Chapter 31

Aurora stared at her wondering what she was doing here. It was unlikely for her to be here, how did she even manage to get the door open? Was she sent by her uncle? She doubted. Her uncle wouldn't do that.

Aurora kept asking herself these questions but never made a move to move from where she stood. 

She slowly pressed the ring with the sharp edge into the back of her pockets.

"Aurora?" Serene called to be sure it was her and her eyes weren't deceiving her. A step inside the room was all she needed to clear the doubts as she could now see aurora clearly. "Oh my goodness! I thought you left."

Serene ran inside looking panic stricken. "I thought you left for good. I thought you left without saying good bye." She cried as she came to hug Aurora tightly.

"Can't… breathe" Aurora taps on serene shoulders. Serene quickly pulled away, muttering several 'sorrys'  as she did so. Aurora managed to give her a smile as she pulled away from the choking hug.
