Chapter 119 Bonus Chapter 3-02

There was silence for a minute, and I sensed I had struck a nerve. "I've got my reasons."

I glanced over my shoulder to find her looking elsewhere, the expression on her face tight. I turned back, deciding not to push it. I knew very well that I could shift, run and lose her, but she was too persistent for that. She'd go looking for me, or... something worse.

She was silent, following me without a word to the pack house. I heard Iya squeal before I even got to the porch, and I prayed Dusty couldn't hear her. Before I knew it, Dusty was standing just beside me, her jaw clenched. I was just about put my arm around her, but stopped myself.

The front door flung open. "Corm!"

I scowled, breathing out a growl. "Coffeeblue..." I warned. "It ain't what ya think." Well it was, but it wasn't.

She stopped a few feet away from us, her eyebrows drawing together. Her lower lip stuck out in a pout. "It's not?"

"Well..." I shrugged. "Not really."
