10 Morning kiss

Coal knew she would not accept it so quickly. She was a stubborn girl like her mother.

"Father there has been something I need to talk to you but I still don't know if you believe it or not?"

Now that her father has kept a big stone on her shoulder to carry, she first needs to release the previous burden she brought with her.

"What do you want to talk about?" he asked.

"First... I tried to talk with Aunt Juliet, but she just brushed off my words. Her behaviour that day is still bothering me" she didn't want to hide anything from her father, but she also didn't know how to say...

"You know your father will trust your every word" he held her shoulder, turning her to look at him. His daughter had been his priority. He had promised her mother to keep her safe from the vicious creatures.

"Father that day before you found me unconscious, I was attac-" she could complete her words when Coal cut her words.

"I know what happened to you", came his voice which shocked her.

"How ?" she asked in disbelief.

All this while, she struggled to come up with words to talk to him about what she had experienced, but her father knew everything.

"There are some things which should not be disclosed before the time come. And trust your father if I say so. You don't know many things, and it's not your time to learn them. But trust your father with this, Ava...I have my reason for accepting the King's proposal," he tried to explain to her.

Coal didn't know if she trusted him or not, but if he told her all, she would not trust her own identity. He only hoped she would not go into detail, force him to speak, and just have faith in him.

"Father the man who saved me was the king right.." her words shocked him.

His silence was her answer. And now she was confirmed that there was something which her father had kept hidden from her, and if she had to find it, she would have to agree with him.

No doubt, she was smart enough to find the loopholes. She was Coal's daughter, and he knew she would be strong enough to handle the hurdles which come her way, and he only hoped the King didn't back on his words. He has trusted him with his daughter's safety, and he wanted him to be firm with his words.

"If you don't agree, he would call a war with the villagers and you know we can't put villagers' life at stake," he said and waited for her to speak.

"Did he pressure you with this?" she frowned in anger for making her father agree with him in return for village safety.

As the head of the village, she knew he would have to make some serious decisions, and she was not selfish enough to let the innocent people be killed mercilessly by the King's soldiers.

"I agree to marry him father", she declared before she continued.

" Still, this marriage will only be a deal between us. He won't have right on me as his wife. This is a forced marriage which he made by pressurizing you with the life of innocent people," she said and left the living room.

Though she agreed to marry him, she was not so naive as to let him have his way with her.

Coal sighed in relief that she believed in his lie. It was the King's words he spoke to make her agree to marry him. He felt guilty for lying to her, but he had no other option left as a father.

**********

The next day, a few royal men, some soldiers, along with the King and his beta Liam, came to her house. As agreed by the King's words, he wanted an intimate wedding with proper rituals like humans.

Coal didn't know his daughter was already starting to take steps to find the hidden truth. He felt he had made her agree, but to his unknown, she was only marrying him to see the absolute truth.....

Present,

Ava closed her eyes as the slight rush of wind passed, recalling how her father lied to her, but he was not at fault. He had his reasons to hide the truth from her. But now, she would herself find what was his motive to let him marry her.

Even if she was angry with her father, her heart didn't let her be mad with him for long. She kept looking at the full moon in the sky as she cursed her fate. The man she married was not a human, he was a shapeshifter, and she knew it. But why would her father let him have her even if he knew he was not one of them?

She had many thoughts running through her mind, and at some point, she felt tired.

Now that she was in the castle, she would indeed find out.

She closed the window and looked at the wound, lightening as the swelling reduced, making her hand move a little. She changed her clothes into the normal ones, which Agatha placed on the bed before she left.

Laying down on the bed, she kept looking at the ceiling above, recalling her wedding, she was tired by the sudden change in her life, but now that she had married him, Ava was going to go in depth.

Ava didn't know when she ended up sleeping when Dominic entered the chamber.

Earlier, when he asked Agatha about her hand, she said that the queen had retreated to accept any help. He was angry at her for letting her wound get treated.

How can she be so stubborn?

He went back to the room only to find his little kitten asleep. Dominic kept looking at her sleeping figure. She was just a fragile woman with a petite frame that had captured his attention.

She had just helped him in kindness, but who would have thought she would catch his attention and end up being his mate? He walked to the side of the bed and sat next to her on edge.

"I didn't know the moon goddess would bless me such a beautiful mate" he lifted his hand, slowly tracing his finger to remove the hair strand that fell on her face.

Tucking them behind her ears, he traces his finger on her cheeks.

The girl was no less than the moon goddess herself. His silver-blonde hair was spread on the pillow, making her look incredibly gorgeous. She was the most beautiful human whom he had come across to. Her sleeping blue eyes were the most hypnotic eyes he had seen. How she looked at him when they kissed was the most magical moment of his life.

"You didn't just save me... you have brought me back to life" he leaned in to inhale her intoxicating scent remembering how she had taken care of him that stormy night. He would have been dead by now if not for her care, making his enemy enjoy their victory.

Laying next to her, he hid his face in the crook of her neck, inhaling her fragrance as if it was the oxygen he needed to live. He felt terrible about coming up with an evil plan to have her, but he couldn't help as his heart kept drawing to her and his beast needed her next to him. And rather than marrying her, he had no other choice.

He frowned and pulled back, remembering the vampire who had attacked her, but why did they want her? He had already parcelled his body back to his people, warning them about the consequence of harming his people.

"Don't worry, they won't even touch the strand of your hair or else they have to lose their life" he rested his head on his palm and laid on the side with the help of his elbow.

Dominic watched the beauty next to him, sleeping peacefully. The most serene moment of his life was the girl sleeping next to him.

He didn't know when he went off to sleep while watching her.

*************

Stirring in her sleep, Ava tried to adjust herself on the bed, but she felt a heavy weight on her stomach. The more she tried to move, the more the grip around her tightened.

Slowly opening her eyes, she looked down only to find herself held protectively by Dominic. He was snuggling her waist, sleeping like a pup holding her nightgown.

"When did he come," she thought.

Ava tried to move him, but she knew he would not budge even a little bit. The heavy bull-like man was shrinking her inside the bed under his body weight. She wanted to pee, but how was she supposed to move him? She tried lifting his arm but was startled when she heard him say.

"Don't move or else I will kiss you" his sleepy voice sounded seductive to her ears.

Dominic tilted his head up from her stomach as he watched her morning face. She looked heavenly beautiful. Her blue eyes were looking at him, making him feel ticklish. For her, she was just looking at him, but for Dominic, her eyes were hypnotizing him.

When she heard him, she wanted to pull his hair in frustration. She had been holding her bladder for a while, but this man again started his shamelessness. If anyone saw him now with this dishevelled hair that fell on his forehead with his green eyes looking at her innocently, they would call him a pup.

"Did you like my face so much that you want to keep watching me" his lips curled when he saw her watching him.

"Get out of your dream Dominic Boris... Leave me, I need to pee" she tried pushing him, but he only pulled back to her like a string.

"No... first I need a morning kiss to start my day" he moved up his upper body getting close to her face.

Ava gulped at their closeness," Is this wolf out of his mind?" she thought, watching him.
