INVENTORY SCAM
The backpack scam: Shiro using the backpack as a disguise for his inventory is an idea from one of our Brainbox. MeepsNewGroove.
I took the idea and made a few changes. The backpack isn't really linked to Shiro's inventory but he needed something to use as a disguise when pulling out items and what better option that a backpack?

Shiro pushed the last lunchbox into the inventory.
He washed the pot and returned it. Then he turned to the lunch box he had first taken out of the inventory.
It was now warm and not as hot as before.
He opened the box and started consuming its contents.
"What's that?" Hina asked as she walked closer to Shiro.
"Oh, it's just the food I kept last night." Shiro replied.
"How come it's warm?" Hina asked.
"I kept it in a warm place. A place you wouldn't want to know about." Shiro answered.
"You can have it." Shiro handed the food box to Hina. He couldn't eat much out of it.
"Thank you." Hina accepted it.

"We should hurry up, we've got a school to arrive at in two days." Shiro said to Hina.
"I'm ready but why exactly are we heading to Fujimi Academy?" Hina asked.
"I have a relative over there at Fujimi Academy. She's not a direct sibling but we're cousins. Her name's Saeko Busujima. Her mom was my dad's only sister. She's the only relative I've known since I stayed with her when we were younger. We both learned the art of the sword together." Shiro explained to Hina.
"Oh, I didn't know you had a cousin. And one that's great at swords like you." Hina replied.
"Let's head out." Shiro was the first to exit and a moment later, Hina walked out.
As if leaving for a vacation, Shiro locked the door and they both headed for Fujimi Academy.
"Hold up Hina, let's check out that vehicle." Shiro walked toward a car parked in front of someone's house.
He opened the gas tank and found gas in it. He smiled and walked to the door and opened it.
He checked the car and didn't find a key.
He sighed and came out of the car. He walked to the front and found a corpse. It was a male and just beside him, a key was on the floor.
"I got it." Shiro beamed with joy.
"Get in." He told Hina and then he entered the car.
"Do you have a driver's license?" Hina asked when she got in.
"No, I don't think I'll need one." Shiro replied to her.
"But can you drive?" Hina asked again.
The car started. "I don't think it's hard, right?" Shiro asked with a smile on his face.
Hina immediately knew she was in a huge mess.
The car jerked backward and Hina's soul heart jumped to her throat.
She could be scary at times but not right now. She really felt like she would die this time.
Then the car stopped.
"I think it's better if we walk, Shiro." Hina suggested immediately.
"Don't worry, I think I've gotten the hang of it." The car jerked forward this time.
Hina's eyes became dizzy. "Shiro, I think I'm going to faint." Then she fainted.
"Uh oh. Well, that means there'll be silence now." Shiro dropped off the car and walked to Hina's door.
Shiro opened the door and picked Hina up. He moved her to the backseat and laid her there.
He breathed deeply and walked back to the driver's door. He entered and slowly, he drove the vehicle forward. He would step on the accelerator and remove his leg making the car move and stop.
Little by little, as they advanced, Shiro got better at it, but the speed was totally lacking. He was driving at a speed slightly better than walking but he was making progress.
Hina woke at the back and to her surprise, Shiro was driving.
"Shiro really did it. You learned how to drive in a day. That's totally not possible." Hina complimented and praised him from the backseat.
"I've had a few driving lessons before. The controls just seemed a bit off since it's been a while." Shiro was now driving at a jogging speed.
His backpack was in the front seat, where Hina had been sitting before she fainted.
"Here's a drink. It's not much but that's all that's in the backpack. I don't think we have any water in there though." Shiro passed a can of drink to Hina.
"Don't you think They would be attracted by the noise the car's making?" Hina asked when she received the drink.
"They? You mean the undead? Well, I had expectations but so far, I haven't come across anyone. I know it's great to have such luck but that's so depressing to me." Shiro hit the accelerator and the speed rose to another level.
"We definitely have to stop once it's getting dark so we don't get attacked from all angles by things we can't see." Shiro informed her as he drove, following the drawn line on the map leading to Fujimi Academy.

When the sky got dark, Shiro immediately parked at the closest house and they got inside. As he dropped down, the first thing he took was his backpack.
He walked into the house and found a dining table. He was hungry.
"Inventory." He ordered and the panel popped up.
The inventory would always appear in his line of sight so when he looked inside the backpack, the panel appeared there.
He shoved his hand inside it and when he pulled out his hand, there was a lunch box in his hand.
He placed it on the table and when Hina opened it, vapor and aroma from the box filled the surroundings.
"You sure this was in there all along and didn't get cold?" Hina asked Shiro. She wasn't dumb after all.
"I just brought it out of my backpack. There's no better proof than that." Shiro sighed but his chopsticks were already in the box.
Hina didn't seem bothered by Shiro's answer and shoved her chopstick into it too.
When the food finished, Shiro stood up. "I'll be getting rid of all the disturbances in the area tonight. I'll return late so you should head to bed first. See you when I return." Shiro walked out of the house.
With pouted cheeks, Hina grumbled. "And he left again. Damnit." She walked into the only room in the apartment and soon, she fell asleep.
Soon after Shiro left, he met his first targets. A group of undead.
With a smile on his face, he attacked them. He needed to level up some more.
