As hours passed, tension in the cabin grew. The hijackers demanded the release of political prisoners and a ransom, threatening to kill passengers if their demands weren't met. The pilot, under duress, relayed their message to air traffic control. The authorities responded, stalling for time while they mobilized a response team.

Jack and Sarah moved stealthily, communicating with hand signals. They gathered a small group of passengers willing to fight back. Timing was critical; they needed a distraction. Jack rigged a makeshift smoke bomb using supplies from the galley, planning to use it to create chaos and cover their movements.

Lisa played her part, distracting Khalid while Jack and Sarah crawled under the seats to access the communication panel. Jack managed to send a brief coded message to air traffic control: "Hijackers onboard. Plan to overpower. Be ready."
