"Where did you go?" she was surprised to hear the deep baritone of his voice inside her bedroom.

He has never set foot in her private chambers before, "It is none of your business. Get out of my room."

She was surprised to get pulled from behind, his strong arms caging her, "I know where you went. I know what you did."

She struggled to get free, "Let me go. You have no right to touch me."

"So you would rather be touched by a filthy human? Is that it? Rescuing not just any human at that but the most sinful of them all," his voice was menacing, making her squirm.

"I said unhand me, you brute," she hissed.

He laughed at her outburst and yet the sound of it caused shivers to run down her spine, "Now that's the first. Haven't I always been on my best behavior?"

"Really? I have not noticed you have been behaving yourself until now," she quipped, trying to steady herself as his eyes of molten gold stared at her intently.
