1 chapter one: Lost everything about you

The room felt chilly and was dead silent except for Alya's harsh breathing and the beep sound coming from the monitor beside her bed that went continuously like a heartbeat.

Her eyelashes clapped against each other as she squinted her eyes to get past the blurred image she had woken up to. Her glittering pair of sea blue eyes darted across the room and her nose twitched at the smell of disinfectant in the hospital bedroom.

Hard as she tried, she couldn't get a single recall of what got her in this scheming white colored room, extravagant in every way.

Alya's throat felt itchy and she coughed dryly, she propped herself up with an elbow and sat on the bed facing the mirror to look at the lady staring back at her.

Horror and shock filled her face as she looked back at her reflection. Her fair skin had turned pale, paler than anything she knew. Her eyes looked like it had been sucked back into its socket and her usual lively blue eyes looked dull, her face had numerous cuts and blisters and a bandage tied round her head like the ribbon holding down a ballerina's hair.

The room appeared to be fading away to a blurred image of the middle of a road and the time of the night, a car horn blared loud against her ears which had her squinting her eyes thenq she heard a louder crash making her wince. Alya blinked to have the blurred image away from her eyes and a headache settled on her forehead

"You are awake" Alya heard and turned.

A man in a long white coat walked in with a young man behind him.

"What happened to me?" She asked the doctor, cleaning the little trace of blood from her nostrils

"It's a pretty long story, he brought you here, you had an accident and was terribly injured.

" Accident?" Alya asked with a surprised tone, she furrowed her brows and lowered her gaze

"I don't remember anything like that, why do I feel like I slept too long?" she asked looking up at the doctor.

" You went into coma for six months and was just reviving two days ago.

" Six months??!" Alya practically shouted and her voice dropped an octave, then two octaves with widened eyes.

How terrible was the accident?

" You know, you are very lucky when Mr. Pattinson brought you in that night, I was afraid there was nothing to be done but he pleaded for me to treat you".

"Mr. Pattinson??" Alya asked, her voice very low. She was still having an hard time believing the doctor, she turned to look at the young man beside the doctor.

"Is he...?"

" Rex pattinson" His gentle voice rang out, keeping a firm gaze with the blue eyes staring at him.

Alya kept her gaze as she thought of him being familiar..

"Tsss" Her head hurt again and she flinched at the terrible pain.

"Are you okay?" The doctor asked moving to her side

"My head hurt" Alya said lying back on the soft bed

"If I may ask, who is your best friend or close friend? The doctor asked observing her closely.

" April, landon and some colleagues at work" She answered straight

Rex held on tightly to his phone at her words, a visible frown of pain forming on his forehead.

"Where do you work?" The doctor enquired adjusting the tubes of her drip.

"I am a journalist at orlean newspapers"

"You have a fiance?" The doctor asked again

"No" Alya replied looking at the doctor strangely.

Rex on the other hand couldn't hold back the pain he felt, it was like a hot rod was pierced through his heart.

"Try to have some sleep" The doctor said and walked out of the ward with Rex behind him

" She is only suffering from a temporary amnesia " the doctor said when they got his office looking at the man before him who stared at his long fingers tapping continuously on the doctor's desk.

Temporary amnesia was one of the rare cases he had ever diagnosed but the rarest was hers, the memory she lost were centered on only one person.

Six months ago, he had been called from home for an emergency where he was completely dumbstruck at the pitiful sight of the young billionaire and the lady who looked like she had been ran over by a car more than once, three months had went passed with no improvement on her health.

" When will she be discharged? " the man finally spoke cutting through the doctor's thought.

" In a week " the doctor replied

" April will to come check on her".

With that being said, Rex stood up and walked with lazy strides away from the doctor's office.

' Rex Pattinson ' the doctor muttered, he had watched him grow from a little boy to a fine young man who won the youngest billionaire every year.

Stopping at Alya's ward, Rex peeked through the glass door, her eyes were tightly shut and he couldn't tell if she was asleep or not

Turning the handle of the door slowly, he stopped and buried his head low, his heart was at the verge of exploding. Heck, the pain stung so badly, he already had a terrible headache, his mind was twirling with wild thoughts.

After the short inner argument with his self, he slowly let the handle slipped off his hand and walked away with his hands in his pockets ignoring the stares of the crowds having their top celebrity around.

Driving out of the multi storeyed building, Rex parked his black bentley across and pulled out his phone and dialed a number

"Hello Rex" It was April

"Hello"

"Sorry I didn't see your text early"

Rex hung up and dropped his head on his wheels.

"Alya!!" He growled.

He had prayed earnestly for her recovery and she recovered.

But then what?

The doctor had said two days ago she might suffer from memory loss but never had he thought she would forget every thing about him.

"What a fucking punishment" He cursed under his breath

Rex sighed and clutched the wheel tightly, his phone rang jolting him out of his thoughts and he picked it up.

" Yes? "

" Erm.. sir, the shareholders aren't willing to sign the papers without you around " the caller informed him

" Landon isn't there? " Rex asked, " He is, but you see.. it's Miss Claire, she said she won't be signing until you're here " Rex sighed and rubbed his forehead " okay, I'll be there" he mouthed the words and hung up the call.

" The brat " he muttered and hissed angrily.

He got down from his car when he noticed April's arrival and handed Alya's bill form to her.

"She still got a hold of her memory of you and landon" He said nonchalantly and turned to get back into his car.

"I am sorry" April said

Rex looked over his shoulders and nodded, mumbling a reply

"I'll be leaving" He said and drove away, his mind was in a turmoil and he badly need to leave.

April sighed watching the car steer away and then rushed into the hospital and ran up the stairs to Alya's ward, she was beyond ecstatic, her best friend was finally awake after half a whole year. She sped round fleets of stairs and got to Alya's ward, she opened the door wide.

"Alya!!" She gasped.
