35 Chapter 35 A dulcet feeling

As I ended the song, the lights returned and the loud cheer of the crowd followed. And when my gaze which was diverted away from him a while ago, returned trying to apprehend his expression, I saw the widest smile ever placed on that pretty face of his as he gave me a luscious look.

And my face burned red just by seeing him looking at me like that,

'if he only knew how some things he does makes me feel, then he wouldn't try them' I thought as my face reddened.

I escaped his gaze as my eyes went back to the crowd in front of me.

"Thank you," I said as I bowed slightly before leaving the stage.

{In the backstage}

When I came out, I saw Cami standing with her back facing me, holding a rose In her right hand.

"Camella," I called and when she turned and her gaze caught me, she flashed the brightest smile I had ever seen as she broke our distance.

"Hey, I can't believe you did that without me. Did you purposely leave me out? Oh my! You were so wonderful on stage, I felt like I was listening to Toni Gonzaga." She said as her smile widened.

"Did I sound that good?" I asked.

"Yeah, you sounded marvellous; You sounded as if you had practised it for a long time. It was perfect!" She said and I suddenly felt bad for ruining our presentation, I knew she was looking for me that's why we got lost and it made the feeling of guilt build up in me since I knew that she loved that presentation.

"I am sorry that we couldn't perform together; I know I should have told you where I was going before leaving or I should have not taken long. I am sorry for ruining our presentation." I said gazing at her with guilt.

"Hey, c'mon don't be like that, Yeah, I agree I might be kind of sad but am not angry at all. Besides I am feeling proud of you, I don't think our presentation could have beaten what you gave.

And I am sure you had a good reason for taking long, so don't feel guilty.

And always keep that charming smile," She said as a heartwarming smile appeared on her face and I smiled back at her as I enveloped her with a tight and loving hug.

"I love you," I told her as I tightened my grip on her waist.

"I love you more," She replied.

When we were done exchanging our sweet words, we headed back to the hall to join the fun. When we were close to the hall, I sited Julian from afar leaning on the door with a folded arm.

He looked so damn hot, that I couldn't divert my gaze away from him.

"The key to my heart is finally here," He said when he sited us and I felt my face blaze from his words.

"Julian, what are you doing here?" I asked meekly without glancing at him because of my already burning face.

"I've been waiting for you," He said as he stood upright and approached me with his pretty smile placed on that mesmerising face of his.

"Would you spare me some of your time?

Would you love to go on a romantic date with me?" He asked suddenly when he was close to me and I was left astounded.

'On a romantic date!' It echoed in my head as I tried to put my sparking brain in place and I didn't even realise that I was already smiling.

"Answer, be quick" Cami whispered in my ear and I could hear mischief in her tone but she was right, I didn't need to take long to give the answer which I would say a hundred times. An answer which pleased me~

"Yes, I would love to" I replied with a smile as blinding as the sunlit on my face.

He then stretched his right hand inviting me and as my hand touched his, my world halted for a moment as the warmth it brought filled me: even though this was not my first time touching his palm; I still felt that way and I knew that no matter how much I touched his palm, his face or any other part of him, that warm feeling it brought would never go.

I looked at Cami and she gave me a cheerful smile before we headed out of the building.
