Chapter 31: Summoning
It had been 2 weeks since the old lady became my sensei, and we were standing outside a building at night.
I looked at the old lady, and we both nodded.
As I ran to the other entrance, there were two rogue ninjas standing guard.
I ran up to them, but as one of them tried to punch me, I dodged and kicked them, knocking them unconscious. The other one tried to punch me, but I deflected the attack.
As they continued attacking me, I blocked every attack.
The rogue ninjas tried to punch me again, but I caught his hand before flipping him over.
I then stabbed both of them in the hearts to make sure they were dead.
I continued to neutralize any rogue ninja that I met on my way to the center of the building.
And when I finally arrived at the center, I saw a woman sitting in the middle of the room. Both the old lady and I ran towards her without making a sound, but just as we were about to strike, there was a puff of smoke.
As we jumped back, the smoke cleared, revealing a man with a slashed headband standing in front of us.
Then, I heard a voice, "Did you really think you would be able to kill me?!"
I turned to the source to see someone who looked like the woman that was sitting in the middle of the room. She then snapped her hand, and a bunch of ninjas stepped forward, surrounding us.
Of course, I had already sensed them before. I lifted my hand up, and a fire bow appeared. I then said, "Fire style splitting arrow."
As I shot the arrow upward, the lady laughed, "What are you aiming for."
Just as the arrow reached its peak and started dropping, it split into multiple arrows and took out all the rogue ninjas except for the woman.
As the old lady ran towards her, the woman brought out a dagger and tried to stab her. The dagger was inches from the old lady's heart, but before it could pierce her, she disappeared, appearing behind the woman and knocking her out.
As she sealed the woman in a scroll, we left the building and made our way to a nearby town. After turning the woman in and collecting the bounty, the old lady and I made our way back to the house.
Two more weeks passed, and I just lost to the old lady in a sparring match.
She looked at me and said, "Take a break."
As we were drinking water, I turned to the old lady and asked, "So when are you going to teach me the Mizushō? I've already improved my chakra control and my Taijutsu."
"What are your chakra natures again?"
"I already told you, Fire and Water!"
"Huh, mine is water, so I won't be able to teach you any fire style jutsu, though I have some scrolls on fire type jutsu's. But I can teach you water style jutsu's plus the Mizushō since it's a water style jutsu."
I couldn't help but smile. Sasuke learnt the Chidori, and Naruto said he was going to learn a jutsu even stronger. So, with this jutsu, I'll be on the same level as them again.
The old lady stood next to me and said, "Watch closely."
She extended her hand, and I could sense chakra swirling around in her palm. Then slowly, water appeared, creating a whirlpool. As the speed increased, the old lady started running towards a tree.
As soon as her hand touched the tree, it shattered into pieces, and the fragments were sent in different directions.
I looked at the old lady in amazement as she said, "That's the Mizushō."
"So, old lady, how do I learn it?!"
"I've got a name! It's Yumi Nakamura. Feel free to call me Yumi sensei."
"Yeah, no thanks."
The old lady sighed as she said, "Work on your fire style jutsu and I'll teach you the Mizushō another time."
"Seriously?! Just tell me how to learn it!"
Ignoring me she then performed a few hand signs, bit her finger, and placed it on the ground, saying, "Summoning jutsu!"
Just then, a white lion appeared, and it was as a bit taller than the old lady and the tip of its ears were black.
I turned to the old lady as I said, "That's your summoning. Why is it so small?"
"I can summon a way bigger one!"
"Sure…"
The old lady dispersed the summoning and then summoned a bigger lion.
I looked at the white lion, and it had to be at least 2900cm tall, it also had black markings next to their eyes.
The old lady had a smug look on her face as she said, "See I told you I could summon a bigger one."
The lion seemed angry hearing that as they said, "Did you just summon me to prove a point?!"
The old lady chuckled nervously. As the lion sighed and laid down, and said, "Idiot."
I took a few steps toward the lion and said, "Hey! I'm Hinoka. The old lady's student..."
The lion turned to the old lady as he said, "You actually got a student?"
The old lady grinned as she said "yep!"
"Will you sign a summoning contract with me?!"
The old lady seemed surprised hearing that, "What?!"
The lion turned his attention to me as he said, "I only sign summoning's with people I consider strong, smart…" The old lady looked proud when the lion continued, "But your sensei may be the exception."
"Hey!"
The lion ignored Yumi as he asked me, "What is your chakra nature?"
"Water and Fire."
"Interesting learn the jutsu called Mizushō and I'll sign a contract with you."
"Really?! Then it's a deal."
The lion nodded, and the old lady released the summoning.
I turned to the old lady with a grin as I said, "Now you have to teach me the jutsu!"
She sighed as she said, "Well, to master this jutsu, you need to be able to rotate your chakra counterclockwise. Then combine the counterclockwise chakra rotation with nature transformation. Then you'll need to improve the speed."
I nodded trying to remember everything.
The old lady then summoned the smaller lion back and put on her mask and turned to me saying, "I've got a job, and this will take longer since it's in another land and I haven't tracked the person down yet."
She then threw me a bag and said, "That's the last of our money, so use it well."
"Sure."
The old lady turned to the small lion as she said, "Kaida, I need your help to track down a rogue ninja."
Kaida, with a lazy yawn, replied, "Did you have to summon me? And who's the kid?"
"She's my student."
Kaida turned to me and stared before he turned back to the old lady as he said, "Let's go and get this over with."
