Chapter 47 Good time with her
"Uh, so you're leaving?" Tang Ning asked after they made way inside the house. "Are you that in a hurry to see me out?" she asked making herself comfortable in the sofa. "It's not that. It's just that, I was heading somewhere," she replied. "Whom are you going to meet? A guy?" asked Tang Moyu. "No. A friend," she replied. "Feng Shufen," Tang Moyu mentioned. "Daiyu," she was quick to say.
"Alright. But take me to your room. I want to see it," she said and Tang Ning hesitantly nodded her head. She just hoped her boss wasn't going to find her here.
"Tang Ning, this room is so big!" she exclaimed the moment they stepped inside.
She instantly walked to the big wardrobe and opened it before checking her clothes. Realizing that she didn't have any designer clothes but the usual ones, she closed it.
"One might think that this is a hotel," she commented as she walked towards the bathroom.
After taking a look at everything, she came out and sat on the large bed. Outstretching her hands at the back, she said," I would also like to stay here." She went to join her on the bed and that instant, Tang Moyu's phone rang. She got it from her pocket and on seeing the caller, she looked at Tang Ning and said," It's them." "Who?"
"The loan sharks," she replied. "Tell them you're looking for the money and that you're going to pay them," suggested Tang Ning. "No. I won't answer it," she replied and placed it back. "Why?"
"I think I should go," she said getting up and Tang Ning followed suit. "You're okay?" she asked and she nodded. "Alright. I will walk you outside," she suggested.
On reaching the living room, they found Huan who had left her bedroom. "Pretty auntie," she called as she came to her with her book.
"Yes baby," she replied. "I am done with the assignment," she replied. "That was so fast," she said as she got the book and read through what she had written. "Let me walk my sister out and then come back alright?" she said. "I want to come too," Huan said immediately. It was so rare for her to step outside of the house without a car.
"Alright, let's go," she said and got her hand before they walked out of the house.
Tang Ning suggested that the three of them walk a little longer because Huan was so excited about walking outside. As they stood waiting for a cab, Tang Ning said," Moyu, you should be careful and stop taking loans from those people. What if they harm father? You know how they work." "Okay I get," she replied and as her eyes looked around, she saw the people she has been hiding from coming their way and her eyes widened. Tang Ning too looked in the direction and she saw three weird looking men. Turning to look at Tang Moyu again, she was surprised to see that she had already started running and left the two of them there.
"Go after her and don't let her escape! I will guard these ones," one of the men said, who was supposedly their leader. The two men ran past them, in the direction where Tang Moyu had run to. Tang Ning's eyes widened when she heard what the man had said and she held Huan protectively.
He came to stand in front of them and he said," Hey beautiful. It's been awhile since I last saw you." "You...who are you?" she asked with a guarded expression on her face.
"Relax. I won't do anything to hurt you," he said and brought his hand to touch her hair but she stepped back.
"Don't touch pretty auntie!" said Huan and he looked at her. "Hey little one," he said with a smile. "Stay away from us! We have to go," said Tang Ning who got the little one's hand so that they could leave.
"Don't you dare," he said with a threatening look. "And if I do?" "You see this?" he asked and Tang Ning lowered her eyes to see a shimmering object and she realized that it was a knife. "I won't hesitate to use it if you give me a hard time," he warned and she swallowed. This man was saying such things in front of a young child, she thought.
She immediately carried Huan and the little one hid her face in the crook of her neck and she held her tightly.
"What do you want?" Tang Ning asked. "Your sister owes us a lot of money and she's been hiding from us for a month. And when we decided to follow her, we didn't expect to see that you live in such a rich neighborhood." "She will pay you back. Let us go." "And you think we can trust you guys? We are not letting you go until you give us our money," he declared and Tang Ning became confused on what she should do. "I need to make a phonecall if you need your money but I left my phone back at home," she said. "You can use mine," he said picking it from his pocket. "You think I memorised all numbers?" she asked. "I know the tricks your trying to do but I'm alert." She released a deep breath and said," Let me at least take her back home. She doesn't need to be here." "No. What I need is my money right now," he said.
Just then, the two men came back with Tang Moyu.
"You thought we would never get you?" asked their leader. "I wasn't hiding from you," she replied wincing, as if she had been hurt. "You're such a liar. Let's not waste time. Where is our money?" he asked.
"I don't have the money right now but I will give it to you." "We are tired of the same damn excuse! We want our money right now," he said and he maliciously looked at Tang Ning then said," Or else, we shall be taking this beauty to our boss such that he gets a good time with her." Tang Ning looked at the man distastefully at his words.
