3: Something Different

Derek tossed the outfit at Elena with a wink. His youthful face and bronze skin shining under the lighting of the room, he looked good. Elena thought absentmindedly.

She would've definitely entertained his advances had things been less.....complicated with her. He is someone she could see herself planning a future with but that was just it.

"There's your outfit for tonight, the crowd is going crazy," his voice interrupted her train of thoughts.

She nodded then took the mask on the vanity mirror before carefully tying it over her face and knotting the ropes behind her head, when she was sure it wouldn't come off during her performance she turned to face Derek fully, placing both hands on waist.

"Oh yeah, and the boss said to see him in his office," she perked up hearing that, she has been looking for who to ask for information anyways.

"What does he want?" Derek made a face before shaking his head.

"I don't know really," he waited till she gave him a nod before smiling. "Good luck." With that, he turned and left closing the door after him with a soft thud.

Elena sat back with an annoyed huff after changing into the outfit Derek brought. Basically a bikini with a g-string and a supposed overall in the form of feathers, the outfit barely covered anything.

With another soft huff she pushed every other thought to the back of her mind thinking of Derek's last message.

Why did Sam, her shitty boss and the owner of the club want to see her? His presence alone was bad news and him wanting to see her before a show, definitely not something she would like. She halted those thoughts too and stood up then head to the office beside her dressing room where he always is before shows or when he generally isn't making people's lives miserable.

Her knuckles rapped on the door thrice before she pushed it open not bothering to wait for permission to go in, it would never come anyways.

A man in his mid-thirties seated behind a large mahogany desk at the end of the room looked up when he heard footsteps. He kept the folder he must have been reading then focus his attention on her with a small tilt of his lips, she hated that look, so mocking and sure, and on most occasions meaning only one thing, bad news, for her.

"Elena darling, you look lovely tonight," She all but gave him the stink eye and went further into the spacious office, the smell of tobacco faint but present.

"Of course I do, you picked the skimpiest of everything I'm sure you have," She refused to dance on her toes even though that was exactly what she wanted to do, the last thing she wanted to do was give him the satisfaction of knowing he made her uncomfortable.

He ran his thumb over his lips his eyes shamelessly raking over her whole body, or rather lack of clothes on her body because really, a bikini with feathers to make it more 'modest' didn't exactly leave anything to the imagination.

"Nice nice," He muttered absentmindedly, his eyes stopping on her ample bosom, he has seemingly forgotten her eyes were upwards.

"Derek said you wanted to speak with me, can you get it over and done with?" It took her all the effort in the world to not yell, she managed but the words came out clipped.

"Derek?" He asked as if testing the words on his lips, still looking at everywhere on her body except her face, she fought to urge to fold her hands in her front protectively. That was a pose she was never going to adopt, never again.

"Yes!" The words came out louder and more forced than she intended but it had the desired effect since his eyes were back on her face, thank God!

"Oh right, erm tonight things will be a little different," That stupid smile she hated was back.

"Different how?" She asked already dreading the answer.

"We'll be having a sort of contest," His eyes raked over her once more before he cleared his throat and continued, "An acquaintance of mine is having a charity event tonight, you'll dance as usual then there's going to be an auction after your performance,"

"What does this have to do with me?" She asked incredulously.

They had those kind of events, more like billionaires who have entirely too much money wasting their time in the club with the their fancy suits and throw money in the air like it's nothing, to see who would be the highest bidder, they say the money all goes to charity, but the highest bidder goes home with a girl of his choice. The girl's that worked in the club, she reminded herself, but she still didn't know what it had to do with her, she has never participated in those things. It has always been like that.

"You do know we offer special services here," he is speaking in that tone that suggests he is not really paying attention to the things he is saying, once again eye raping her.

"Yes," she muttered bored.

"So, errrr…" he paused eyeing her chest, she gritted her teeth to stop from saying anything untoward or one that would get her fired.

Fired, that she might actually like but he offered a lot more than a job to her and those 'special services' she couldn't mess up.

"Oh, you'll be in the contest tonight, someone suggested it and I got paid five hundred grand to let you participate,"

"What?!" She yelled.

"Yes, now if you want to keep working here with your beautiful flexible hours, you can get going, I don't have time for this." He dismissed her with a wave of his hands.

With barely unrestrained anger she turned and left the office, banging in the door hard in the process.

Just how dare he? She thought angrily, he more or less sold her for a few hundred grand, okay five, but still five hundred fucking grand! It is a lot of money for sure but the worst part, she isn't going to get any part of it.

She hoped for both their sakes it was just a lap dance and not to sleep with whomever it is, she didn't sleep with men.

That wasn't part of her job description.
