4 Blind date

The file included some vital information that was now covered in sweet coffee that came right out of Kay's mouth.

Zila let out a little laugh and Kay immediately realized what happened and glared at her. She started typing on her laptop again to avoid Kay's dangerous gaze piercing through her.

He walked towards her table and banged his hands on her desk, "You know that I hate sugar. You did it intentionally. Don't you know I'm your boss?"

Zila folded her arms on her chest and acted innocent. "But you never specified how you liked your coffee. I apologize, but I clearly didn't know."

At this, Kay grew furious. "Don't act like you don't know me. You clearly remember everything."

Zila tilted her head, in an act of confusion, "No I don't."

Zila said, looking straight into his eyes at this, he growled and ordered Zila, " Go and make another coffee for me."

Zila already knew something like this was coming.

"Oh, and since you "forgot", I want a coffee, black, no sugar."

Kay said while pointing towards the door.

She got up from her chair and left the office, heading towards the kitchen. She made another cup of coffee and entered the office again. She purposely slammed the cup of coffee on his table, a gesture he returned by looking up from his papers and smiling at her. Afterwards, she went back to work, and they both started working silently.

At exactly 8:00 pm, they had both finished their work and entered the exclusive lift made personally for the CEO and those he worked with.

He didn't like the feeling of leaving Zila, but he reassured himself, he knew that they'd end up together again, and that he'd find a way to win her back.

He was sure that she still had feelings for him, and truth be told, she did. She still was his wife, and he was willing to win her back, at any cost. She was the one. He knew that she was meant for him, and he'd do anything to get her back.

But the problem was that he had to hurry up and strengthen his position in this country so that he could get Zila back and go back to the way they used to."

They both went in the parking area, Zila heading towards her car and Kay towards his.

Zila started her car and left. Kay had stayed back and watched her, heart aching as he watched her leave, but he didn't know about the pain he had caused Zila, who was somewhat estranged from her family due to him. When Zila arrived home, she once again heard her sister in law taunt her about still being single at this age and how she needed to get married. Again.

But after a long day, she laid down on her bed and pondered about what had happened today, when eventually, she fell asleep.

The alarm clock rang. Zila woke up at around 7:00 in the morning, going through her daily routine and going to the dining room for breakfast.

She wore a pink top with a long pencil skirt that suited her very well and fitted her curves perfectly. She looked at the mirror and put on some makeup, tied her hair up in a ponytail and left her room.

Kay was no exception either. He woke up at precisely 6:00 in the morning and went for his morning walk for about 2 hours before returning back to his house and putting on a black tuxedo and a matching black tie which was what he wore to work everyday. He had gelled his hair to a style that Zila always liked in an attempt to impress her.

They both reached the office at exactly 8:00, arriving at the main lobby at around the same time, and Zila couldn't take her eyes of off Kay, who looked especially handsome.

She thought, "Kay is looking much more handsome than usual. Ugh. Why are all evil men so handsome? I can't believe I still find him hot after everything he did to me, but to be fair, it was also my fault for falling for Sunmi's trap, but also partly Kay's fault, as my husband should've believed me and listened to my explanation, we could've been together, but instead, he trusted Sunmi and threw me out of his house, and because of that, I am NEVER returning to him."

But while she was thinking, Kay was no exception.

"What is that wife of mine wearing? Every man is looking at her and staring, I really want to punch every man that dare look at her. She is MINE. But the worst part is that she didn't even know that they were looking at her. She is so innocent. I can't just sit and let this happen."

He hurriedly approached Zila who greeted him sarcastically, "Hello Sir! How are you?"

He put on a fake smile and replied, "I am doing just fine, but we have a packed schedule, am I right? So, let's go."

She nodded and they both left. They both entered the lift together and went towards the office. Zila told him about his meetings and his schedule for the day, and afterwards, they continued on with their work.

Suddenly, a girl probably in her mid twenties entered the office. She was wearing a long pencil skirt and a tight top. She was holding some files that needed Kay's consent and signatures.

While it may have seemed that Zila was just typing on her keyboard, but she was observing the girl that had entered. She saw lust and seduction in her eyes. Zila immediately coughed to gain their attention.

Fortunately, or unfortunately in their scenario, Kay immediately understood that Zila was getting jealous.

This was the perfect strategy.

He smiled at this and held the girl's hand. In reaction to this the girl blushed, and Zila gritted her teeth.

Kay then dismissed the girl and approached Zila. He had moved across her chair and tried to find a file from the huge shelf of hundreds of files. He had planned that he was going to explain to her but he went towards the shelf, she had started to type vigorously on her laptop.

Kay smirked while seeing this and placed the file down and approached Zila. He bent down so that his face was near hers. He whispered in her ear, Jealous, Zila?"

Upon hearing this, Zila's eyes slightly widened, and she replied, "What? Of course not, why would I be jealous."

Adding fuel to the raging fire, Kay simply replied, "Cause you still love me."

She looked back at him in disbelief and quickly stood up from the chair, "Are you out of your mind?"

He smiled as a reply, making Zila even more furious, and letting her say the 2 sentences that almost broke Kay's heart. "Do you think you're so loveable? I undoubtedly loathe you with all my heart."

Kay's heart ached at this and he looked at her with guilt in his eyes. But before he could even say anything, she stomped out of the office before slamming the door so hard that Kay flinched.

He sighed once again and started working again, not bothering to chase her or anything, as he fully knew that it was best to let her calm down.

Zila stomped out of the office and went to the staff kitchen and drank some water to calm her nerves. She was fuming in rage and wasn't thinking straight. But after a while, she had calmed down and had already finished some work with the staff, she had assigned six teams who were given several assignments and made sure that everyone was doing it.

Once she was done, she had realized it was already around 5:00, and she remembered that she had to go to a meeting with Kay. She unwillingly went to the office, because he was her boss, and she was his personal assistant.

She adjusted herself before entering and gave him her best professional smile and said "Good afternoon sir. If I'm not mistaken, in about an hour, we have a meeting with the CR company at a hotel. I think we should leave for the meeting now if we want to arrive early."

When she addressed the both of them as "we", Kay immediately smiled and said,

"Yes, WE should go."

Zila immediately realized her mistake and rolled her eyes while sighing before they both left for the meeting. She regretted saying that to him but she wasn't able to do anything now. She was now angry at herself for saying that but then just let it go.
