Failed To Resist

“Oh?” She stopped.

Hunter licked his lips, noticing how cute those little scared and nervous eyes she got, and the way she pretended to be in control just made his dominant side tempted to break her.

Where was I? Hunter slightly cursed his mind since it went off course. He was looking for the thing that he was supposed to give to Claire, before recalling that it was still in his jacket.

“Come with me,” Hunter said, leading the way without waiting for her response.

So, Claire followed him after putting the empty ring box on the table.

She was confused but complied as Hunter led them to their laundry room. And when they got there, he reached for his jacket, reached out his pockets, and let out a bottle of pills.

“I…want to offer you a new deal,--related to last night,--” he said emotionlessly as if they were speaking about business.

He put the bottle on the washing machine before continuing to speak.
