190 Little bit of darkness

Vaidehi blinked once ,and then twice ,and then thrice. But nothing changed the way he was looking at her.

His eyes glinted with relief, pain and an emotion she couldn't understand.

She frowned as she looked at him, trying to understand that emotion as if it was the quantum physics which needed to be learned.

And the next second , she was in his warm embrace. His musky, earthy scent surrounded her leaving her warm and slightly breathless.

"You fine." He whispered near the crook of her neck.

And Vaidehi knew that it wasn't just a question, but he was trying to assure himself that she was fine.

She sigh and and with a light hesitation, put her hands around him. She felt him steal for a moment as if he never expected her to do that, and then he hugged her as hard as he could.

"I am fine." She whispered against the crook of his neck.

"Yes, you are." His voice cracked and he replied.
