Optimum: An ability that grants the user perfect skills for a certain situation. The skills are random depending on the situation and are retracted after the situation is unlocked.

Requirement: Lose 99% of your HP and Stamina while facing a Grand zombie -- a mutated zombie with intelligence and strength beyond imagination.}

'Ah, this fucking system! If there was a hidden perk like this, you should've notified me earlier. And what the hell is a Grand zombie? There was something like this and you failed to inform me? Whoever set this up is definitely a bastard. I won't die until I get that bastard.' Shiro gritted his teeth in pain and anger.

The petite zombie slowly inched closer. "Human heart… Will human give heart?" She asked again.

"Activate Optimum." Shiro whispered with his last strength.

User is currently on the brink of death against a grand zombie.

Skills required for survival:

Regeneration - grants user healing abilities and stamina in exchange for points.

Berserk - boosts all stats points by 300%.

Sprint - increases user's speed by 50%.}

Shiro glanced through the details now on the transparent screen only he could see. He has no attention to the zombie approaching him at the moment. He didn't seem to care.

'Player Stats.' He ordered. The panel screen expanded and the details changed.

Shiro immediately felt all his strength return to him within seconds. Although he was totally healed and even in better shape, the blood on his body remained that way, making him seem still injured from afar. He turned his head to the sides in search of his sword but couldn't find it.

'Tch. I wanted to end this in a flash.' He complained when he couldn't find it.

She finally got to Shiro's front after ten minutes of walking like a snail.

"I take human heart." She smiled and raised her claws, planning to dig into Shiro's chest.

Shiro folded his hand into a fist and looked her in the eyes. "Sorry, but the heart remains with me."

Bang.

The punch was so fast and heavy that she was sent flying over ten meters away bouncing at intervals like a stone thrown across the surface of a lake.

Boom.

She smashed into a rock.

'What in the world!?' Shiro's eyes were wide open.

"Heart. I must take human heart." She stood up as if nothing had happened even though she now had a broken arm.

Swoosh…

She vanished and when she appeared, she was clawing at Shiro's neck.

He moved backward and was surprised to see himself rolling two meters away.

He still couldn't control his new strength precisely. The jump in power was massive.

"Shit. I totally forgot she's a zombie before anything else. Even if she could communicate in human language. They don't die till their necks are snapped or chopped off. Oh, they also die if they are shot in the head. But I have no gun. Option three is out of the list." He still looked around, searching for his sword.

She didn't give him any breathing space. She was already in front of him the moment he got distracted looking for his sword.

Swish.

"Oh…" He moved to the side to avoid her claws which were oddly longer than even that of the wolves she had with her.

"Mind if I ruin that?" Shiro asked as he held her hand.

Crack!

He twisted and broke her hand but she seemed… normal?

She didn't feel any pain so the act of breaking her hand was wrong. Not totally wrong though.

Now, she wouldn't be able to use both hands.

"I would've loved to send you back to your boss but…"

Shiro's fist squarely landed on her chest, throwing her up into the air before she landed back.

He ran after the sword he had found on one side of the forest and picked it up.

As if he was a ghost, he appeared before her.

"I don't know whose heart you might go after next so it's better I stop you here." He brought down his sword on her neck.

Splash.

Her head got separated from the body within seconds and blood gushed out of it.

"Rest in peace. Former human." Shiro swung the blood off his blade and went around, searching for the scabbard.

"Ugh."

Shiro's eyes began to spin as his head kept banging as if someone was drumming inside. It felt like his head would split.

He looked at his front and saw a new panel in front of him.

{Hidden Perk Penalty: User experiences aftereffects tantamount to the skills obtained by the perk.}

"This bastard keeps playing with me." Shiro cussed as he staggered away from his current position. He couldn't afford to fall unconscious here.

The moment he walked out of the forest and got into a small apartment, he fainted.
