As they approach the restaurant, from the outside. It was nicely lit with green and red neon lights. As they made their way inside. Cat surveyed the place, as she glanced everywhere she was amazed with how the place was. The flooring and walls were all made of wooden material, giving the place a more cozy feeling. Artistic wall pictures hung on the walls and the light fittings were set up in a way to give a really warm ambiance. It was her first to enter that restaurant. It was also her first time to go for a 'date' with him without Brianna.

"This place is fantastic", she says with a slight grin on her face. His heart melted after she mentioned that she loved the place.

"Their meal is way better you will see", he had already visited the place. He knew the kind of meals that they had.

"You are welcomed", a lady dressed in black informed them. She escorted them to the furthest table in the furthest corner as Cat desired.

The restaurant is crowded with people and from the movement of the waiters and waitresses, who were catering for customers. It's a busy restaurant. Laughter filled the place the people in the restaurant, enjoyed the conversations of one another.

They proceeded to sit down. As usual, he first pulled out a chair. "You didn't have to do that", he was making it look more of a romantic date. To her, the date was a friendly one based on the platonic friendship between them.

"Am the guy here. it's my duty to do such things", that was the only explanation he could tell her. He just wanted to treat her the best way he could.

A beautiful waitress in a black short dress with a cheerful smile approached their table. She gave them the menu as she stood beside them waiting for them to order. "This place is so fancy", Cat mentions as she stares at the menu.

"Yes it is a good one that's why brought you here", he wanted her to be happy. Even though she had refused to tell him the issue that worries her most of the time. He brought her to the restaurant so that she could relax and eat a great meal.

"Rice, chicken, and mango juice", she orders her meal as she glanced at Zack. His eyes were glued on her, he couldn't stop admiring her intense beauty.

"What's the problem", she raises a brow at him. She always viewed him as her good friend. But to him, she wasn't just a friend. He wanted more from her than friendship. He wanted her to be his one and only, even though he was finding it hard to confess to her how he felt about her. He knew that he had to tell her as soon as possible cause time wasn't on his side.

"You are beautiful", he states staring at her. She stared at him in confusion. This was the first time that he stared at her in that way. Goosebumps covered her whole body as she realized what he meant. He wasn't just being a good friend, she could see it in his eyes that he wanted more than being her best friend.

"Bring two plates of chicken, rice, and mango juice", Zach informs the waitress. She nodded heading to the kitchen to bring their orders.

"Thank you", she didn't know what she was supposed to tell him. She just loved him like a good friend.

"So when will you start working", he brings up another topic. He didn't want to tell her yet the way he liked her. He wanted for the perfect time, where he would surprise her by taking her on a dinner date then announce his feelings for her.

"I don't know but the interview is tomorrow. I will be the personal assistant to the CEO if I secure the job", she mentions. She had majored in fashion designing, she just wanted to get a job fast so that she could have money to search for her mother. Since her mother left them their family didn't remain the same financially.

"Wow but most likely you will start working at the beginning of next month. You should be happy this is great news", he states as the corners of his lips rose. He was genuinely happy for her and seeing her happy made him became happy too. The waitress brought their orders, she was accompanied by another waitress as they placed their orders on the table.

"Thank you", Zack informed them. "Enjoy the dish", she informed them.

"Wow this is yummy I love it", Cat mentioned in a mouth full of chicken. She couldn't hide the way she enjoyed the chicken.

"Eat slowly Cat. You will choke", His guffaws echoed in the restaurant, causing strangers to search for the source. She was biting the chicken very fast and this amused him a lot.

"No ain't in a date so that can be eating like am in a royal banquet", she notifies him.

"This is a date... I mean a friendly date", he mentioned putting a small piece of the chicken in his mouth. As he chewed it he loved the way it's so soft and delicious.

"I told you. Thank you so much for bringing me here", she states as she ate the rice. He loved how she would appreciate the little things he did to her.

"Thank you too for being the best friend in my life", he treasured Cat a lot. In his time of need, she was always around to support him and encourage him. Even after his father died. Cat never abandoned him, she stayed by his side as she let him cry it out.

"Don't start being emotional. Let's continue consuming these delicacies", she was almost finishing her chicken and rice. She stretched out her hand and took a piece of chicken from Zack's plate.

"You are overeating", he chuckles as he points at the piece of chicken she stole from his plate.

"You are eating too slow", she stretched her hand again to take another piece but he swatted her hands away before she placed her hand on the piece of chicken.
