The meeting, as it turned out, was about the trip to Hawaii. Which wasn't surprising in and of itself, but as the details unfolded … Harper felt the need to write down a long list of questions that she had to ask Eli.

"The conference kicks off next Monday." Marketing's director Fred, who was holding this meeting, showed on the projection screen a huge calendar filled with colorful blocks. "The first day is for orientation, warming up and meeting our partners. We'll be seeing some familiar faces from Sterling Trust, since roughly half of the board members who visited during the initial venture meeting will be there, but the majority of the attendees will be new to us, including their finance specialists, PR team, and a group of technical consultants from Future Vision."

A surprised murmur rose in the room, and Harper's note-typing halted.
