Chapter 17

xXxXxXxXxX

A few days has passed since the battle with Kokabiel. Ryu, Hayate and Ayane immediately left without a trace while Kasumi and Akari stayed with Vince and Rias. The first few days were hectic as they would argue over who would sleep next to him. Vince ignored the arguements for the most part, due to him occasionally spacing out and would constantly lock his room while going to bed and even going as far as to charge his door knob and his body with electricity while asleep, knowing that Rias can get in with a magic circle. While during the few days both Kiba and Vince awkardly apologized to each other, after a quick sparring match they went back to normal.

Eventually Vince and the others sat down and discussed what happened to each other what happened during the time they weren't together, after seeing him training with his ice. Rias and her peerage were surprised at what happened to him, while Vince just sighed as he heard what happened to them, with him not explaning about the Totsuka-no-Tsurugi and evading the question when asked. After explaning what happened to each other they began normal club activities.

With Yasaka and Vince calling each other regularly and talking to each other about their current day. To his surprise, Yasaka has gotten slightly more bolder in asking about Kasumi, Rias, Akari's living arrangements with him.

Right now Vince sighed as he leaned against the wall of inside of the clubroom. He thought over for a moment before speaking up. "Hey Akeno, I have a question."

"What is it Vince-kun?" She asked curiously.

"It's about one of the Seraph from the church. Her name is Gabriel right?" Vince asked crossing his arms.

As he said this everyone's attention turned towards the two as her eyes slightly widened from the question. "Yes, she is. Why do you ask?"

"And does she have curly blonde hair and looks extremely attractive?" He added.

Akeno nodded as Vince shook his head in disbelief. "I see, thanks."

"Why are you asking this Vince, do you know her?" Rias questioned.

"Yes."

Everyone's eyes widened greatly as she spoke up. "Why didn't you tell us sooner?"

"I didn't know it was the same person." He retored.

"How do you know her Vince?" Issei asked in a confused tone.

"I'd rather not talk about it. It's private." Vince answered, causing the others to frown slightly.

A knock was heard on the door. Vince walked to the door and opened it his eyes narrowed at seeing Xenovia dressed in a Kuoh uniform for girls. "Hey. Reinhart, Sekiryuutei."

"Wh... why, are you here?" Issei asked in shock as he pointed his finger at her.

"You're wearing a school uniform. Does that mean you're going to start attending here soon?" Vince questioned raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, after I found out that God is gone. So I turned into a Devil as a self-abandonment. I received a "Knight" piece from Rias Gremory. It seems like I'm not that great, while Durandal is. So I was able to become a devil with one piece. And I was also placed in this school. From now on, I'm a second year student and also a member of the Occult Research Club. Lets get along, Issei-kun, Reinhart-kun." Xenovia said, while breathing with her nose.

"...Don't make such a cute sound with a serious voice." Issei said dryly.

"Just call me Vince, Xenovia." He replied with a shrug.

"But reincarnating!? Buchou. Is it all right to use such a valuable piece?" Issei asked her.

"Well. Having a Durandal wielder feels reliable. With this, it's a birth of the two-swordsmen, along with Yuuto." Rias replied with a smile, before she turned to Vince. "I still have an extra piece for you Vince, if you want to join my peerage."

"No."

Rias pouted but nodded, respecting his decision.

"Yes. I'm a devil now. I can't go back. No, maybe this was a good thing. Hmmm, but since God is gone, my life was a failure. But serving under a devil who was once my enemy is... Even if she is a sister of a Maou-" Xenovia was immediately interrupted as Vince poked her forehead with his index and middle finger.

Xenovia held her head in pain, both from praying and for what Vince did. "What was that for?"

"For saying your life was a failure." He said simply, surprising the others.

"By the way, where's Irina?" Issei asked trying to change the topic.

"Irina returned to headquarters along with the corpse of Balba and the five Excaliburs including mine. The "fragments" that act as the cores were retrieved in that state. So the mission of retrieving it was accomplished. If they have the cores, they can use alchemy to make the holy-swords again." Xenovia explained.

"You gave those cores so you didn't get on the church's bad side, right?" Vince asked seriously.

"Yes, I had to give them the Excalibur back just in case. Unlike the Durandal, there are other wielders that could be chosen. Having Durandal is enough for me. When I mentioned the absence of God to them, they became silent. So I became an outsider for knowing the absence of God. The Church hates outsiders and heresy very much. Even if that person is the wielder of Durandal, they will cut them off. Exactly the same way as the incident with Asia Argento." She said laughing.

"That's the church for you, well at least 90% of it." Vince remarked.

"Irina was lucky. Even if she wasn't in the battle because of the wounds, she ended up not knowing the truth. She has a stronger belief than me. If she found out about God, I don't know what would have happened to her." Xenovia stated shaking her head.

(If it wasn't for Gabriel and her, I probably would have hated the church more. Right now, I just feel neutral, but mostly empty.) Vince thought with a small frown.

"Except, she was really disappointed that I became a devil. I couldn't tell her that it was because of the absence of God. It was an awkward farewell that we had. Maybe we might be enemies the next time we meet." She remarked, her eyes narrowing.

"The Church made contact with us devils. More precisely, the Maou talk about this incident. They said, "We would like to make contact with you because of unclear and dishonest actions of the fallen-angels even though we feel unsatisfactory about this". They also apologised about Balba because it was their mistake for letting him escape in the past." Xenovia then looked at Vince. "They also would like to speak too you as well Vince. The church wishes to know more about your abilities and what holy-sword you have with you."

"Well, when it comes to the church, I wouldn't mind answering that question to two people. Aside from them, the church could mind their own damn business." Vince answered bluntly, surprising Xenovia.

"I see, not to many people can say that so boldly about the church. But this school is truly terrifying. Because there's another sister of Maou attending this school." She said sighing.

"The truth about this incident was sent to the God-side and the devils' side by the viceroy of the fallen-angels, Azazel. The theft of the Excalibur was an action taken by Kokabiel only. The other leaders didn't know about it. He planned to break the tension between the three sides. Because he tried to start another war, he was going to be put in the Cocytus for eternity in a frozen state, but Vince unexpectedly killed him." Rias explained to them.

The others looked at Vince to which he shrugged as he balanced a small ball of lightning from his index finger.

"Though it ended with the death of Kokabiel. They tried to stop the rampage done by one of them by sending someone from their organization." She added.

"There would also be a meeting between the representatives of the angels, devils and Azazel. Apparently there is something Azazel wants to talk about. I heard that maybe Azazel would be apologizing about Kokabiel then. Though it's suspicious if Azazel would apologise." Rias said in a digusted tone.

"Well, I can see why." Vince said, causing the others to turn to him.

"What do you mean Vince?" Rias asked raising an eyebrow.

"He wasn't to prevent another Great War. Look at the casualities from the previous war, God is dead a door mat. The Devils can't produce pure blood devils because their not potent enough or they're doing it wrong, and the Fallen-Angels are pretty much an endangered species." He replied crudely.

Everyone looked at him in disbelief from the blunt and very crude description as he continued. "It's pretty obvious that another Great War would pretty much kill everyone."

Rias blinked twice at the explanation before she nodded, seeing the logic behind it. "Anyway, we were also invited to that meeting. We have to report about the incident at the meeting because we were involved."

"Are you serious!?" Issei shouted as everyone else, with the exception of Vince looked shell shocked.

"Do I have to tag along? I'm not even apart of any faction." Vince asked with desdain.

"Yes you have too. Along with Kasumi, Ryu, Hayate, Ayane and Akari. The six of you played a crucial role in all of this and you did kill Kokabiel." Rias explained.

"Fuck."

"... "Vanishing Dragon" belongs to the side of the Fallen-Angels, right?" Issei asked looking at Xenovia

"That's right. Azazel is gathering Sacred Gear possessors who has a "Longinus". I don't know what he is thinking, but it's definitely something not good. The "Vanishing Dragon" is the top fighter among them. I heard that he is the fourth or fifth strongest out of all the strong people there including the leaders of Grigori. At this point, he is far stronger than you, who is his rival." She explained, much to his surprise.

Xenovia then looked at Asia and Vince. "...That's right. I will apologise to Asia Argento and Vince Reinhart. Since God didn't exist, then his love and help didn't as well and I apologise to you Vince, you never were with Kokabiel and I nearly putted you in that dangerous situation. I'm sorry, Asia Argento. Vince Reinhart, hit me much as much as you want."

"...No, I don't intend to do something like that. Xenovia-san, I'm enjoying my current lifestyle. Even though I'm a devil now, I met someone... people who are important to me. I am happy because of the place I live in now and the people I have met." Asia said giving a pure smile.

Vince however shrugged as he ate out of small a bowl of cherries, to which he got from a small refrigerator near a room next to the shower. "As long as it doesn't happen again, I don't see a problem."

Xenovia nodded in thanks, before she turned to Asia. "...So only you and I are the only Christians that found out about the absence of God. I won't be able to say something like a divine punishment to you now. So a heretic huh? I was a holy sword user who was admired, but now a heretic huh. I can't forget about how their eyes and attitudes changed when they saw me."

"Then I will be leaving. There's a lot of things I need to know about before transferring to this school." Xenovia then tried to leave the room.

"U-Umm!"

"On the next weekend I'm going to go out to play with everyone. Would you also like to join, Xenovia-san?" Asia asked smiling.

Xenovia's eyes widened greatly, before she smiled bitterly."Next time then. This time I'm not interested. Except..."

"Except?" Asia asked confused.

"Can you take me around the school next time?" Xenovia asked smiling at her.

"Yes!" She said smiling.

"I will swear it in the name of my holy-sword, Durandal. I also would like to have a battle with the holy-demonic sword user over there as well." Xenovia stated.

"Alright. I won't lose next time." Kiba replied with a smile.

She turned to Vince, "I would also like to battle with you Vince. I may not know what is the name of your holy-sword, but I can sense that it's very powerful."

"Alright, I could use a good spar. But can you teach me a few tips about using a holy-sword? I got it a few weeks ago." He asked eating another cherry.

"Yes, I will give you some pointers." Xenovia replied nodding.

Vince also nodded as Rias spoke up. "Vince, I would like to ask you, what was that attack you used to kill Kokabiel?"

"It's called Jigadirasu Uru Zakeruga. You can consider it the result of my training." Vince answered as everyone looked at him, waiting for him to continue.

He raised an eyebrow, "What? I'm not going to explain what it does. Oh, that reminds me."

Vince then turned to Yume. "Don't explain what it does."

Yume nodded as everyone else's eye twitched in annoyance, with the exception of Asia who looked a little sad.

Rias sighed as she shook her head. "What about your Sacred Gear? Why didn't you tell us you can turn into an angel?"

Vince deadpanned, "Rias. I live right in one of the central points of a Devil's territory, with you being Lucifier's little sister along with the another person who is also related to a Maou. Do you really think it would have been smart to reveal that I can turn into a Devil's hated enemy?"

"No. But you could have told us, we are your friends." She retorted.

"Everyone is intitled to a secret you know. Besides, do you know how much of an uproar it would cause if the other factions found out?" He asked seriously.

"Vince is correct. If the church would ever find out, their reaction may not be too pleasant." Xenovia added with a nod.

"Yeah, not to mention other devil's too. My Sacred Gear pretty much spits on everyone's belief." Vince stated.

(Well, I guess this means Rias and I will have to explain this to Kasumi and Akari again when we get back home.) Vince thought to himself as he ate a cherry from his bowl, twisting the stem with his tongue.

Asia looked confused as Vince finished eating the cherries and leaving it in a knot, using his toungue. "Umm, why are you tying up the cherry stem with your tongue?"

"Practice, Asia."

"Practice for what Vince-san?" She asked innocently.

Vince held back a smirk as ate another cherry while tieing the stem in a knot with his toungue. "You see Asia, tieing a cherry stem with your tongue is good practice for a guy. It's good practice for kissing and good practice for a guy when he gives oral sex to a woman."

He then went into explicit detail about on how tieing a cherry stem with your tongue will improve the person's skill. By the time he finished everyone's face were blushing bright red at the explanation. Vince then turned to Issei with an almost evil smirk. "By the way, did you practice for Asia?"

Asia fainted as Issei quickly caught her with a bright red blush. "Shut up Vince! And don't corrupt Asia with this type of stuff!"

"She was gonna learn in sex-ed class anyway." He replied shrugging.

"I-I should leave now." Xenovia said quickly leaving the room with a blush.

"...Pervert sempai." Koneko said with a blush.

"Coming from a midget, that means nothing to me." Vince remarked, causing Koneko to scowl at him.

"You really shouldn't have went into that much detail, Vince-kun." Kiba chasited, as he shook his head.

"Again, she was gonna learn in sex-ed." He retorted.

"Ara ara, you're more experienced than I thought Vince-kun. How long have you've been doing this?" Akeno asked with a blush.

"Since I was thirteen. It became a habit ever since." Vince answered nonchantly, causing Rias and Akeno to blush even more.

"W-Where did you learn this?" Rias asked, trying to regain her composure.

"The internet." He said simply, causing nearly everyone to shake their heads in disbelief.

Rias calmed her blush down as she claps her hand. "Now. Since everyone has returned again, let's start the club activity again!"

"Yes!" Everyone replied with the exception of Vince who just leaned against the wall.

[Vince, you should use this time to train so you can use your Ice element. You have been neglecting in training it.] Yume advised.

"Right."

As everyone was doing their activities Vince just stood against the wall as he practiced trying to create Ice from his Element Brand. (Watching them do this, it takes me back. I wonder how both her and Gabriel are doing. Gabriel is probably helping the kids like she used to and the other one is probably getting hammered.)

(Flashback)

A thirteen year old Vince grumbled as he was dragged by Elena to the church. "Mom, why do I have to go to this church? I don't even like religion!"

Elena sighed as she saw the irritation on his face. "Honestly, the church isn't bad Vince."

"Could have fooled me mom." He deadpanned.

"Why do you even hate the church?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"People blindly follow a guy that's been dead for who knows how long. It's like if they're brain-dead or something!" Unbeknowst to Vince, he had no idea how accurate he was with that statement.

"Vince, the church has been helping us for a long time. You know we're poor I can hardly make ends meat as it is. The least we can do is go to church and to show our thanks." Elena stated seriously.

"Whatever."

She sighed, "You've been like this ever since Kasumi and Hayate left two years ago. Do you miss them?"

"No. I already know they were going to leave. It's no big deal." He replied shrugging.

Elena wasn't fooled as she saw the pain he was masking. She shook her head sadly, not knowing how to help him. "We should get going, we're going to be late."

"Yeah, yeah."

The two arrived at the church, Elena then looked at Vince. "Don't try to skip hearing the bible like you did last time, by staying in the restroom."

"I promise to try my worse." Vince snarked.

Elena flicked his forehead causing him to rub his head in pain. "That's not the answer I was looking for."

"Old bat..." He muttered.

"Excuse me?"

"Tch, sorry. I'll go explore the church if you need me." Vince replied as he walked hastely away from her.

"Don't be late!" Elena called out.

"No promises!" He answered, causing her to shake her head in disbelief.

Vince walked down the hall of the church as he examined the statues and paintings. (Seriously, I swear they have a hard-on for this guy or something.)

He continued to walk until he bumped into a beautiful blonde woman, wearing a pure white dress, with curly blonde hair and voluptuous figure. "Sorry miss."

"It is quite alright, I also apologise for not realizing where you were. My name is Gabriel, what is your name?" She asked, introducing himself.

"...Vince Reinhart."

Gabriel smiled as she patted his head. "I see, so your Elena's son. It's so nice to finally meet you in person."

"Oh, your the lady from church that helps mom out. Thanks." He said, remembering to be polite.

Gabriel's eyes then trailed to the tattoo on Vince's hand. "Oh my, you have a tattoo already? I didn't think Elena would allow that."

"She didn't. It sort of came out, I guess." Vince replied placing his hand in his pocket.

Gabriel's eyes widened before she nodded, already knowing. "I see. Did that tattoo one day appeared on your hand?"

"...Yes, why?"

She smiled at him, "You've been born with something very special, you've been blessed by God, be sure to take care of your blessing Vince."

Vince snorted, "A blessing by God? That's hard to believe."

"And why is that Vince?" Gabriel asked curiously.

"This acts more like a curse." He stated cynically, unbeknowst to him a small spark of electricity erupted from his hands.

Gabriel saw this and looked at him sadly, "I see now."

"See what?"

"You have trouble controlling your blessing right?" She questioned.

Vince said nothing but nodded. "I've had help trying to control it, but it's not enough."

Gabriel nodded and hugged him. "Don't worry, I'll have a friend of mine come here and help you. She's very good and will help you learn how to control your blessing."

Vince blushed at the contact as he felt her breasts press against his face, but nodded. "...Thanks, Gabriel."

"Your welcome Vince." She said smiling, unintentionally pressing his face closer to her breasts, causing his blush to deepen.

His eyes softened slightly as he hugged her. (I don't feel any bad intensions from her. But I can't let my guard down to anyone.)

After a few moments they stopped hugging as Gabriel smiled. "Would you like to come with me to go see your mother? The hearing of the bible will begin soon."

Vince calmed down his blush as he shook his head. "I'm gonna go to the restroom."

He hastily walked towards the restroom, causing Gabriel tilt her head cutely, slightly confused.

As soon as Vince went into the restroom and noticed it was empty he opened the window and jumped through it. (Just because mom owes the church, doesn't mean I do.)

(Flashback End)

Vince started chuckling as his hands were covered in ice. He flicked his fingers, causing the ice to shatter into pieces and scatter. (I really did acted like a brat back then. I wish I could have done a few things differently back then.)

"Ara ara. Did you think of something fun, Vince-kun?" Akeno questioned.

"Sort of." Vince noticed Rias read a book and raised an eyebrow. "She's really, reading intently."

"Ufufu, did you know Buchou started reading a manual on love?" Akeno asked smiling.

"So that book Rias is reading..." He trailed off.

"Yes."

"So, is it for you? After all, you two are really close..." Vince asked with a small smirk.

Akeno's eye twitched in annoyance, as she tried to zap him with her lightning, only for him to shrug off the lightning easily. "You shouldn't insinuate such things Vince-kun."

"Wait, so you're not a-"

"No." Akeno said sharply, cutting him off.

"Lesbian." He finished, much to her ire.

"Ara, ara... If you really want to see me and Buchou get intimate, then perhaps I could make an exception just for you." Akeno teased.

"Only if I'm apart of it." Vince joked with a small chuckle.

"Jokes aside, she's reading that because of me, right?" He asked, forming a ball of ice in his hands.

"Yes, Buchou has been reading that whenever she gets a chance." Akeno replied.

"Ah and Rias hasn't read it in front of me. Well, I know what I'm going to do." He said walking towards her.

"Ara ara, he's as mischievous as kitsune." She stated giggling a little.

Vince snuck up behind Rias and placed his head, next to hers. Unintentionally causing their cheeks to rub against each other. "So... You in love with someone?"

Rias' eyes shot up opened immediately as she quickly got away from Vince and hid her book with a blush on her face. "Vince?! W-Where did you hear that?"

He pointed his thumb at Akeno as Rias' face turned even more red from embarrassment. "Akeno!"

"Ara, I've been found out." She said, placing a hand to her cheek.

"Well, back to work." Vince spoke, walking away nonchantly as he started working on his ice.

[That wasn't a nice thing to do Vince.] Yume said with a small frown.

"No, but at least I got some good entertainment out of it." He replied, causing Yume to shake her head.

xXxXxXxXxX

Vince and Rias opened the door to see Kasumi and Akari smiling at them.

"Welcome back Vince, Rias. How was school?" Kasumi spoke with a smile.

"It was good, but we need to discuss something. It's very important.

"I see..."

Akari nodded as she walked to Vince and kissed him on the lips, then hugged him much to Rias and Kasumi's ire. "So, how was school Vince?"

"It was okay, Akari." He spoke with a small shrug.

"If you want, I could wash your back for you." She said smiling.

"Akari, get your hands off of Vince." Kasumi asked in a irritated tone.

"Why should I? I just want to make Vince only mine." Akari spoke with an innocent smile.

"He's not yours, he's my fiancée!" Rias yelled pulling apart Vince and Akari.

"Oh, for fucks sake..." Vince muttered as he walked away, as the three got into an agruement again.

[Aren't you going to stop them?] Yume asked in a concerned tone.

Vince deadpanned, "That would mean I would have to get in between two deadly kunoichi with one them having the ability to teleport and Lucifier's little sister. There is no way in hell, I am not going to get in between them."

[I see your point. What are you going to do?] Yume asked curiously.

"Relax, a little." Vince answered, closing the door to his room and his eyes as he leaned back against a small chair.

(Flashback)

A thirteen year old Vince visibly blushed as he saw Gabriel walk towards him with a young woman with long red hair with yellow ends that resembles flames, pink eyes and a voluptuous body. The young woman wore a revealing bikini top with a denim jacket, along with blue pants with red markings on her chest and abdomen. She looked at Vince and then towards Gabriel, "Is this the kid?"

"Yes, this is Vince Reinhart." Gabriel spoke before she turned to him. "Vince, this is Shura Kirigakure. She will help you learn how to control your blessing."

Vince nodded as Shura looked at him more closely. "He looks like a shrimp."

A tickmark appeared above his head as sparks of electricity erupted from his body. "I'm thirteen, you jerk!"

"Well, aren't you fiesty? And the control Gabriel talked about had is mostly gone." She said nonchantly.

"Yes, unfortunately as the days go on his control slipping away." Gabriel spoke sadly.

"I see. Don't worry about it Gabriel. I'll get the little shrimp in shape, heck I'll even tone down his temper a bit." Shura answered nonchantly, causing his eye to twitch.

"Thank you Shura, I apperiate it." She replied smiling.

"No problem, besides this pretty much a paid vacation. Florida is a good place to hit the beach." Shura commented.

"Yes well, please be sure to train Vince first before going to the beach." Gabriel then smiled and hugged Vince, unintentionally causing her breasts to press up against his head causing him to blush. "Be sure to listen to Shura, her methods may be hard but it's for your own good.

"R-Right..."

Gabriel smiled and left after saying goodbye. Shura then chuckled, "You have a crush on her don't ya?"

"Do not." He replied looking away with a small blush.

"Sure ya don't. Now then, I'm gonna whip you up into shape so get ready shrimp." She said with a sadistic grin on her face, causing Vince to fell a shiver down his spine.

"Now then, I want ya to give me fifty sit ups and fifty push ups, after that run across the field of the church four times." Shura spoke.

"What!? Did you know how long that is?" Vince shouted in annoyance.

"Of course I do, now get started on your warm up kid. Afterwards, we'll get in the better parts." She said as she took out a can of beer from her tattoo.

"How did you do that?" He asked surprised.

"It's a secret. Now quite stallin' and go!" Shura answered taking a sip from her beer.

"Dammit..." Vince muttered as he started doing the sit ups.

(Flashback End)

Vince opened his eyes as he shook his head, mildly annoyed. (I just had to remember that. Shura's training schedule was complete hell, but I'm glad I had it. I wouldn't have been able to survive without it.)

[Are you okay Vince?] Yume asked concerned.

"I remembered the time I met Shura." He spoke.

She smiled and nodded. [I remember her, Shura was a very nice person. She taught you everything you needed to know to learn how to control Element Brand.]

"Define nice person." Vince replied deadpanning.

[Don't be like that Vince, you know she is a nice person. Besides, both she and Gabriel are the reason why you like older women.] Yume responded.

"Don't remind me Yume." He answered with a small blush on his face.

Yume smiled at seeing his small blush, but nodded. Vince shook his head as he lied down on his futon. "Regardless, I think tommorow I'll go out on a trip."

[A trip, where to?] She questioned.

"Vatican City, in Rome. Gabriel always told me that I should go there if I have the chance and Shura even said that the place has it's moments. I have more than enough money from my job with Helena so I'm good to make a trip and come back, even then if I run short on funds. I could always steal some cash." Vince stated.

[Please don't.]

"No promises."

Vince cellphone sounded off as he checked the caller I.D. his eyes narrowed before he picked it up. "Azazel?"

"Hey Vince, I heard what happened. I didn't think you would come in and fight Kokabiel with powerful shinobi like Ryu and Kasumi and kill him." Azazel said in a slightly surprised tone.

"Well, it was necessary. Besides, if I recall correctly he did want to fight somebody strong. He got his wish at the cost of his life." He replied with a shrug.

"Yeah, you have a point there. He always did wanted to fight powerful opponents regardless of the outcome." Azazel commented.

"...So, I'm guessing Albion told you about what I did right?" Vince asked after pausing for a moment.

"Yeah, he told me about your holy-sword and that attack you did that killed him and pierced through the barrier that was placed on your school. You're full of surprises, what's the name of the holy-sword, you're carrying?" He asked in a curious tone.

Vince sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, "I'll keep the name a secret. The less people that know, the better."

"I see."

"You didn't call just to say "hello" didn't you?" Vince asked crossing his arms.

"No, I have a job for you." Azazel said.

"Hrm... What's the job?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

"I need you to go to Kokabiel's old base, invesitgate and gather as much information from their as possible. I'll be sending two people to help you on the investigation." Azazel explained.

"All right. Where's the base?" Vince questioned.

"It's just outside on the outskirts of Kuoh." He answered.

Vince blinked, surprised by the answer. "That's really cutting it close you know. At the moment, Rias is really on guard after the whole incident."

"I'm not surprised, but there should be no problem. The base itself is just near Kuoh, it's not in her territory." Azazel replied.

"Ah, now I see where you're going with this. On a technicality Rias can't do anything since it's not actually in her territory, just barely outside of it." Vince deduced.

"Exactly."

"Yeah, I'll go now. I should be there in a few minutes, later." Vince closed his cellphone and pocketed it.

[What do you think about this Vince?] Yume asked curiously.

"Well, I see it as a way of getting another job in. As for Azazel, if I had to take a guess it's because he wants to find something in there that further proves that Kokabiel did this without his knowledge to pass the blame on the dead guy." He answered with a small shrug.

[That seems to be the case. Especially since Kokabiel used to be one of the leaders.] She stated.

"Yeah." Vince walked out of his room and looked to see Rias, Kasumi and Akari cooking.

Kasumi noticed him coming out and smiled. "Dinner will be ready soon Vince."

"Dinner? Weren't you three fightning?" He asked in a confused tone.

"That was three hours ago Vince." Akari answered shaking her head.

(I didn't know I slept that long.) He thought, surprised.

"Just still down and wait for a little longer Vince." Rias said to him.

"I like to, but I can't. I have a job to do right now." Vince replied, surprising them.

"A job, from who?" Rias asked raising an eyebrow.

"The same client, that asked me to capture those four fallen-angels, before Asia got reincarnated." He answered cryptically.

Rias' eyes narrowed as Kasumi spoke up. "What do you have to do?"

"I have to do an investigation of an old building. I'll have some help, so it won't take long." Vince said with a shrug.

"Will you be gone long?" Akari asked him.

He shrugged, "It all depends on the investigation itself."

"Well, at least give us your number so we can call you." Rias said folding her arms, causing her breasts to rise.

Vince discretly glanced at her breasts, which didn't go unnoticed by Kasumi and Akari who frowned. "Is it really necessary?"

[Vince, remember what happened at the oil rig?] Yume asked seriously.

"Ugh, fine." After exchanging numbers with Rias, he quickly left.

Akari however smiled, "I'll be sure to wash Vince's back when he gets back."

"You will not, he's my fiancée!" Rias shouted jealously.

"Akari, do not. It is indecent to do such things." Kasumi spoke in a slightly annoyed tone.

"If I recall correctly, it's only in name until your situation with your previous engagement is mostly forgetten Rias. And you're only saying that because you want to wash Vince's back and have him wash you throughly, Kasumi." Akari countered, causing Rias to fume in anger and Kasumi to look away with a blush on her face.

Vince stopped walking on the outskirts of Kuoh to see an abandoned building with vines and trees growing from underneath of the building. "So, this is the place..."

"It is, I'm surprised Azazel-sama sent you in to help us." A feminine voice spoke up.

He turned to his left to see Kalawarner looking at him, along with Raynare who scowled at seeing him. Vince ignored her and turned to Kalawarner. "I take it you're the one Azazel sent to help with the investigation?"

"Yes, Azazel-sama only told us that someone we know will be helping us." She replied.

"I can't believe you're the one Azazel-sama talked about." Raynare spoke in a irritated tone.

Vince however ignored her and continued. "He did tell you that, you're just barely outside of Kuoh's perimeter, right?"

"Hey, don't ignore me!" Raynare shouted with a scowl.

"Yes he did, and Raynare don't antagonize him. Azazel-sama told us not to upset him and he is the one that killed Kokabiel." Kalawarner reminded with a frown.

Raynare slightly paled as Vince raised an eyebrow. "Is it really that important?"

"Of course, even if you did have assistance. You were the one who killed him and you were the one who brought those four powerful shinobi to assist you and you wield a powerful holy-sword. Everyone within the Three Factions are still talking about it." She explained.

"Huh..." Vince's face remained uncaring, but inwardly was completely surprised at the news. (Damn, I didn't see that one coming. I thought Hayate, Kasumi and the others would overshadow what I did.)

He sighed and extended his hand, "Either way, we haven't really properly introduced ourselves. My name is Vince Reinhart, what's your name?"

Raynare looked surprised at the gesture as Kalawarner also looked slightly surprised, but shook his hand. "My name is Kalawarner and this is Raynare."

"Right, let's get started on the investigation then." Vince retracted his hand and tried to open the door in the building, only to quickly noticed it was locked. He tried to forcefully open the door, but to no avail.

"There seems to be something barricating the door. We'll have to remove what's in the way in order to go through." Kalawarner mused.

"I'll take it from here." Vince's hand went to Crescent Rose in it's travel form.

"What's that thing going to do?" Raynare asked with a scoff.

"You'll see in a moment." He switched the weapon causing it to change into it's sniper form, surprising the two fallen-angels.

Vince took aim and fired, the round easily pierced through the door and any object that was barricating it. The force of the recoil sended him a few centimeters back, but was otherwise not affected by it. He switched Crescent Rose into it's scythe form and brought it down, slashing through the door and the barricates. Vince heaved Crescent Rose over his back as he turned to them. "It's taken care of, let's get going."

"You seem to be well equipped." Kalawarner spoke in a slightly surprised tone.

"What kind of weapon is that?!" Raynare asked frowning.

"A hybrid." And without another word, he walked on ahead, causing Raynare to fume at him for basically ignoring her question and walking off, while Kalawarner just walked ahead.

Vince walked through a corridor with Raynare and Kalawarner, his eyes were constantly looking around for anything out of the ordinary. The three eventually stopped at the end of the corridor after seeing a metal door baricated with four thick metal bars. "Well, I think we found what we're looking for."

"Yeah." Kalawarner replied with a nod.

"Let's break down the door and get this over with." Raynare answered as she created a light spear.

Vince sighed and switched his weapon into it's sniper form while Kalawarner nodded and created a light spear as well.

The three fired from their respective weapons at the barricated door. The bullet pierced right through the metal bars, as the light spear pierced right through the door itself, leaving a gaping hole. Vince switched it into it's travel form and placed it on the side of his back, he walked towards the door and harshly kicked down the door with a water kick. The force of the kick and the density from the pressurized water caused the door to be sent flying and crash into a wall, leaving a noticeable dent on both the door and wall.

The two fallen-angel's eyes widened at the damage done from the force of the kick as Vince nonchantly walked in the room and looked around. Upon entering the room he noticed that the room itself looked like a lab, with various paperwork scattered across the floor, test tubes on the deck and large computer right next to it. "I think this place is a good place to start looking."

"Looks like it." Kalawarner commented.

"Whatever, let's get started." Raynare said as she started examining the room.

Vince saw a pen and piece of paper on a desk and wrote the word "PMS" on it. Before looking around.

Kalawarner saw this and giggled lightly before starting on the investigation.

The three investigated the room as Raynare looked through some papers, with Vince reading through a book and Kalawarner checking the computer.

A few minutes later they stopped looking with Vince closing the book with a calm poker face, but on the inside was shaking his head in disbelief. "Well, this book might help Azazel quite a bit."

"Why?" Raynare asked raising an eyebrow.

"It states what Kokabiel was planning. Also, he planned on killing anyone he had a previous partnership with to get out of the way." Vince said seriously.

Raynare immediately paled as Kalawarner spoke up. "Then that means Kokabiel would have killed us right after."

"What do you mean exactly?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

"Kokabiel was the one who gave Raynare the idea to extract Twlight Healing from that nun. He said that she would be a great help and become closer to Azazel-sama." She informed him with a small sigh.

Vince just looked at Raynare like she was an idiot. "And you didn't even bother to ask Azazel himself to make sure, or see if Kokabiel was lying. Really?"

"Shut up!" Raynare yelled as her face turned red from embrassment.

Kalawarner cleared her throat as she held up a disk in her hands. "I've also gotten some information on Valper Galilei's experiments after he was expelled from the church."

The two looked at Raynare as she showed a few papers. "I got a few papers about the Excaliburs."

"This should do it then." Vince handed the book to Kalawarner. She took the book and accidently tripped, causing her to fall on top of him.

Kalawarner smirked and as she placed her hands on his crotch as she felt something brush up against her hands. "Not bad."

Vince also smirked placed his hands on her breasts and copped a small feel. "Likewise, Kalawarner."

Raynare shot the two an annoyed look, "Get a room or continue with the job, I want to get this over with quickly."

The two nodded and got up from the floor with Vince muttering. "You need to get laid."

"I heard that, I don't need some kid telling me that!" Raynare shouted with a tickmark above her head.

"Uhuh, sure." Vince replied in a non caring tone as he walked away.

She shot him an even more annoyed look as Kalawarner shook her head. "He's really different from what I thought."

"Whatever."

The three walked out of the building as Vince turned to the two. "This should end the investigation, right?"

"Yes, we've gotten a lot of information. I'm sure Azazel-sama will be pleased to know it turned out so well." Kalawarner commented.

"Good to know. Anyway, later." Vince replied, as Raynare scoffed but nodded slightly.

Kalawarner however smirked seductively, "Perhaps the next time when we meet, we should get a room."

"Oh. That's nice to know, I might take you up on your offer then." He replied chuckling a little before walking.

Authors Notes: That's the end of the chapter. It was pretty fun to write this chapter because I was able to go more into depth on certain things I've been want to get out of the way for a while. Now to go a little bit more in depth with the explanations.

I decided to write a small summary of what happened because it would have made things easier, that and the Light Novel barely went into much detail on what happened during the few days.

Also, I decided to show how Kasumi, Akari and Rias usually act ever since moving in. Just to show that Vince does have girl problems and tries to avoid breaking up the fight because, they're deadly.

As Vince stated, he didn't tell them about his ability to turn into an angel from Angel/Devil because it isn't a very smart thing to say in a territory filled with Devils, the same thing applies to his holy-sword. Not to mention, it would cause further attention to be on him from the Three Factions, which he wants to avoid.

The reason why he didn't explain his attack, Jigadirasu Uru Zakeruga, is because he didn't want to and didn't see a reason why. They may be friends, but that doesn't mean he has to tell them everything.

As for why Vince started to go in depth, with his cherry explanation was just because he wanted to mess with everyone for the hell of it, especially Asia whom he slightly corrupted. It was pretty funny to write the reactions I, myself laughed a few times too.

The flashback scenes I wrote were to give an indication on how Vince was like back then. He wasn't always seemingly calm and nonchant like he is today. Vince was by all accounts an angry and disrespectful kid until he met Gabriel and Shura. So, I wanted to put those two flashbacks in to also show how he met them.

Before anyone else asks, yes this is Shura Kirigakure from the anime/manga Blue Exorcist. The reason why I included her was because I think she would be a good addition to the story especially with the type of interactions both she and Vince could potentially pull off.

Also, I made her Vince's teacher because I wanted to show that he didn't get strong by himself. No, he wasn't perfect in the beginning and had a lot of flaws to begin with.

I will be going more in depth why Vince needed training despite him already having training from Hayate in the next chapter so don't worry about it.

One thing to note, I know Shura's background will be changed slightly to match the settings in DxD. So don't worry she's still one of the few top exorcists in the church.

Oh and one thing I would like to further mention. Yes, Gabriel and Shura are the reason why Vince likes older women and also he does respect them a lot. The reason for this is that as you probably guessed with Gabriel, she's been honest and kind with him while Shura toughened him out. It's also why he's going to Vatican City, I'll go into more further detail about that in the next chapter.

And finally, the reason why I decided to have Raynare and Kalawarner appear was for them to interact with Vince. It was unique writing the interactions, I tried keeping them in character the best I could.

That's pretty much it for the explanations. I hope you enjoyed the chapter, let me know what you think about it. I like reading and responding to the feedback I get, it's really fun and it keeps me going to write a new chapter as soon as I can. Anyway, that's it for this chapter, later.
