1 The wedding

Ava closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths to calm her beating heart. She still didn't believe that her life had changed drastically within a few hours. Once an accessible, lively girl was now going to get caged throughout her life with a man to whom she was going to get married.

Never in her wildest dream did she imagine that her act of kindness would lead her life to get imprisoned by a person whom she barely knew. She wanted to curse the time when she first encountered him, Dominic Boris.. the man she loathes from the bottom of her heart.

Ava opened her blue eyes and bore into the image which kept looking at her from the mirror. She had worn her wedding dress as she put down the veil hiding her face and stood to walk out of the room.

Walking downstairs, she kept looking at the man whose back faced her. Ava halts her steps after reaching down and looking for her father. Her eyes scanned the living area where she found her father standing in one corner, as his eyes showed guilt for getting her into this mess.

Coal Odin, the father of Ava Odin, kept watching his daughter, feeling helpless as he couldn't stop the marriage. Being the head of the village, he had to decide between letting his daughter marry the King of Azov.

Ava made her way to the man as he turned to look at her as if sensing her presence.

She thought her heart skipped a beat for a second when the man's beautiful face came into her view. His green eyes halted on her as she inched closer to him, and she stopped, finally standing in front of him.

She had never seen such a beautiful man in her entire life. His slightly tan skin radiated the warmth sun as his pointed nose flared to inhale her scent. He had this green pair of eyes that looked at her with tenderness. His muscular body stood straight as he forwarded his hand for her to take. But, what was the use of this beauty and kindness when the person was a wild beast...

Dominic Boris, the alpha king, whom everybody feared would be her husband. She was going to get tied with him for life long. The man she barely knew would be her husband, and she would be the Queen.

Taking his hand, she moved forward, facing the priest as he recited the vows. Being human, her father wanted to wed her with proper rituals. The priest asked them to take the vow as he asked both of them to follow his words.

Dominic's hold on her hand tightened with every vow he took. Ava didn't bother to look up as she still felt unfamiliar with his touch. After completing the rituals and traditions, the priest declared them lawfully wedded husband and wife.

Dominic turned to look at Ava, whose face was hidden behind the veil. He lifted the only hurdle between him and his wife when he heard the priest say, 'Now you may kiss the bride.

He leaned forward and kissed her. Ava felt ticklish all over her body, though it was just a tiny kiss. The warmth of his lips made her feel several butterflies dance in her stomach.

"Mine..." he said and pulled back, bringing her out from her mudded thoughts.

The army of wolves roared joyfully, watching their King and Queen get out of the house.

Dominic waved his hand when his beta Liam came and whispered something in his ear. His happy face suddenly darkens listening to his words.

Dominic looked down on his little wife, standing next to him. Ava had been quiet and didn't speak a single word for once, which bothered him. He bent down and whispered," We need to leave my Queen."

Ava was startled at the mention of the word queen. She still had to get used to that word. Nodding her head, she excused herself from meeting her father before her departure.

Coal was still in the living area when Ava entered to meet him for one final time.

"Father, it's time to leave.." she informed, grabbing his attention on her.

"Ava..." Coal burst into tears as he took her into his embrace. His guilt was going to haunt him till his last breath.

" I'm sorry... I couldn't fight them," he sobbed.

"They were too many for us to fight" she pulled back and wiped his tears. She didn't have the heart to envy her father. For the village's safety, he had to take this huge step.

"Father, take care of yourself... don't overstress with work" she smiled, watching her father.

Ava didn't know when she would meet them again. Before accepting his hand, she had made a deal with the king to not harm the people of her village and let them live in peace, and he agreed to it without any argument.

"But... how will you manage to live with those shapeshifters" Coal was scared for his daughter. The man she married was not an average human like them but was king... the Lycan king.

"I'm not afraid of him...coz I've already seen them killing our innocent people. And I promise father, he is soon going to regret his decision of marrying me" Ava looked at her father with determination in her eyes.

Though she was his wife, soon, he would regret forcing her to marry him. She was not going to go easy on him, he was the person who harmed her people just to get a hold of her, but soon he would be the one who would leave her.

Biding her fare well with her father, Ava left the house where she had grown up under her father's care. The only thing that made her sad while leaving the house was her father, who would be left alone in that big house with no one around as he only had her...

"You will soon feel sorry, Dominic Boris" with this pledge, she hops in the carriage arranged for her to travel to the kingdom.

Ava kept looking at the house until it vanished from her view. Dominic shifted to his wolf form and ran away at lightning speed.

*************************************

After an hour of travel, the carriage finally stopped. Getting out, the first thing Ava saw was Dominic waiting for her arrival. She wasn't surprised at all as she knew him well.

Dominic took her hand and walked inside the castle. But rather than taking her from the entrance, he took her from the backyard. Confused by his action, she kept walking with him, not voicing her thoughts.

"Who takes the new bride from the backyard," she thought, following his steps until they reached their room.

The corridor from they walked to their room was silent, confusing her about whether anyone lived there or not.

Entering the room, Ava walked in first, followed by Dominic.

She stood there looking at the luxurious room. Her eyes didn't forget to memorize the beauty of the room.

A large wooden bed is at the center of the room with a chandelier. The long curtains hide the light that came from outside. They had a small dining area next to the dressing table, which complemented the room's décor.

The room gave her the feeling of her room back in the village. She felt nice and cozy, feeling the warmth of the room. Ava was busy grasping the beauty when she heard him clear his throat," Ahem.."

"Did you like our room..."Dominic, who was watching her astonishing expressions, came and leaned forward, whispering in her ear.

Ava stood still when she felt his hot breath fanning her nape. She held her dress, clutching it tightly, trying to calm herself. This was something that Ava had never experienced in her life, and that was the closeness to any male. She slightly nodded her head and tilted her neck to look at him...

The smile never left his face from the time he brought her. Who would have thought the person behind this charming smile was not a sane but a tyrannical king who didn't think twice before killing anyone, not even innocent people?

He moved back, gazing at her beautiful face... the only beauty who flattered his heart with her kindness. If not for her, he would have lost his life after his enemy tried to kill him.

He snaked his arms around her slender waist, pulling her close to him as he slowly inhaled her intoxicating scent. He never thought he would feel hungry for her mere scent that made him lose his sense whenever he breathed her.

Ava was startled by his sudden pull. He had his face buried in the crook of her neck as he licked her spot down her earlobe, sending a chill on her body.

"I want you, Ava.." he spoke and bit her leaving a mark on her neck.

Ava felt as if she had gulped wine making her knees go weak by the touch of his lips.

She tilted her head to give him more access as she enjoyed his work... The warmth of her lips was creating havoc in her system, but Ava didn't feel like retreating. She likes it in a good way...

Dominic's mouth kept sucking her as his hand went on her back, removing the zip of her white dress.

Snapping her eyes in shock, she pushed him with force making him move back, looking at her in surprise.

Dominic was shocked to see a mere human possessing such a solid strength to move him back.

"This marriage was a deal and we agreed not to take it to another level" she reminded him of what they had discussed before she agreed to marry him...
