Chapter Twenty Nine

I don't think I've ever seen two people so happy on their wedding morning. So many things could go wrong. But Adrian was smiling so hard you'd think he just passed a bar exam.

"You do know that she can still realize that she's a ten compared to your seven and run right?" Adrian's father, Jacob asked. Adrian laughed happily.

"No. My fiancee isn't like that. She wouldn't leave me." He said confidently making his bowtie. He wasn't ready yet, I mean it was still six in the morning.

"How can you be so sure? Things change." Jacob said wanting to see his son's reaction.

"I am so sure because the sun and the moon never leave each other. Besides, my woman is smitten with me."

Munzi on the other hand was still not even awake yet. She was lost in a world of beautiful dreams of what was to come. At six thirty, the alarm went off again and this time after snoozing, she was unable to go back to sleep. So instead of trying to force it, she literally jumped out of bed and opened the windows and drew the curtains. After taking in the amazing view of the world below, she put on some music. The song that came on first was Whitney Houston's "I wanna dance with somebody". Once it was on, she started dancing and singing. Getting out of her pajamas, she put on a short very white long sleeved t-shirt, a pair of really short shorts and fluffy shoes and continued her dancing. Getting out to the balcony, she stood there arms open just feeling the cold breeze and rising sun light hit her skin. She smiled thinking about the feeling she was getting and then laughed. It was so pure and holy that she took off her shoes. Her whole life, that was the feeling she had been searching for. And now she had found it again with Adrian. Many people look for love and someone who can make them happy, she decided to dream bigger and search for better. After having read so many novels, nothing left her satisfied, she would always move on but with a beautiful stranger eleven years ago, her soul was touched.

"Flashback 19 years ago"

"Come on Munzi we are going to miss the bus." Her father called out. It was the morning of Munzi's first school tour and they had to leave at four in the morning to catch the bus.

"Yes Dad." She answered getting out. They walked a distance of half a kilometre to the bus station. They had to pick up students from other villages so Munzi and three other people were the only ones in the bus. They drove for another half kilometre to the next village's station. As they were waiting for the students, Munzi looked outside the bus. At a far corner hidden by bushes was a small fire. It was lit up in the moonlight just the flames dancing with the gentle breeze. It all seemed so beautiful and pure. And from then on night time became her favorite time. And moonlight symbolised the beautiful light that made night time safe and peaceful. Not to mention the cool air and quiet. So every time she would dream of the future, she would seek that feeling.

   "End of flashback"

"Munzi I hope that you are awake." Jana said getting into her daughter's room.

"I'm here mom." Munzi replied from the balcony where she was leaning on the railing.

"What are you doing out there? It's cold." Jana said joining her daughter and covering herself with a shawl.

"You know how I love the cool air on my skin. It's refreshing and makes my pores tighten or something." Munzi replied looking over her shoulder at her mother with a smile. She then laughed a little.

"You are weird. What are you doing out here anyway?"

"I was dancing and singing and then I decided to get some fresh air before the big day."

"So that's why there's still music playing in your room?"

"Yeah. I woke up with extra energy."

"Speaking of music, why did you stop singing?"

"It was just time and I had bigger dreams."

"That's a shame. You were really good."

"I still am. I just don't write anymore. I like this kind of settled life."

"You are getting married again. That's going to be even more settled."

"I know Mom but my days off searching for myself are over. Actually I found myself years ago but still had to grow up."

"You sure this is it?"

"I am. I mean I will have three surnames on my record but again, I'm not ordinary. Adrian is all I ever wanted along with everything else I have now."

"Okay then, let's go get you married and I want some grandkids soon."

"Don't worry mom, we are planning on having at least six. And as soon as possible."

"Six? You are going to breastfeed six kids? How will you survive that?"

"Oh no. I'm not breastfeeding anyone."

"Good girl. You have a nice body, keep it that way."

"I'll keep that in mind." Munzi replied smiling.

"You two are finally back. It's so late and we only have one hour to get ready." Cally started with them as soon as they finished having their mother-daughter time.

"Why what time is it?" Munzi asked taking the towel and toothbrush from Cally.

"Just seven and the wedding starts at ten." Cally said pushing her into the bathroom.

"Okay I'll be quick." Munzi smiled jumping into the shower. As she showered she sang the song she had composed for Adrian years before. It had become one of the greatest hits.

  "I never thought

  That I could find

  Someone to move

  Me the way you do

  Every day I'd wake up

  Praying for a miracle

  Now I rise and sing

  Because I see you

  Smiling in my dreams

And I know I found it

  That holy feeling and

  All because you make

  Tomorrow my new

  Favorite day"

She sang it all with her whole heart. If she were to be asked, she would call it her best performance. There was something about singing when feeling euphoric, everything just turned out perfect. After showering and brushing her teeth she got out and joined her bridesmaids who were being made up. They had wanted an over the top wedding and the wedding planner had given them just that. Planning it themselves had proven to be too much work and stress. This was their big day and they deserved to enjoy it to the fullest. The six bridesmaids were in green

just below the knee length one shoulder bodycon dresses and black strapped heels. She was to wear a white over the top gown that made her look and feel like the goddess she was.

As for shoes, she had  chosen white strapped wedges which would make it easier to walk all day. The make up was also over the top perfect done by professionals. Once again this was a big day that would be marked as the  wedding of the century. The media would be there and everything was to go perfectly. However, she wasn't nervous about anything going wrong. The sun had risen in the East and the make up team had put on great music. Not to mention everyone was taking photos and videos. It was really fun. At exactly nine thirty, they were done and in the limousines heading to the church. It was the only church in Moonlight Paradise founded by the first bishop to settle there. The roads had been cleared since Munzi was the one who had come up with the idea of investing in a new town and Adrian was the richest man in the world. They got to the church with no hitches.

As they waited in the vehicles for the event to start, Munzi looked out her window and saw Adrian. He was laughing with his groomsmen and taking selfies. She laughed at how happy he looked. True to them, he felt her and looked at her tinted windows. He smiled and winked then took out a letter from his pocket. He kissed it before giving it to one of the groomsmen and asking him to take it to Munzi. The envelope was white with suns and moons on it. It smelled like a mixture of chocolate and coconut, her favorite scent. She opened it and inside was a note.

"Her skin was brown as the potters clay, her teeth white as milk. Her body was moving elegantly like a peacock and her laughter was like a nightingale singing. Her eyes lit up like the moon for she was it. That was and is my love." She finished reading the note and laughed with joy. This day was just perfect. Knowing that he wasn't expecting anything back, she decided to surprise him. She couldn't make a note so instead she sent him a text.

"Don't expect anything back love, I made you a song and Moonlight Paradise." That was the text she sent and it was the right one because minutes later, after reading it, Adrian was seen laughing and sending her a kiss again. And again the sun shone even brighter.
