Waking up earlier than usual, I separated Aimi from my body to get prepared for today. After taking a shower, I headed downstairs to grab the tools I would need to survive today's carnage. Today will be the day that everyone will be in a panic. Without the government to tell the citizens what to do they will resort do anything they want whether it's murder, stealing, r*pe, and much more.
Arriving at the secret latch to my basement, I entered the pin code, opened the door, and walked inside, closing the door behind me. This was where I kept all the supplies I ordered as well as my gadgets and weapons.
(A/N: it just sounds cool so ignore it)
School bag in hand I went towards the weapons and grabbed my daggers and fingerless gloves and put them inside. Grabbing a bottle of water and some snacks as well I stuffed them into my bag and left.
Leaving the basement I locked the door and closed the latch before going to the kitchen to make breakfast. Nothing too heavy, just some light breakfast. Toast, eggs, sausage, and salad with some tea.
Putting our portions on the plates I put them on a breakfast tray. Walking upstairs I heard a rustling noise coming from my bedroom. Most likely Aimi getting dressed or waking up.
Opening the door, I saw that Aimi was still in bed stretching her arms.
"Ahhhh-Hhaaaaaa" she yawned, rubbing her eyes, "Ohayo"
"Ohayo, I made breakfast, so let's eat before you get ready," I said, setting the tray down on my desk, and opening the blinds and window. Today was a beautiful day. The birds were chirping, the wind was blowing and the flowers were dancing.
'It's unfortunate that this all end's today.'

After we were done eating breakfast, Aimi went to shower as I watched the news. I always wondered how the virus spread so quickly. In the anime and manga, it never got that far as the author, unfortunately, passed away. Looking at the news there have been no reports of dead bodies walking around or cities falling.
It's just so… normal. For an apocalypse to happen worldwide like this in a matter of hours is insane. It could happen through airborne droplets, food, and water. But to spread a worldwide pandemic through a simple zombie bite is impossible and even if it was, how was the first person infected?
Haaaaah… I won't find anything speculating. I'd probably need to break into a high-ranking bureaucrat's home or office to find anything.
"Kodaka, let's go. Thanks to the power shutting off in the school I need to finish the rest of my work for progress reports," she said, rushing me.
Of course, I was the one who did that. Shutting off the power at the school would give us a reason to leave early to the school. I know I could've just asked but I doing this makes me feel like a mastermind or something. But now I can observe everything from the rooftop long enough to make a call before Canon starts.
"Okay, I'm coming" turning off the TV, I grabbed my blindfold, and bag before leaving the house.

"I'm going to be in the Faculty Room grading papers, so if you need anything just let me know," Aimi said.
"Alright, I'll text or call you just make sure to have your phone on you at all times," I told her.
Nodding, she gave me a kiss and walked to the faculty room. Watching her enter the faculty room, and close the door behind her, my face turned serious. There are 45 minutes left until Canon starts and I'm in a good position right now.
I can contact Aimi anytime and she'll pick up as I reminded her to keep her phone on her. She's also located in the faculty room where all the main characters will soon meet up at. Now I just have to make it to the rooftop and watch.

It's been 30 minutes since I've been on the rooftop and nothing has happened yet. I don't see any smoke in the air, the smell of death and dead bodies. There's nothing. Since nothing unusual happened I was researching how to tame animals.
Although the studies and reports show that you can't domesticate animals like pandas and stuff. That only applies to humans. I may be human but I'm in no way ordinary.
My body is enhanced in some way. I don't know how but ever since I began training I felt like I was getting stronger slowly but surely. It's probably god's doing but I don't know why. Is there going to be something I can't defeat without an enhanced body? Or does he have something else in store for me?
I won't be getting answers as of now but I'll find out sooner or later.
After a few minutes of research, I lifted my face away from my phone and saw someone on the horizon approaching the school gate. Staring at the figure, it was just like in the anime. The figure was a middle-aged man with a black suit, and unlike a normal person, his eyes seemed sunken and dark, devoid of life.
Seeing this scene in real life made my heart beat faster. Not out of fear but excitement. It's time to put all my plans and training to use. Grabbing my phone I quickly called Aimi.
The phone ring ended and someone picked up, "Uh, Kodaka, what's wrong class is about to start you know?"
"Never mind that. Listen to me, come to the rooftop right now." I said in a serious tone.
"Huh?" She was obviously confused as to why I was so serious but soon relented, "Alright, I'm coming."
Hanging up, I put my phone in my pocket and kept my gaze on the zombie. Finally reaching the front gate he kept banging it over and over blind to what was in front of him.
A few minutes went by and some teachers went outside to see who he was. What they got however was a bloody bite from the zombie. Looking in the distance I saw there was more approaching the gate, but not at a fast pace.
*Creak* *Close*
Turning around I saw Aimi approaching me wondering why I called her here. Instead of saying anything I just pointed toward the front gate.
"What the hell is going on?!" Aimi asked with a quivering voice.
"Zombies," I said grabbing my bag and throwing it on top of the platform we use during lunch.
"What do you mean zombies?!" Aimi asked, "Those things only happen in movies and shows right? There's no way they can be real right?"
Walking to her I embraced her, calming her down before responding, "This is real, and to survive we have to accept reality."
Nodding slightly, she tightened her grip. We stayed like this for a few moments before she finally calmed down.
"Okay, so what do we do? Do they have weak spots? Why didn't the news report this in the morning?" She asked a volley of questions which I answered one by one.
"First of all, we are otakus of all sorts, you know what we have to do. Second, I'm pretty sure they have the same weak spots and if they don't we'll just have to find it. Third, if new's reporters actually knew what was going on they would have probably reported it but I highly doubt it."
"Why wouldn't they?"
"Fear causes chaos, and chaos can destroy the order in society. And if there's no order, who knows how many lives will be lost?" I answered.
Climbing on top of the platform we waited there in silence until Aimi spoke, "Kodaka, aren't you afraid of what's happening?"
"No, not really." I said shaking my head, "If anything ever since I saw it my heart started beating faster not out of fear but excitement"
Of course, this seemed to shock her. I mean who wouldn't be shocked? The dead are up and walking and the person you love says he's excited about this.
"Haaaa, what am I going to do with you?" she said, pulling me in with a lap pillow.
"You're not disillusioned with who I am? I just admitted that I'm excited that this is happening." I asked her.
"No, I know exactly what type of person you are. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't shocked by what you said but I can accept it. I love you, ya know we're in this together." she said with a bright smile.
Grinning, I lifted my head and kissed her to which she reciprocated.
"We should wait. When the times come we will make our move."
