Chapter two

"Ophelia we need to hurry the meeting's starting soon" she shrieked while the other rolled her eyes.

"That meeting can't start without me, you know right?" Ophelia asked and Scarlett nodded hastily before stopping to rethink.

This crazy brat! she cursed within.

"Hurry we still need to arrive early" Scarlett said as she dragged her into the lift.

Ding! The lift doors slid open, everywhere seemed quiet with this Ophelia looked odd, on noticing her expression Scarlett said

"I think they're in the meeting room" she said again but this time Ophelia walked the slowest she could.

"You won't get a query but I'll do!" she said frustratingly

"You don't believe in my capabilities?" She asked while Scarlett put her hands over face, What was wrong with her today anyways

she shrugged as she pushed the door open, it turned out every one was truly waiting for her.

"Finally Miss Aurora, we were just awaiting your arrival" Director Jace said as he gave Scarlett a stern gaze.

"Uh- Scarlett get to the circle, I've got important news from the company" He said and they were hushed tones in the room

"Quiet, our company is way behind in giving out news. You see they hasn't been any top story for weeks now" He said while he turned to stare at Ophelia and later stared back it wasn't her fault , she got underground news and this was risky for her

"So... it's been decided that anyone who gets a hot topic within four days gets a 20 percent increase" loud mummurs filled the background before every where fell silent again.

"This goes to everyone" he said calmly but also indicating that they shouldn't leave all the work to Ophelia.

"Yes Director Jace!" everyone chorused as the meeting ended.

"Ophelia what are you going to do now" Scarlett asked as they headed for Ophelia's cubicle.

"Uh I haven't thought about anything yet but when I get something I definitely tell you" she said and Scarlett smiled.

"But I'm worried about you. You're the highest risk taker in the whole of New Gloss. Even the company won't cover you if you get into Bigg trouble" Scarlett grumbled.

"I love it scar, you don't need to worry, your bestie is so good at her job or you don't think?" she asked and Scarlett pondered about it for a while

"Yep! you're good alright but this time you'll have to be careful on who you give a spin on" Scarlett warned and she nodded before leaving.

When Ophelia was alone she picked on her phone to admire her lock screen picture. A smile plastered on her face.

To hell with what ever danger!
