17 Late lunch

As they were exiting his office, Steve was still on his desk. He wondered where cat and his boss were heading together. Shawn informed him that he had to go for lunch. He figured out that maybe his boss liked Catina. It was just the first day that she had started working and he was already taking her to a lunch date. Since he couldn't ask them any questions. He decided to keep quiet and ask Cat later when Shawn won't be aroundd he.

"Thank you", she thanked him after he opened his car door for her to enter. She couldn't understand the reason as to why he was acting so good around her. She swallowed nervously as he sat next to her. Once he was inside, he informed the chauffeur to start driving.

"So Catina how have you ever worked before", he raised a question.

"Yes but I wasn't employed was just an intern", she states with a slight grin on her face. Even though she was nervous on the inside, she didn't want him to see it. She wanted him to know that she wasn't scared of him. A lot of questions were in her mind. She wondered if it was just a coincidence that they met again. She wondered why he was the one to be her boss. She hoped that her work as his assistant would turn out well.

"Ooh, that's great. You just graduated recently right...", he asked. She nodded her head assuring him that she was a fresh graduate. After a couple of minutes, they stopped at a fancy hotel. The hotel is among the top three best hotels in the country. She was delighted that they were going to dine in the best hotel around. As the chauffeur parked the car, Shawn exited the car and walked to the other side so that he could open the door for Cat. His actions were making her feel uncomfortable since he was acting like they were a couple.

"Thank you sir", the corners of her lips slightly curved up as she glanced at him. She was wondering why he was treating her so well like they were in a relationship. She didn't like what he was doing since it made her have so many unanswered questions.

"Don't call me sir again just Shawn", he reminded her again that he didn't like her to call him sir. She couldn't understand the reason as to why he didn't like to be referred to as sir. To her, she didn't find anything wrong with that cause he was her boss.

As they were heading to the hotel. He took her hand and held it in a tight grip. Her heart started to pound faster as he held her hand in a tight grip. He was doing this on purpose to see her reactions. She tried her best to assume that everything was going on well. As they headed to the corner in the hotel. He helped her pull her chair just like a gentle man. He was yet again putting her in a hard situation.

"Thank you Shawn", she thanked him after he sat. He had a wide grin on his face. He was delighted that she called him by his name this time.

"You welcomed Cat. Check the menu and order anything you want", she couldn't believe what she heard. Her boss was telling her to order anything she wanted. To her, this was the best opportunity to order her favourite dessert. When the waiter came after Shawn called him. She ordered a slice of black forest cake with rice and chicken stew. He didn't expect her to add a dessert but he was glad that she was starting to be free around him.

"Black forest is your favourite dessert", he mentioned. She nodded and assured him that it was her favourite dessert. A smile appeared on his face as he stared at her. She didn't like the way he was staring at her all the time. She couldn't tell him to stop staring at her, all she did was stare at the menu pretending to be reading it.

"Thank you", Cat mentioned as their order was brought. A voluntary grin appeared on her face as her favourite dessert was brought. He noticed it and chuckled softly. He thought that she was behaving like a little child. But since the act amused him, he didn't ask her why she loved black forest cake so much. She cut the cake and gave him a slice of it. He took it and ate it too.

"Are you the last born in your family", he asked her a personal question. She didn't understand the reason as to why he asked the question. But she had to answer him anyway.

"Am the firstborn not last", she pointed out with a mouthful of the cake in her mouth. He wasn't expecting that she was the first born since to him he knew that she was behaving like the last born. After she was done chewing her cake. She asked him the reason why he thought that she was the last born. He refused to tell her the reason. As she was eating, she was wondering why he wasn't talking about work. So she decided to remind him of the main reason why they were at the hotel.

"Just relax, I just want to know you more since you are now my personal assistant", he mentioned with a slight grin on his face.

"It's fine... what do you want to know?" she asked him this time, she was more confident than before.

"Do you have a boyfriend...?" he asked the unexpected question. She didn't think that he would have asked her that question. Even though she felt that he knew the answers to her

question. She didn't understand the reason he was asking her that question anyway.

"I don't have a boyfriend", she answers.

He scoffs then doesn't utter any word. She also felt like asking him if he had a girlfriend but she couldn't. She didn't want him to know that she had a little crush on him. After they were done eating. He didn't tell her anything about her work or what she was supposed to do as his personal assistant. Cat felt like asking him why he lied about their late lunch but decided to keep quiet. After they left the hotel, he dropped her at her place. At first, Cat didn't want him to know where she was living. He informed her that he wasn't going to allow her to take a cab and he could drop her at her place. Since he was her boss, she decided to give in to his offer.
