Laxus pov

Today is the most dreaded day that I've had all year so far. I have to meet my sister for coffee. Don't get me wrong I love and adore her with like all my heart but we have serious matters to talk about. It's not all going to be light and bubbly. This isn't fun and games anymore between us. She rings on my doorbell so many times in a row which cause me to rush to the door cause she is annoying as hell. I jump back a bit when she put her eye right up in the peephole which is next level creepy.

Since I did not expect that I jumped back a bit and hey you cant blame me for that. She just stood there laughing at me which I responded to by sticking up the middle finger at her. We have been through a lot together. A couple years ago she was recently diagnosed with Leukemia which is cancer of the bone. Which can be so deadly if you don't treat it fast and even when it is there's a very low survival rate. We just had to have hope that she would make it through and she did, this ones a fighter. I don't know if I could've gone on without her.

That's the whole reason why I changed my career path from helping the homeless which is a very honorable job. Even though it didn't pay well at all its still necessary work and important. I didn't switch until I needed the money for her treatment. Its still my passion even though I went into the mafia business. I am the finacial supporter in my family after our parents were out of the picture. By building the most powerful mafia in the world by the age of 28 which seems kind of young but that's what motivation does for you.

With my own blood and sweat that I built from my own bare hands. Its a miracle it worked and I am forever grateful for my mafia. Otherwise my sister wouldn't be here today. In total the whole cost was $44,000 and that's not even all of this. It was with excellent insurance mind you that's how messed up our health care system is. I am trying to fix that for everyone since they all deserve an equal chance for medical care.

I still have yet to resolve it with Lucy because I'm kind of a coward and yes I will admit that. "Hey I love you but grow a pair and do it already" my sister chimes into my thoughts. I roll my eyes jumping out of the car once we arrive. She has to do a light jog to catch up to me since I'm walking fast. Amy knows that I hate it when she chimes in my thoughts. It feel like an invasion of privacy to me. That's her name if I forgot to mention that earlier along them I'm sorry about that. Even though I am also able to do it to her if I wanted to. When I walk in I hear stuff about us. Some customer who was gossiping to her friend thought that we were dating. When I'm about to say something my sister handled it. "Bitch does it look like we are in Alabama?" She questions her looking straight at the woman. Everyone seems to laugh and go back to whatever they were doing before we came in here. I don't really care just as long as they are minding their own business. I order for the both of us. "Hello I would like a small matcha green tea latte and a grande hot macchiato with cinnamon on top please." Looking around I realize it's not that crowded. So we find a spot pretty easily

Our waitress just gives us our order with no food since I don't eat anything at this time of day. That is kind of irrelevant. I better just get some courage and do something with the fight that I had with Lucy. Well it was mostly me though since I'm the one who freakin walked away. My sister is right I will tomorrow after work. We joked about what happened to us as kids. She used to always push me off of our mothers lap. Since she was the younger one she was kind of spoiled. "Oh when we were young and free" my sister says staring wistfully out the window. One particular word caught me off guard a bit the word free like she is taken. When she said young and free. She looks like a deer in headlights when I questioned her and said "wait who is the person, you said free?" That makes her start to twiddle her thumbs looking down at them.

She does that whenever she is nervous or has been hiding something from me like this. "Well his name is Chase" she starts but doesn't seem to want to elaborate. I will find out more she forgets that I am a mafia leader. "No I won't do anything I promise her." It's almost like she can read my thoughts since she was sitting there giving me the look. Or my facial expressions are ways to read and just give me away. Honestly I think a little bit of both. Well at least not yet she stares pointedly at me. I put my hands up in the air but hey she's my little sister nobody will harm her. Well if they know what's best for them that is but somehow I'm still afraid of her it's ridiculous.
