CHAPTER 1

Lilith's POV

My alarm rang on my phone and I quickly switched off the irritating sound and stretched out of bed. I got ready for the first day at my new school. How excited I should be right?

I brush out and flat ironed my long charcoal-black hair and put pins on each side to remove the hair from my face.

I put on the blue and white uniform with the typical schoolgirl skirt, I put on a pullover and the school blazer over it.

I decide to not put on any jewelry besides the belly piercing I got just last week and silver stud earrings.

I head down to the kitchen to eat breakfast and find my mom, dad, and Madeline already sitting down at the breakfast table.

"Good morning everyone."

"Morning." They all reply at once.

"So your blood ceremony is in a few months are you ready?" Dad asks me.

I spread butter on my toast and take a bite. "Yes, I've always been ready." I finish up my breakfast. "So I need to get going to school or else I'm going to be late."

I take my things and my keys and head out to school.

The school is a huge old equestrian property with beautiful gardens and water fountains it's a private school with some strict rules and yes I did read the school's code of conduct. This school is practically a glorified prison.

All the student drive fancy millions of CAD$ worth of cars. I got my car on my 16th birthday a black Lamborghini chrome since I love racing.

I am greeted at the entrance by a girl who seems to not want to be here almost as much as me.

"Hi my name is Diane but you can call me Ann." She gives me a forced smile.

"Hi Ann I'm Lilith." I reach my hand for a shake and she shakes it.

"So I will be your tour guide for today, here's your timetable and tryouts are on the 7th to 8th period. We have the same classes so just stick with me Okay."

"Yeah sure."

"So what are you going to try out for?" Anne asks.

"Umm… maybe the track team."

"That sounds boring."

I let out a small giggle. "Yeah, it kinda is."

"Then why do you do it?"

"I don't know actually." I smile and look at her.

Ann is really beautiful she has big brown eyes glowing brown skin and curly hair that she let down to her shoulders.

"Let's try out for football."

"I mean I'm down if you are," I reply.

"Great. So this is Mr. Brynlins's class our, chemistry teacher you can come sit with me."

"Thanks." I take a seat next to Ann and the lessons begin shortly after.

The day goes on smoothly after that and before I know it it's already the 7th period and time for tryouts.

Ann and I head to the football field for tryouts. "Do females even play football ball?" I ask as I see a Field dominated by the male species.

"Yeah, we are on the far side of the field." I look further down into the field and see pink, purple, and yellow tops all over, I see hair flying in the air and girls running up and down the field.

"So that's Mrs. Roberts she is our coach and she will be assessing us on our skills today."

"Okay."

She walks over to the coach and talks to her and writes something in a book the teacher has.

"Okay so I just wrote down our names and we need to do 5 laps around the field and come back here for more instructions."

"Okay, then we better get started."

We start with our first lap.

Hunters POV

I'm on the field throwing a ball back and forth between Aiden and me, listening to one of his stories about his psycho ex.

"…so she keyed my car and spray painted it in red with some not-so-polite words. I swear this girl has hooked on me, bro."

"Or maybe she loves you and you, cheating on her with her sister didn't really make her get you a thank you note."

He sighs. "Did you? Did you have to bring that up?"

"It's the truth bro, okay listen let's have a party say today at the pack house."

"And what about Alexia, didn't you two have some dinner plans or something?"

"I will just say I forgot, so let's get some hot chicks at our party tonight and try to keep a minimum amount of guys."

"Okay, who should we invite first?"

My eyes roam the lower field and come to an abrupt stop spotting a gorgeous raven head girl with olive skin, she and a few other girls are doing laps around the field.

"How about her?" I point to the girl I've been staring at.

"Okay she's hot, let's get her attention."

"How?" Aiden throws the ball right at her and hits her legs making her tumble over and almost fall.

She looks in our direction and we start jogging toward her. "I'm sorry my friend has bad aim," I say to her.

"It's okay just be careful next time." She hands me the ball. I take the ball from her and our hands touch a little a tiny spark ignites between us and we look back at each other. " I have to go." She lets go of the ball and starts running.

"Hey." I give Aiden the ball and start running after her. "You didn't tell me your name."

"Because you didn't ask." She replies.

"Okay, what's your name?"

"Why do you want to know?"

"You're new here aren't you?"

"Wow is it that obvious?"

"Are you going to answer any of my questions?"

She stops. "I don't know am I?"

"Can you stop doing that?"

"Doing what?'

"Replying to my questions with a question."

"Huh, was I doing that?"

"Look let's start all over." I put my hand between us. "Hi, my name is Hunter."

She reaches her hand out for a shake. "Lilith." She smiles.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Lilith."

"Likewise."

"So I'm having this party tonight, if you are available please come."

"I will check my schedule."

"Great don't be late, the party starts at eight and till late."

She smiles and runs off to the rest of the girls.
