TEAM HUNT

Shiro was in front of Kohta as they both walked toward the exit Shiro had talked about. Shiro whispered to Kohta who was behind him. "I thought it was just the two of us?"

"That's what I thought too." Kohta whispered back.

Shiro whispered again. "Shut the hell up, this wouldn't be happening if you had just kept your mouth shut in the dining room. You had to leak the secret and now, we're carrying extra people."

Kohta scratched his head, whispering to Shiro. "Hehe, I didn't mean to. I'm sorry."

Shiro sighed. "It's fine, I just hope we don't get caught."

Someone moved closer to the both of them and interrupted their conversation. "What are you two whispering?"

Shiro shook his head in response to the person's question. "Nothing. I was only telling him to be quiet so he doesn't end up attracting unwanted attention."

"I see." Saeko nodded and moved further from them. She was the one who had interrupted them.

"What were they talking about?" Hina and Saya asked Saeko in unison.

Saeko sighed and replied to Hina and Saya. "They seem oddly close. They keep talking to each other but they won't tell me anything about what they were saying."

"Such a shame. I hope he's not secretly getting Kohta to leave our group. Hmmph!" Saya snorted.

With a smile on her face, Saeko replied to Saya. "He would never do that."

Hina didn't pay attention to their talks. Her cheeks were pouted and she was thinking out loud. "If he should be talking secretly to anyone, it should be me."

Saeko heard Hina's loud thoughts and couldn't help but reply to her. "What do you mean? It's obviously me, his cousin whom he has not seen for the past six years."

Shiro whispered but it was loud enough for them to hear. "Shhh! We're almost there. No more talking. Saeko, please tell Saya to remember her part."

"I know what to do, you don't need to remind me. You guys can leave now." Saya grumbled.

Apparently, she wasn't going to sneak out with the other four. Her job was to know the location of the place and return two hours later to distract the guards so the others could easily sneak back in. Shizuka, Alice, and Takashi had stayed behind.

They arrived at the exit and found no one there. "See you later, they all exited, leaving only Saya, staring at the light of the full moon.

"Sheesh, I don't know why but I can't stand him." Saya mumbled after they had all left.

"Who's there?" A masculine voice spoke from a few meters away.

"Oh, what brings the young lady here?" The man asked when he got closer to Saya.

" I was taking a stroll in the night when I noticed that no one was at this post so I decided to stay here till someone arrived." Saya replied to the man.

"Oh, I'm sorry about that. I had to collect something from the guard in the next post. That's why I wasn't here a moment ago. To be honest, I was scared for a second when I saw someone standing there from afar. I was relieved when you replied." The man said with a smile that showed relief.

"It's fine, I'm leaving anyway." Saya walked away.

*****

Kohta walked side by side with Shiro, holding a gun in one hand. Shiro on the other hand only left the estate with his red sword attached to his backpack.

"You seem to be on bad terms with Saya or maybe it's the other way around. She's not a bad person, she just tends to act spoiled most times." Kohta broke the silence that had been around since they left the estate as he spoke to Shiro.

"I don't know if I did something wrong but she can't seem to stand whatever I say. It gets worse whenever it's about her. Not that I care though." Shiro shrugged.

"Sorry about that, but she's a good girl." Kohta tapped Shiro's shoulder.

"It's fine, but why a gun and not a sword?" Shiro asked.

"I'm great at firearms but I suck at weapons for melee." Kohta replied honestly.

Shiro just nodded and spoke again. "Well, you'll need to start shooting right about…"

"Now!" Shiro yelled.

Grrr…

Undead attacked out of nowhere.

"Why the hell didn't you warn us? How did you know we were surrounded?" Saeko was the one yelling now.

"Since around five minutes ago." Shiro answered. His sense stat made him aware of his surroundings up to a degree and it had made him notice the undead.

"Get behind me!" Saeko shouted at Shiro. "Kohta, cover my blind spots. Hina, do whatever you want." Saeko gave out orders in a split second.

Hina grumbled. "Nobody tells me what to do except Shiro."

"How exactly are you going to protect me? They're all around us." Shiro acted scared to torment his cousin.

"Just stay put, I'll do something about the situation. I'll open a path and we'll escape from there." Saeko answered his question, keeping her eyes on the approaching undead.

Kohta then spoke out."Over sixty of them. I think we're in for a lot of trouble."

"Nah, we can take them on easily. Can't we, Saeko?" Shiro smiled and pulled out his sword.

Shiro turned to Hina while pulling out his sword from its scabbard. "Hina, do whatever you want. I'm heading out."

He dashed away from the team, leaving three people behind.

"Shiro!" Saeko yelled. She still didn't believe Hina's story because she knew just how weak Shiro's mental strength was. He couldn't bear to see blood when they were younger.

"I'm heading out as Shiro did. Don't worry, he'll be fine." Hina smiled.

Slash!

Immediately after Hina finished speaking, the head of an undead fell off at the front.

Shiro's first kill had occurred and they didn't even see it happen.

Shiro smiled. "Two more."
