HELL AT SCHOOL

On the balcony, a tall seventeen-year-old boy with brown eyes, black spiky hair, and a black uniform rested his arms on the balcony frame. He seemed lost in his thoughts.

"I'm going to marry you, Takashi." The voice of a little young girl sounded in his thoughts.

"Really? Do you really mean it?" A younger Takashi asked the girl.

"Yeah, pinky promise." They both extend their pinkies to make a promise to each other.

Takashi's thoughts went on until it ended abruptly.

Then he spoke. "If you lie, I'll make you swallow a thousand needles…"

"That's so stupid." A female voice sounded from his side.

"Takagi?"

Saya placed her hands on her waist and complained about how Takashi always escaped to the same place every time he had to face something he didn't like.

Saya was a sixteen-year-old female with pink hair and orange eyes and an ample chest.

She walked up to Takashi and scolded him some more.

He looked back at her and when he saw her chest, he looked away.

Without bothering, she continued to complain, and then she noticed he wasn't even listening. He was back in his previous position.

"What's this? Just because you got dumped by your childhood friend? That's stupid." She walked away from him.

Takashi just stood there, lost in thoughts about the past.

Bang.

He arose from his thoughts.

"Who's that? Someone suspicious?" He asked himself.

At the school gate, a man was hitting his head against the gate.

Four adults walked up to the man. Three males and a female who seemed to be in the lead. "What do you want? Better not do anything strange." She scolded the man but he didn't seem to hear.

"It's okay Ms. Hayashi. Let me handle this." One of the males walked forward, folding the sleeves of his shirt.

He held the man outside the gate by the collar and pulled him forcefully toward the gate.

Bang.

The man's head hit the gate.

"Wait a minute, Mr. Tejima. Excessive violence is…" The woman called Ms. Hayashi was still speaking when it happened.

The man outside the gate held Mr. Tejima's hand and bit into it.

Mr. Tejima pulled his hand and fell to the floor, writhing in pain.

Takashi was on the balcony, witnessing what was happening.

Mr. Tejima seemed to have gone crazy from the acts he displayed. Then he stopped moving.

H… He's dead." One of the men spoke. Then, Mr. Tejima's hand moved.

"Mr. Tejima, are you okay?" Ms. Hayashi asked.

His eyes opened and Ms. Hayashi moved closer to him.

"Mr. Tejima. Thank God…" She was still speaking when he placed his hands on her chest and pulled her closer.

He bit her neck and she screamed and fell in pain. The others close to her gave space when they saw what happened.

Takashi saw it happen and didn't wait anymore. He dashed away from the balcony back to class.

He pushed the door open and walked up to Rei. Rei Miyamoto was Takashi's childhood friend who dumped him. "Come with me. We're getting out of here." He pulled her out of her seat.

"Wh… what are you talking about?" She asked with a voice filled with shock and fear.

Hisashi Igou, Rei's boyfriend and a classmate of Takashi walked up to Takashi. "What is all this about, Takashi?"

Takashi turned to look at him. "Some people were just killed near the school gate. This is bad."

Hisashi asked again. "Are you serious?"

"What do I gain by telling a lie like that?" Takashi asked him.

Rei pulled her hand from Takashi's and raised her voice at him. "Jeez, what's going on? I can never understand what's going on in your head!"

A slap from Takashi sent her quiet for a moment.

She held her red cheek and asked. "What…"

Before she could finish, he yelled at her. "Just listen to me." Takashi turned to look at Hisashi.

Without saying any more words, the three of them left the class in an attempt to leave the school.

"Tell me what's going on!" Rei requested as they walked in the hallway.

"There was someone at the school gate. The P.E teachers went to check it out and something happened. And now, those P.E teachers are killing each other." Takashi answered without halting for a moment.

"That's insane…" Rei was lost for words.

"If what you're saying is true, we'll need some weapons right?" Hisashi asked Takashi.

Takashi ended up with a baseball bat and Hisashi held a broken mop stick.

"What about you Rei?" Hisashi asks.

"Let's call the police. My dad's there too." Rei replied to him.

He handed his phone to her and she called the police.

She waited but no one answered the call.

"No way…" Rei was getting scared.

"What's up?"

[You may stay on the line or call back later. Currently, 110 is experiencing an extremely high call volume.] This was repeated on the phone.

"110 is busy. That's impossible." She sobbed.

Then the school speaker went on. [This announcement is for all students. A violent incident is taking place inside the school right now! All students must follow your teacher's instructions and evacuate. I repeat.] The message repeated.

"So they finally realized it."

The repeated message was stopped halfway.

"Help me! Stop it!" Shouts came from the announcement room.

A chubby male student with black hair and glasses named Hirano silently crawled out of the class in the midst of everything happening.

"Hirano." A female called out to him and he stopped in his tracks.

He turned and looked at her.

Then she told him. "Let's run."

The yells in the announcement room continued and the whole school could hear it through the speaker. The scream grew louder and louder then it stopped. Everyone had cold feet in their positions.

Then, as if a timer stopped in all of their heads simultaneously, all hell broke loose. Screams echoed from classes as students bolted away from their classes, pushing, fighting, and even stepping on those in their paths.

"This way!" Hisashi shouted and ran in a different direction.

"The classroom building is too crowded with people. We're going to escape from the management building." Hisashi said as he ran.

Takashi and Rei bolted after him.
