CHAPTER 13: A New Beginning

"Sure, I just want to go to the bathroom first. I'll catch up with you guys in a minute or two," I said to both of them.

"Ok, we are waiting outside the room, don't be late," Chris said as they walked out of the room.

The doctor left with them too.

"Ok mom," I replied.

I signaled Valek with my eyes to go to the bathroom too. He got off and went in. I went in a few seconds after.

"You have to come with me."

"What?"

"Yes and you are coming with me right now."

"What do you mean by that? You know…I can't Lily. You got your new life, now my responsibility is over. You need to enjoy it now, have fun. But I can't come with you. I am sorry. I can't."

"Look Valek I don't believe I am saying this, but yes I need you to be out there in my new life with me. I can't possibly handle all this without you. What if they think I am not their daughter? What if I mess up? What if I don't fit there? I need you Valek, I really, really do."

"Lily this isn't that simple as you think it is."
