10 Favorite dessert

As she lay on her bed. Here lips curved up slightly as she remembered the way she was happy with Zack at the restaurant. She's been always feeling like this every time, she was alone. She couldn't stop to think of how her mother was taken away by their enemies after they lost the battle. That recurring dream always played in her head each time she slept. It was her mother who was calling on her to save her from their enemies.

As she was with Zack at the restaurant. She glanced at the families in the restaurant and wished that her family was like that. She wished that her mother wasn't captured by their enemies. Maybe her life then would be normal and she would be happy being around her mother every time. She always desired that her mother was with them, so that she could teach her how to cook. She wished her mother was around so she could teach her how to act like a proper lady. But her mom wasn't around to teach her all the things she wished. She was thankful that her dad tried his best to play the role of a mother and father to them. He is a God sent to her and she loved him so much.

She hadn't found the people who had captured her mother yet. She tried searching for them, for the past three years she was on campus. But her efforts were in vain since she didn't even have a clue of where she should start from. A year ago, she visited a remote village in the country side thinking that maybe they settled there so that no one would find them. But still, she wasn't able to find them and that made her be frustrated.

She was sure that her mother was still alive. The evidence was her recurring dream that always came all the time she thought about her. She sighs heavily as she rests her head on the pillow. It was a busy day for her, she was delighted that Zack appeared to distract her from her problems. As she lay on the bed, her body became lighter as she drifts into sleep.

"Cat hello girl", Brianna calls her as she shook her while she was laying on the bed. Catina who was almost getting sleepy tried to open her eyes as she rubbed them.

"Yeah what is it...", Cat raised a question. Her voice was low, she wanted to sleep really hard.

"I have bought your favorite dessert", Brianna mentioned. Even though it was late she had to wake her up so that she could take the dessert.

"Wow, where is it bring it here girl", after she mentioned the dessert. Cat rose and sat on the edge of her bed.

"Good girl...", Brianna brought her the huge piece of the black forest. Cat always loved that Cake especially the black forest cake. It made her relax and remember her mother. Her mother's favorite dessert was also the black forest cake. Every time, Cat was sad when she was a baby. Her mother baked for her the black forest cake to make her happy. She didn't tell Brianna the main reason why she loved the black forest that much. She did mention that she loved it from back then when she was a toddler.

"It's so yummy thank you so much", she stated as she ate the cake. Even though Brianna woke her up from her sleep, she wasn't angry cause she brought her favorite cake.

"That's why brought it. What did you eat it's late though", Brianna mentioned.

"Yes, it is late. Zack and I were together. We just had dinner", she pointed out.

"I hope you have some food left for me. Will eat it tomorrow", Brianna had no idea that they didn't eat dinner in the house.

"No, we didn't cook. He took me to some fancy restaurant", Cat mentioned. She knew that Brianna would start to exaggerate everything. She had to tell her anyway since she was her best friend.

"Wow... so you mean he took you for a date without me....", she raised a brow at her. Brianna always loved to exaggerate everything.

"No, it wasn't a date. He's my friend", Cat lightly chuckled at the matter. She always saw Zack as her good friend. Even though he was a guy she was so open to him.

"I see if he doesn't take me for a date next time will prove my suspicion", Brianna stated as her eyes were glued on Cat.

"Aaah... what suspicion", Cat couldn't guess what she was talking about. She wanted her to tell her, what she was being suspicious of.

"That he likes you", Brianna mentioned. She always felt that Zack liked Cat so much. She couldn't be mistaken after Cat confirmed that he took her for a 'date'. He waited for the time that he knew Brianna wasn't around so that he could have ample time with Cat.

"No who told you that", Cat's brows creased. She never thought that Zack liked her. She saw him as her good best friend.

"Just wait you will see he will tell you one day. I know Zack can't be wrong", a soft chuckle escaped from Cat's lips. She thought that Brianna was joking cause she was good at cracking jokes.

"Nah I doubt, tonight he had the best time to tell me that but he didn't. Maybe you are over thing", she knew that maybe Brianna was saying the truth. As they were in the restaurant, Zack was staring at her while they were eating. She sighs deeply as her mind became numb, she didn't want to engage in any love affair while she was living a lie.

"You see am right", Brianna noticed the way she was thinking critically. Cat nodded as she continued to think of what Brianna just informed her. She hoped that it wasn't true that Zack liked her. And if it was true, she hoped that it was just a mere crush that would end soon.
