Chapter 11

"What the bloody hell!?"

Sebastian exclaimed. He questioned no one in particular, he squats as he examines the bullets and weapons that were littered in the woods.

"Don't touch it with your bare hands," Theo scolds, surfacing from behind. He had gone to hunt for food so he could gain back a good amount of strength he had lost from the injury he had sustained earlier.

"Have this," Gael spoke before pulling out pairs of gloves from his pocket, and handed it over to Sebastian.

"I wonder what else you have in your pocket" Sebastian joked but Gael doesn't respond.

Gael turns to the direction of his Alpha

"Should we call for backup?"He questioned mildly

"Why, are you afraid?" Sebastian questions as he appears behind him. "Of course!" Sebastian exclaims as he takes hold of Gael hands.

"These hands of yours, they are only good on the fucking computer."

In a swift mood, Gael swiftly grabs Sebastian's hands, holding it firmly before twisting it. Making Sebastian's bone sprouts out. He doesn't stop there, he lifts Sebastian from the ground before he could react, he bends him over and dropped him on his knee.

The loud crack of Sebastian's bones rebervated into the woods like an echo.

Gael removes his lens, and scrub dust from them before putting them back on.

"Look at you" Sebastian groans as he tries to sit up. "I'm one proud teacher, I wish my warriors learnt combat just as fast as you did." Sebastian commented as he moved his broken arm and shifted ribs back in place.

"You can't teach someone that doesn't know what or why he's learning that in the first place. Focus more on finding their purpose than being an asshole." Gael lectured before handing Sebastian a hand to help him get up.

He doesn't take it, instead, he does a backflip and lunch forward with the aim to attack Gael.

"On your Guard" Theo spoke using his Alpha command and Gaela and Sebastian suddenly stood still in rapid attention.

"I've called for backup," Theo says, answering Gael's previous question. "This bullet," Theo continued as he moved forward, not touching them, but tracing them to a direction. "They seem to have been chasing something," he stops when he finds a torn cloth stick with an arrow on the tree.

Gale comes forward, already aware of what he's supposed to do. He rips the arrow out before examining the cloth that is now laid on his palm.

"Daniels" he simply stated confirming everyone's suspicion. Theo let out a low growl of anger.

"Do you still think we should not pay the damn exorcist home a visit?" Sebastian questioned from behind. His fist tightened around the gloves that Gael had given him.

"We've talked about this, we don't retaliate,"

"Till when?" Sebastian growls angrily. "How much of us do you want us to lose to those goddamn killers before we retaliate? For fuck sake you almost lost your life!"

"They face attacks and have lost more of them than we ever did." Theo Growls back more fiercely in anger. "They lose tens and twenty every fucking day and someone is trying to pin it on us."

"It could be all an act-" Sebastian argued further.

"IF we- if we retaliate it shows we are true killers and are behind the attack." Theo continues not minding that Sebastian cut him off.

"Well we haven't lifted a finger and look what's happening already, they already see us as killers. They hunt and lay down traps at every corner of the Woods to ambush us. Do we sit and let them do more damage?"

"More damage will be done if we retaliate-"

"If we do, the most damage won't be left on our side. They would be afraid of us…."

Theo suddenly chuckles deeply

"Afraid?" he questioned before chuckling a bit more and the deep chuckle soon turned into a dry laugh that rebervated into the woods. He suddenly stops and in the blink of an eye he is in front ofSebastian.

"These weapons…" he points to the one Gaek was still holding.

"Is the least of the ones they have under their grasp. A false move and we're going to be in real danger. Listen up 'cause I won't be having this conversation with you again," he moves away from Sebastian and walks to the tree where they had stuck out the arrow, standing in between the men.

"These…." he pauses for a while as he tries to mentally come up with a good name for reference. . "shapeshifters… The shapeshifters aren't attacking us directly." he reasoned more to himself

"I hate to say this, but I think Sebastian has got a good point. It could be the exorcists that map out this whole thing to happen. You said it yourself… Who puts a trap in the grave? It's like they knew you were around- maybe they have their say in divulging our presence." Gael spoke, explaining what Sebastian was initially trying to say. But without the aggression.

"Your point is?" Theo asks as he ruffles his hair. The whole thing was draining him.

"My point is, we are the MoonWood packs, we are and have always been feared Among the other packs. It's either we find our way to them and make them listen and find a way to eradicate the mess together. Or we go for both of them. All we have now is a baseless assumption. Who knows if the whole wolf mimicking that you spoke of was done to lure us in their traps. Or maybe this whole thing could just be a rogue doing."

But of course, Theo had thought of all this, the Maybe's and or's were killing him that's why he resulted in getting solid proof and knowing where the root of the problem is coming from, so he could tackle it suitably.

"Okay" he simply mumbles and ruffles his hair for a second time, clearly stressed. "Let's focus on finding Daniel first, we'll come back to it later." He made to take the lead when he halts and turns to Sebastian.

"And if indeed it turns out to be an aggressive rogue, a female one at that- maybe your mate even…. You'll be in a whole lot of trouble, Sebas."

Theo joked before continuing his way down the path.

He stopped walk-in when he noticed no one was following, he turned to see them staring blankly into space with their wolf out.

"Guys, what is it? Picked up some-"

"Alpha," Sebastian wolf spoke up, making Theo look at them more curiously. "You called us Mate,"

"What?" Theo asked clearly confused

"You called us mate before going back to being unconscious" Gael's wolf chirped in. "We'll go into heat soon if you don't clarify what you meant earlier,"

Crap! Craaaap! Craaaaaaaaaaap!

Theo finds himself exclaiming mentally.

"Can it wait till we're back in our pack grounds?" Theo asked. He knew if he used his Alpha command here they might draw attention from the enemies.

"It depends on how long we stay looking for Daniel"

"It won't be long anymore, if the trail ends, we're back to the pack grounds immediately."

"But," Gael wolf called out hesitantly "Do you have intentions of making us Mate?"

Theo hesitated as he thought of what to tell them carefully; he had to be careful of his word so it wouldn't seem like he rejected them.

"My intentions are purely Platonic, I intend to keep you both as my Beta and Gamma as long as possible till my ruling comes to an end."

Gael and Sebastian's wolves nodded in understanding before slowly allowing Gael and Sebastian to be in control again.

"Phew!" Sebastian lets out a sigh of relief.

"Shh!" Theo mouthed to them. His ears perked up as he tried to listen to what he heard or felt…"

"There's a presence lurking around, stay close. Let's move."
