Epilogue

 16 years later

I came up to my daughters' room to pick up her laundry when I noticed her sitting on the window seal with her earphones blasting on her ear. 

She didn't notice me so I watched her, smiling to myself.

My daughter is 16 years old now, in two years, she will be of legal age, it warms my heart to see her admiring someone. And that someone has my vote from the beginning. 

I looked outside the window to see what peaks her attention, and just like what I thought, she's watching Austin intently as he plays basketball in their yard by himself. 

"Handsome," I said that startled her.

"Oh my gosh, mom!" She exclaimed and pulled out her earphones and stood up, facing me. "Can't you knock?"
