Chapter 1: The Meeting

"So what are we doing here? You know the Full Moon pack doesn't like us here." Asked Jim in a mind link.

Rick never answered him. He gazed upon the lands a front of him. "Such beauty could become ours, if I so wished... The Forests to the west, the mountains to the east. I have the warriors for it... But that's not why we're here... We're here to talk with Alpha Jake of the Full Moon Pack." He thought to himself

Jim and Rick walked their way up to the Pack house, it was centered in the valley around the other houses.

"Maybe they're finally asking for our help?" Jim inquired

Rick sighed as we reached the courtyard. "What a nice courtyard. A bit too bright for me, but it's nice. But yes... I assume that they're looking for our help. Alpha Jake is waiting for us." I said with a chuckle

Jim shook his head and we continued up the courtyard, I stopped and smelled the air, something sweet, kinda like... mint? Maybe Chocolate? I looked around the courtyard and I found where the smell was coming from. It's coming from her. Mint Chocolate, and a nice body too, very nice brown hair, she carries herself well... Kinda like an Alpha, or perhaps a Beta...

"Rick.... Rick.... Rick!" Jim snapped at me through the mind link.

I snapped out of my thoughts and glared at Jim. "What is it Jim? I was busy." I snarled at him

"You do realize that I could hear what you were thinking? Maybe next time you should turn off the mindlink before thinking those thoughts..." Jim sighed and walked passed me shaking his head

I look at him then glance at the young lady. "Why has she not noticed me?" I thought

"Because, she is a minor. My wolf stated with some enthusiasm

"Yes. Because she is a minor. Sad really... She's really pretty and would be a good Luna." I sighed and entered the pack house

"Welcome to Moon light pack. We're pleased to have you here. Please meet my family. "My eldest child; Charles. My middle child; Everest. My youngest child.... Where is your sister? Everest?" Jake asked

"She'll show up dad, she's just with that boy by the river." Everest grudgingly replied

Everest never liked the boy that her sister started seeing. She claims he's her mate, but he's always hurting her. She hasn't told her father because she knows if he found out that he would be killed for harming the Alpha's Daughter.

"Well, we shall begin without her then. Please Alpha Rick, come inside my office and we can talk business." Jake said

Rick nodded and went inside with Jim and sat down at the desk as Jake sat at the other end.

"What business is dad talking about?" Everest mind linked her brother

"I don't know, maybe we should sit in on the talks?" Charles replied

Both Charles and Everest walked into their Father's office.

"Well Jacob, why did you ask for us here?" Rick inquired

"Well, Richard we're here to discuss a treaty between your pack and mine, and to seal the treaty we will arrange a marriage between you and any she-wolf from my pack." Jake said

Charles and Everest looked at each other with a scared kind of look. "Treaty?" They both said aloud instead of in a mind link.

Rick and Jake looked at them with displeasure and said at the same time "Out."

"Dad, we want to know what this treaty is about. We're not leaving until you tell us." Everest insisted

"We will discuss the issue another time. Rick and I are discussing formalities for the moment. Now leave my office." Jake said

Everest and Charles sighed and made their way out of the office, as soon as the door closed they stood in the other room and listened through the door.

"Now, back to what we were discussing. We can drop all the wrong doings of your pack with this treaty, but with this treaty the she-wolf you pick will have the title of Luna inside your pack. Do we have an agreement?" Jake inquired

"Before I agree, I would like to meet these she-wolves of your pack. If she is to be my wife, and my Luna, I will pick her. Not you." Rick stated

Jake and Rick nodded, stood up and shook hands. When Jake opened the door to exit his office both his Daughter and Son fell from the doorway onto the floor.

"And what do you two think you are doing? Eaves dropping on a meeting between two Alphas? That could very easily get you killed or exiled from the pack. But you two are my children, which means that will not be your fate." Jake stated

Everest stood up and smiled at her father, she knows that he can't resist her smile.

"Dad, you know we should of been in that meeting. As you said we're your children."

Charles eventually stood up and brushed the dirt and dust off of his shirt. He knew that he was in trouble and there was no way for him to get out of it. His father's fury can be harsh, but he didn't see any anger in his father's eyes, he only saw what looked to be pain. "Dad, it was my idea to listen to your meeting. I am sorry for the intrusion we will leave you two be."

Rick looked at Jake then Charles and Everest. "Jake, I'll let you talk with your children and I'll be on my way to the courtyard so we can go ahead with the treaty." Rick started walking off before Jake could speak his mind.

Jake looked at Rick then at his children. He didn't look at them as if he were mad, but as if he was simply disappointed.
