Weston had never seen His Majesty like this. Being respectful and kind was expected of a gentleman like the King. But this was a completely different side of His Majesty.

If Weston could put his thoughts into words, it would be the fact that His Majesty played Adeline like a toy. She was putty in His Majesty's hands. Did she think this was the actual side of him? He was only pretending.

The King was never this gracious to anyone. He smiled only when it benefited him and laughed when he was in the lead. The young Princess was a fool in love. She was blinded by her expectations of His Majesty.

Easton already knew the thoughts running through his older brother's mind. The twins had grown up with the King, and they had never seen him treat a woman like this. Everything always went according to the King's plans. Women yielded to him, as rubber bents under will.
