pointing in the direction and Daiyu walked over before coming back with her own.
