FIRST MEET

A workout bag is draped over his forearm as he walks briskly along the city pavement. He has black hair with cool brown eyes and is around 5'7" in height.

The guy approaches his apartment complex and goes into his purse to get his keys. Yellow taxis zooming by, commuters coming home from work, and customers entering the shopping center on the corner, all add to the street's clamor and activity. But I never look away from him.He pauses at the doorway and casts a quick check behind him. I feel as though I'm being charged electrically. I'm not sure if he can sense my gaze. It's known as gaze detection—our capacity to tell when someone is looking at us. This genetic endowment from our ancestors has its own system in the human brain.

Sheila Blanco, I am a seventeen-year-old woman. The one who's looking at the guy in question, either.

Pete Urbano is the name of my college school mate and long-standing passion, well, he is my crush, but he didn't know me yet. For now, I am his stalker.

In the morning, I opened my window to see the beautiful sky. The sun was now rising, and I smiled while breathing in the fresh air. Then I remembered Pete.Unexpectedly, he is now standing behind the window and glancing outside; his hand is holding his phone. It seems that he has someone talking on the line now.

"Have a nice day, my dear sweetie pie," I told myself as I was staring at him in the distance.

I raise my palm and make a flying case, imagining that he catches it, but the reality is that he glances at me. Oh! Did he look at me? I immediately hid. My cheeks blush. I feel so shy about what I did. Then I slowly moved to look again at the window. Pete is gone now.He has left, so I need to get ready for school. I went into the kitchen straight from the downstairs. Mom is out and still working, and I on my own took care of myself. I'm used to it; it goes to me almost every day.

"A man fell down the stairs; he had severe bruises and scratches on his body. The reason for his fall is because he had a quarrel with a fellow man. The misunderstanding between the two ended in a fight"

I read those words as I am composing a book of novels.

"What do you think, Aunt Alma?" I asked

"Why are they fighting?"

"Hmm. I won't tell, but it would be nice if you read the whole story." I said

"I won't read it; just tell me the story so I can find out." She asked. I forgot that she is busy; she hardly has time to take care of herself because of her graveyard work.

"In most of the BL series that I watched, there was always a fan girl or fan boy character that usually acted as the reason why the main characters met. But as an avid BL fan, what if this happens to me?"I said.

While holding the mouse that is placed behind the table with my laptop.

"You had positive thoughts. But don't ever think that there is something wrong if one person falls in love with someone of the same gender. You know. Boys love, or girls love?"My aunt Alma replied. She used to visit me at school once a month. My two second cousins live with her for the majority of the time while they are in school.

"The reason why I did some research and read other opinions about LGBT people is to understand them better." Why has my father left?"I said.

While I am having deep thoughts, my tears flow. My aunt didn't say anything. She didn't even mention or share what happened to my mom and dad. About why they broke their marriage twelve years ago.My mom didn't say anything about the reason; she just told me that she wants Dad to be happy.

"Life has many options; just go with each opportunity." Auntie Alma says Anyway, she was right.

I am currently studying HRM, or Hotel and Restaurant Management.I came from a broken family. But it's alright. Life must go on. If my mother successfully accepts the word "move on," what about me? It's not like that. This was like my research paper that I needed to figure out.

"I'll have to leave. Call me anytime if you need something, okay? I love you, sweetie."Auntie Alma says She used to call me "Sweetie" for her; I was like her own daughter. She's still single at the age of 47. I don't know why, but I hope she will meet her true love. For a moment, I looked at her in silence.

"What? Do you have anything else to say to me?" She asked when she noticed.

"Nothing Auntie, I'm just happy that you are here, spending time talking to me, and because of that, I realize something. And now I will include it as part of the story. I am a writer, remember?" I said.

The truth is, I was happy even though I grew up without my father beside me, knowing that I have two mothers who care for me at the same time.

"So, I'm leaving. See you next week!" She said that, then she kissed me on the forehead and bid me goodbye. In writing my own plot. Actually, it is a romance. A romantic story that most love by the readers. I also proofread my own work. But it's so hard for me to think of a scenario, especially the one called "the cause and effect". The longer the scene I write, the longer I am hurt.

"Jeeeezz, they are kissing now, Sheila. Are you the writer of the series?"Anne asked me jokingly:

"Sotus series, a Thai BL drama No, but it's one of my inspirations to write mine."I said

"What? "Are you a member of the LGBTQ community?" she asked while holding my smartphone.

"No, but I have a gossipy friend who came into my room! and touched all my stuff here!" I yelled.

"Oh! I am so blessed to have you as my best friend," she said, laying down on my bed."Arg..g.! Can you go to your apartment and watch that series there? because I have something else to do. I have to concentrate!"She looks at me with a dumb feeling.

She is my best friend, Anne, and the only person who knows me very well. And because of her, I got a chance to meet my college crush, Pete.

I knew Pete was bisexual. And he was one of my campus crushes. To be honest, that's what made him so attracted to me in the first place. We met at my best friend's place; it's Anne's birthday party, and this moment? I saw him.

"Hi! you're here?"

I never gone with the wind__ the lyrics of the music popularize by Taylor Swift "Crazier"

"You know the truth: I came here for you. I see you often with Anne, so I expect you to attend her party." Pete said.

My cheeks blush. Does he know me?

"Can I have your contact number?" Pete asked

Wow, will he even take my contact number? Does he want to talk to me? Am I dreaming? Without hesitation, I gave him my contact number. Of course! Many girls in school are dying to talk to this guy.

"Do you want to dance? Let's dance, I want to have more fun tonight." Pete said after he saved my contact number in his phone:

That night was the first time I got drunk. I was drunk on his handsomeness. The way he looks at me is dizzying and unrelenting. My heart dances with joy.

After the party, I immediately said goodbye to Anne and went home, but Pete insisted on taking me to our house. When we got outside the house Pete said

"Here you are, so can we meet again?"
