WOOSH

PLAFF

Shinka's fist struck with the flat part of Raymond's wooden sword.

A flash of surprise crossed Raymond's face as he blocked the attack.

WOOSH

With some force, the man pushed the boy back with the flat part of the sword.

'He's adapted well to the increased gravity.'

Raymond watched as Shinka rushed towards him at great speed and prepared himself.

WOOSH WOOSH WOOSH

With swift movements, he dodged all of Shinka's attacks.

'He hasn't become stronger, at least not physically, or faster, but something has changed now.'

Shinka, airborne, launched a spinning kick towards Raymond's head.

Dodging the kick with a backward lean, Raymond avoided it without much difficulty.

'Yesterday, Shinka was thinking a lot about his attacks, but now it seems like he's acting on instinct. It's like fighting instinct.'

WOOSH WOOSH WOOSH

Once again, Raymond dodged all the blows.

'These aren't random or conventional strikes. He's using martial arts.'

Raymond was pleasantly surprised.

Entering such an exquisite battle flow state and being able to use skills that require a certain level of awareness wasn't something that someone who had fought once or twice in their life could do.

POCK

Lost in his thoughts for a moment, Raymond felt as if something gripped his foot, preventing him from dodging a jab from Shinka.

'You sneaky little...'

Raymond lightly struck Shinka's right arm to deflect the attack.

With his other free hand, he grabbed Shinka's clothes and abruptly twisted his body.

BOOM

Shinka's feet hit the ground, but his body didn't touch the floor.

'He knows how to break a hold?' Raymond wondered instantly.

Feeling a sudden grip on his clothes, Raymond watched with amusement as Shinka's hands grabbed him and forcibly lifted him.

'He's a judoka!' Raymond felt the strength of Shinka's grip sending him to the ground.

BOOM

Raymond's feet hit the ground forcefully and delicately, avoiding Shinka's effective strike.

Agilely, Raymond let go of the wooden sword and, with his other arm, grabbed and threw Shinka a few meters forward.

Quickly retrieving the wooden sword, he began to press Shinka with cuts.

SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH

Shinka effectively dodged each slash.

'You can't dodge forever!' Raymond shouted.

Shinka dodged the cuts by spinning backward.

THUD

Shinka's back hit a wall.

Raymond's eye gleamed, and he quickly delivered a swift slash.

WOOSH

SLASH

In less than a second, Shinka had used the wall as support and jumped.

SHFFFF

Shinka's hand dragged along the ground to stop his speed and not get too far from Raymond.

'How agile!' exclaimed Raymond, having turned around.

Before he could continue praising, Raymond felt a tug on his right foot.

He quickly glanced down and saw how Shinka's grip magic swiftly dragged him.

Raymond prepared himself and swept with his free foot. Shinka was forced to jump, but with force, he lunged with a kick to the man's chest.

BOOM

The wooden sword stopped the blow.

'That thing would have broken if I hadn't reinforced it with magic!' A bead of sweat trickled down Raymond's cheek.

Still, he had a confident smile.

With force, he pushed the wooden sword, and Shinka jumped.

WOOSH

In the air, a powerful kick from Raymond sent Shinka flying to the ground.

...

In the mental world, Shinka glanced sideways at the fight.

He was absorbed in reading one of his memories, specifically looking at the magic matrix in the room.

He could already use that magic if he wanted, but the problem was that it was limited to a specific point, and immovable.

He couldn't use it on his body, and that's what he wanted most right now.

It was a bit complex because if the magic was cast on a biological body, nothing bad would happen, but when you wanted to move at a certain speed, the magic circle would instantly break.

So Shinka thought of a simple solution.

He had been experimenting, and the circle could deform its shape to encompass a room that was constantly changing, but not in motion.

So Shinka thought it was a good idea to use his mana field magic to create a fine coating around him, which instead of being hard and resistant to withstand blows, would be elastic and moldable so that his body could move at will.

Immediately, Shinka's body was enveloped in a translucent blue field which gradually became invisible.

Then a magic circle formed, reflecting on Shinka's back, but not in direct contact with his skin, but with the invisible field.

As soon as the circle glowed, it deformed, completely wrapping the energy field, and also became invisible.

WOOSH

Shinka made a sudden movement.

CRACK

The deformed circle manifested again and broke like a mirror.

The logic behind the experiment was that instead of the mana field moving in the direction Shinka was going, it would deform in that direction, making it appear to move, but simply being in a state of continuous deformation.

"I'd save all the mana field trickery if I could quickly raise the level of gravity magic, but I don't have time for that..." He whispered as he looked at his system.

After thinking for a bit, Shinka looked up at the temple, and through a skylight in the ceiling, he could see the real world.

"I have to hurry, it looks like Raymond is taking the training more seriously." The boy couldn't help but say as he watched the fight.

Shinka lowered his gaze and resumed practicing.

After a few minutes, finally.

[Fixed Gravitational Alteration Magic Lv.6]

"Alright, that will be enough for you, No.2," Shinka turned off the magic and with a thought, a small shelf emerged in front of him.

That small shelf contained some scrolls, each of which was magic that Shinka knew.

Whatever was inside that small shelf would be the abilities that Shinka No.2 could use.

It was like insurance. Shinka was sure that in the future, there would be some ability that would be better used with caution, so to avoid any disaster, at the moment he separated his consciousness, he created a way to limit the other in terms of their abilities.

Quickly, Shinka inserted the scroll containing gravity magic and mana field magic into the shelf.

...

BOOM

Outside the mental world, Shinka had just crashed forcefully onto the ground.

"You certainly improved, but you still have a long way to go. We better finish the training for today." Raymond said as he approached his student's body.

Shinka got up from the ground, dusted off his clothes, and then looked at Raymond.

'His eyes are brown again.' he thought as he looked at him.

Shinka's expression was calm again, as if he had everything under control, unlike during the fight.

"Wait, I have one last trick up my sleeve." he whispered, and his eyes turned golden once more.

An energy field formed around Shinka, adjusting to his body, and then a mana circle formed, deforming to match the same shape as the energy field.

Raymond watched the event with delight, clenched his jaw, and smiled.

The mana field covering Shinka became invisible, but the deformed magic matrix glowed.

Shinka's speed was extremely fast.

'He became lighter!' Raymond thought in an instant and prepared himself.

BOOM

His mana-reinforced wooden sword stopped a powerful blow from Shinka.

'And heavier when he strikes.'

Shinka disappeared again in a blur of light.

THUD

THUD

THUD

Shinka appeared and disappeared suddenly, constantly besieging the man.

THUD

THUD

'I'm abusing the ability of my Sacred Gear.' Raymond thought as he stopped Shinka's blows one by one.

Suddenly, an explosion of golden light caused Shinka to be thrown back.

"Magic Reinforcement!" Raymond shouted, and his body was enveloped in golden angelic light.

His body moved even faster than Shinka's and reappeared in front of him.

"The training is over." he announced as he delivered a powerful blow to the boy's stomach.

WOOSH

BOOM

The church walls reverberated with the impact of Shinka.

The light enveloping the boy disappeared, as did the mana field and the matrix.

"That hurt," he whispered as he tried to get up.

"They're brown again," Raymond said as he approached the boy.

"At least it wasn't as strong as yesterday's," Shinka said, finally getting to his feet.

"Let me help you," Raymond extended his hand, and a magic circle formed in front of Shinka.

A warm glow enveloped him, and it felt as if he hadn't just been hit by the force of a speeding truck.

'Healing magic?'

"Yesterday I had my right arm broken, and even internal damage, but when I woke up today, I was perfectly fine. I guess you healed me while I rested."

"You caught me," Raymond said teasingly.

"I didn't leave the church all night just to take care of you. You should thank me," he whispered.

"Should I thank you even though you were the one who left me in that state in the first place? I don't think so. And besides, you should give me the scroll with that magic," Shinka said cheekily.

"And why would I do that?"

"You want to use me to protect Takido, so it's even in your best interest that I have it. Plus, it's just a formality; I can learn by watching your magic circle."

"I know, I'm just kidding. I'll give you the scroll after I teach you something else. Get up."

Raymond helped the boy to his feet, and they walked out of the training room.

Outside the room, Shizumi and Kaede were watching the spectacle from the door.

"That was a good fight." Kaede said to both of them.

"It's still amazing to see someone our age with that strength." Shizumi whispered almost inaudibly.

"And where will you go now?" Shizumi asked as she watched her father walk with Shinka following him.

"I'll show young Shinka the church library. It's time for him to learn the truth about the world."

A flash of desire for knowledge formed in Shinka's eyes.

'Finally.' he thought.

Finally, he wouldn't be blind to everything happening around his world.

'What does this reality hold?' was the only thing he wondered as he followed Raymond's back.
