I came out of the bathroom after cleaning up where Danilo had taken his first bath in our house. The nurses had guided us both on how to bathe him perfectly at the hospital and we had learned extensively at Mummy&Me, that besides a few tears from him, everything went much better than expected. 

Benedito was extremely hands on when it came to diaper duty and it was a sight to see him be a father. He took to it so naturally that all our fears from days ago seemed so benign. I wondered if I looked different to him. I felt hella mature and father like now that I thought about. 

It made me feel like I had my life in order because there was no way I was going to let Danilo see me as a pure mess.
