House Number 1

The following day was a Saturday and Leo decided it was the day he was going to surprise his mother with their new house.

Strangely enough, he hadn't even asked Dylan how or what the house looked like. That was how much he trusted Dylan.

"Let's go and check the house first before we fetch aunt," Dylan said and Leo shook his head.

"No. It's okay. I trust you and I know you did a good job," Leo said matter of factly.

"If you haven't seen the house, your mom will know and start questioning you. So, it's good you familiarise yourself with it before taking her there. Don't you think?" Dylan reasoned and Leo couldn't agree more.

"You have a point there. Let's go. You are not only handsome but also have a good brain. Good," Leo said as he teased his boyfriend.

"Ooo, so, someone thinks I'm handsome, eh? " Dylan hit back with a smile.

"Who says you are handsome? I just wanted to make you feel better and here you are feeling all proud of yourself," he said and Dylan chuckled.

"Just admit it. Admit that you think I am handsome," Dylan didn't let it go.

"Okay, okay. You think I, Leo Adams, would fall for someone ugly? I have class," Leo said as he straightened an imaginary collar since he was in a T-shirt and sat up straight.

The teasing and bickering continued to the vehicle and even on their journey.

They drove to the new house and the first thing that caught Leo's eyes was that the house was in "The Mountain Side Estate". This was among the best estates in City M and only the who was who lived in this county lived there.

"How much did you pay for this house?" Leo asked with his mind running a mile a minute. "How will I be able to pay you back if it's expensive?" He asked no one in particular this time.

"Don't worry about it. You can owe me for the rest of your life so that when you try to leave me, I will hold you down using the excuse that you owe me money," Dylan said jokingly.

"I'm serious D!" He said pouting.

"The Mountain Side Estate". This was among the best estates in City M and only the who was who lived in this county lived there. That was why Leo was sure that the house must have cost a small fortune and he didn't know when he would be able to make that much to pay Dylan back. it didn't matter that they were dating, no. He had to repay this debt because they had agreed on it before they became an item.

"I know. I just want to lift your mood. It isn't expensive and I told you that my assistant will give you the papers, later" he said soothingly as he drove to the main gate of the estate.

At the gate, there were two armed guards and the one who opened the gates. Before they could enter, Dylan introduced Leo to them as the new owner of house number one.

They all looked at Leo surprised and he didn't know why until they got to house number 1.

What Leo didn't know was that The Mountain Side Estate was owned by Dylan's father and Dylan had to spend a lot of time coaxing the old man before his father decided to part with the house he loved so much and had refused to sell to anyone because it was Dylan's first creation when he became an architect student. The only condition was that in his next project which he was about to do in another city, Dylan would design it for free which he readily accepted.

The house sat on a ten thousand square feet ground. The first thing that Leo saw when he got out of the car was the fountain they had to go round before coming to the front of the house. There was someone already there to take the keys from Dylan as he went to park the car.

"Who's that?" Leo asked.

"Your driver, " Dylan answered nonchalantly as if it didn't mean anything.

"My driver? How? Why?... D?! " Leo shouted unable to coherently form a question.

Dylan turned and held his hands and squeezed them gently, "Listen Love, aunt can't walk yet and she might want to go somewhere when you aren't here and having a driver at her beck and call will help her a lot.

"Don't worry about it because we already said you will pay for it. Okay?" Dylan explained patiently as he held Leo's gaze.

Leo nodded and hugged Dylan. He was wholly indebted to this man. He had no words to say, but he expressed his words through a kiss as he stood on his toes and kissed Dylan. Not the "peck" type of a kiss, but the "l want to eat you now" type of a kiss.

'I will make you forget the pain you went through' Dylan thought as he reciprocated the kiss.
