The first thing she noticed was the red wolf's front right leg... or lack thereof.

  It ended right below the elbow in a clean removal.

  Scars ran up and down the side of his neck and up into his face, serving as evidence of the battles the wolf had fought, and from the looks of it, there were many. 

He was nearly as intimidating as Landon's black wolf, and he would have been if there wasn't a kindness, a fairness, that radiated from him as well as his power. Not the anger that rolled off Landon's wolf in waves. But, he was still the one who was going to decide her future, and that was scarier than anything Landon could do.

The wolves shifted, leaving a very attractive family in their place.
