GETTING READY

[TWO YEARS AGO]

Li Shun glanced nervously at her reflection in the mirror. She was dressed in short, blood red dress which ended mid-thigh, and had a plunging neckline, which showed ample cleavage to entice any man. It was held together by spaghetti straps which clung onto her slender shoulders. Her glossy black tresses cascaded down in gentle waves until they skimmed her shoulders. She wore a typical black choker on her neck, and sparkly gold stilettos. She looked like a different person altogether.

Li Shun had never dressed like this in her 19 years of existence. Neither had she tried going to the club to party. But she was doing all this to prove to her friend Zhang Fen that she could have fun too. But now she was having Second thoughts.

"I don't think this is a good idea, Fen..." She started off uncertainly

"Nonsense, Li Shun!" Fen got up from the bed and picked up a red coloured lipstick and started applying it on Shun 's plump lips " You look very sexy, Li Shun....believe me, no man will be able to take his eyes off you!" Fen winked at her friend

After hearing this, Li Shun's eyes widened like saucers "Do not say things like this, Fen. you know Lin Jian does not allow me to go to clubs....now I have to lie to him all because of you" she accused her friend

"I don't like Lin Jian....he is always angry at you...and does not allow you to do anything!" Fen replied angrily, while brushing her sleek brown bob with a hairbrush.

"Oh dear Fen, all men are like that..." Li Shun replied sadly.

"Then I will never get married to any man....and be his slave!!" she exclaimed angrily, making Li Shun let out a sad chuckle.

Lin Jian was Li Shun's boyfriend. They had met at a party a few months ago and soon Lin Jian had asked her to be his girlfriend...he was a good boyfriend most of the time...but he drank too much sometimes and became aggressive and blamed his problems on her...and more recently, he had starting coming home very late, and stopped spending time with Li Shun.

Li Shun was unhappy but she did not say anything because she loved her Jian verymuch. and she was sure that he loved her dearly too.

Li Shun was an obedient girlfriend. She was patient, and always listened to what her boyfriend said. She cooked for Lin Jian, washed his clothes, cleaned his house, and always obeyed to his commands. Fen did not like this side of her friend. She liked it when Li Shun was carefree and followed her heart.

So she was taking her to a club...to show her how good her life could be.

"Let's go, Li Shun!" Fen shouted, smoothening her short black skirt. She had paired it with a black crop top and 6 inch stilettos.

Li Shun sighed. "Alright" she said "Let's get this night over with"

She really hoped Lin Jian would not find out about this.
