A sudden shrill ringtone of his phone startled him. He sighed as he saw their interwined, slowly untangling her hand for his , he got and walked towards the chair to answer his call.

He frowned seeing the number, but answered nonetheless.

"Hello, John?" He frowned as he heard some indistinct chattering in the background that looked like someone was arguing.

"John? Are you there? Can you hear me? Are you okay?"On finding no reply from John, Damien felt a shiver down his spine sensing the danger.
