Hangout.

Alex,Dan and Angel surprised Abigail at her work place.

Alex decided to leave the house since she couldn't invite anyone in the house without Andrew's consent.

She went upstairs to inform Dan that they will be going out today.

"Dan,get dressed and let's go surprise Abigail" she said. "You miss her too right?"

"Yes,I will be ready in 5 min" he replied.

Alex went into her room and picked up her phone to contact Abigail.

"Heyyyy" Abigail greeted. "You look happy and better today" she smiled widely.

"Yes of course I do,where are you though?" Alex asked.

"I will be leaving work in an hour, what's up?"

"Nun,just asking," Abigail replied. "Okay, call me back once you're off work, yeah?"

"Bet" Abigail replied and hung up.

Alex giggled and dropped her phone on the bed,she was happy she was going to surprise her.

She hurriedly went into the bathroom to clean up so they could meet up at her work place and then go home to make their favourite meal together.

She missed it.

"Dan,hurry!" She yelled out.

Dan didn't respond.

Dan was done taking his bath and he checked his wardrobe for his best outfit just because he could accidentally see his crush on the way. Dan had been crushing on Jane since third grade. He didn't want to see Jane and not looking his best considering the fact that it's been a while he's been to that neighbourhood.

Andrew changed his school since they moved into his house and Dan has been finding it hard to fit in,in his new school. Everything seems weird and he's finding it difficult to settle in. Everyone already has their friends and clique and he's just left sitting alone and eating alone most of the time. The few times he tried to have a conversation didn't end well so he decided to just stay to himself since they won't be living with Andrew forever.

Dan styled his black hair and put on some nice, well scented hair products he purchased from the store the last time and put on the pair of Nike sneakers Alex got him for his last birthday with a black pants and a blue shirt.

"Hard steez ... .Jane will fall hard for this" he said looking at himself in the mirror with a smile.

Dan left his room after arranging his room thoroughly.

"Alex!. I'm ready.."

"I'm almost done," Alex replied.

Dan went downstairs and to his surprise Angel was also dressed.

"Are….you going somewhere?" He asked her.

"Oh yes I asked Alex to tag along and she said no problem "

Angel asked Alex earlier if she could go with them since she will be the only person at home and her boss isn't around.

Angel has not hung out with friends since she decided to move out of her parents house and start working to make money for herself and fund her lifestyle. She was lucky she found a job where she didn't have to rent an apartment and pay but now she doesn't like it because she rarely goes out.

She missed the feeling of going out with friends and having fun.

"Alex!" Dan yelled out in an extremely loud tone.

Now he was impatient and couldn't wait for Jane to see how good he looked.

"I'm here," Alex said, rushing out of her room.

They all stepped out of the house and left.

And after the long journey and struggles to make sure they get there on time.

They did it!. They met her at her workplace.

Abigail saw them walking towards her workplace and couldn't believe her eyes. She covered her mouth with her hands and shook her head in disbelief.

"No way…." She said, She rushed out of her workplace and ran towards them.

She hugged her best friend.

"Fr? Was wondering why you were asking about my location, so this was your plan huh?" Abigail said happily.

"Yes and it wasn't easy so you better treat me right" Alex said and jokingly doing her mouth in a displeased manner, raising her brows.

Abigail hugged Dan and gave him a peck on his cheeks. "I miss you"

Dan smiled and hugged her back.

Abigail noticed the stranger standing beside Dan and she gave Alex a curious glare.

"Oh that's Angel"

"Angel, this is Alex. My best friend "

She said to both of them.

"Oh that's nice to meet you Abby" Angel greeted Abigail with a smile.

"My pleasure, " Abigail said and smiled back at her.

"So...are you done?Let's go home and make some food, yeah?" Alex suggested.

"That sounds good" Abigail replied and immediately rushed inside her workplace to get changed. Her shift for the day was over.

Dan on the other hand was searching everywhere with his eyes just in case Jane was coming from any angle even when he knew she wouldn't be around Abigail's work area.

Abigail came back outside and they all left. They stopped at the grocery store to get some food they weren't at the house and some other stuff they needed.

"Oh finally!" Alex shouted victoriously. "I miss everything"

"Hey come sit here" Abigail welcomed Angel in her house.

"Thank you"

Angel sat down and her eyes searched through the corners of the room. She watched the two best friends make jokes and cursed at each other.

She admired their relationship because she was never the lucky type when it comes to friendship.

"Uhm…can I step out for a while?,I also miss my friends, " Dan asked.

"Oh yeah sure but be careful and make it fast" Alex stated sternly.

"Thank you!" He said and hurriedly stepped out.

The girls were left alone in the kitchen. They talked and laughed and made preparations for the meal.

"What about going out for some ice cream after eating?" Abigail suggested.

"That sounds good," Alex agreed.

Angel nodded. "Hmn"

************************

Dan went to one of his friends' houses but his friend wasn't around and he made his way back but coincidentally met Jane on his way back.

He pulled his shirt to fit properly on his body and quickly adjusted his hair.

"Hey Jane" he greeted.

But Jane walked away and didn't respond. Jane doesn't like Dan because he has always acted perfect anytime she's around and unknowingly to her,he was always like that because he likes her. But aside from that,Jane wasn't in a very good mood at that moment.

Dan looked at himself and checked if anything was wrong with his dressing or if he had anything on his face that would make Jane think he's crazy and ignored him.

He felt bad and promised himself to just forget about her instead of embarrassing himself in front of her every time.

"Hey you're back on time,we're going out for some ice cream, care to come?" Abigail asked him.

"Sure…my heart is broken right now, vanilla flavour will add some sweet amendment to my broken heart" he said sarcastically.

The girls laughed at him.

They all went to get ice cream and it was finally time for them to leave because it was getting late.

"Is….that not the boss's car!?" Angel said, pointing to a black Mercedes Benz with tinted windows.

"Omggg" Alex exclaimed.

Abigail stared at the both of them, confused.

"So....??" She asked.

Angel knew she was gonna get the scolding of her life if Andrew gets home before them and find out she went out without informing him or give prior notice. At that moment she just wish she was at home, she didn't want Andrew to be mad at her even if she knows Andrew won't saying to her,he's usually not always mean to her.

Andrew passed by them and stopped his car immediately he saw the three of them. He wind down his car windows and just stared at them for a while before saying anything.

"So....what's this family gathering about?",he asked them but Alex wasn't paying attention to him as she was too focused on the woman who was sitting in the car with Andrew.

'Why give me the contract when he has a girlfriend more of like woman friend because this woman look like she's in the same age gap as him' she thought to herself.

"Uhm....we just came out for some ice cream " Angel replied him softly with a smile even tho she was inwardly praying he wouldn't get mad.

"Okayy, just make sure you go back now and be safe,it's getting late". He told them and drove away.

Angel sighed in relief.

Alex facial expressions changed. "Please let's go home" she said.

They all noticed the change in the atmosphere and just agreed with her.

"Y'all be safe" Abigail said.

They left and went home.

Throughout their journey back home,Alex was consumed in her thoughts.

'Who was that lady?', that question kept ringing in her head.
