The holidays were about to end, and the sun in the city of Takido was making its presence known, causing the temperature to rise.

Shinka closed his eyes as he meditated.
"My mana core has expanded quite a bit, right now I have more mana than grandma," the boy reflected.
When he got home, he had tried several things. First of all, using various magics at the same time was really complicated.
It took a lot of concentration for each magic circle. It certainly wasn't complicated for him to do two, but more than that, it began to be a difficult task.

The circles began to spin rapidly, and to someone else's eyes, the magic circle would be completely rewritten in a matter of seconds.
What could be initially categorized as a simple magic circle, in seconds, turned into a highly complex one.

Shinka smiled slightly at seeing his new ability.

In an instant, both magic circles deformed into a perfect sphere. It was a sphere that covered Shinka's entire body, and it was of a translucent blue color.
The boy inside the sphere smiled confidently as he placed his hand outside the sphere but left his body inside.
An energy sphere appeared in his hand and immediately shot towards a wall.
Suddenly, a magic circle appeared on Shinka's left hand.
Another small field of magic energy formed where the sphere was going to impact, but upon touching the energy field, the sphere bounced off and flew towards Shinka.
The boy put his hand back into the energy field, and when the energy sphere touched the field, it exploded, but it didn't cause any damage inside the field. Even outside, everything remained intact due to the little power used in that magic sphere.
Nevertheless, it was enough to test his new magic.
Basically, he could create mana fields anywhere in his environment, which had many different uses beyond protection.
After such a spectacle, the mana field protecting Shinka shattered like broken glass.

Looking to another part of the room, specifically, Shinka looked at a glass on his desk.
He extended his hand, and a mana circle appeared.
After a few moments, the circle disappeared instantly, and Shinka's hand was enveloped in a strange glowing blue aura.
Swiftly, a thick beam of blue light extended from his hand to the glass on the table, and the beam reduced its distance, instantly bringing the glass to Shinka's hand.

And after a few hours of practice with his two new abilities, both had risen to level 10.
For each level that the mana field increased, it became denser, or it was easier to modify its physical properties.
And for grip magic, the force exerted and the amount of weight it could carry became greater.
With level 10, Shinka could probably lift a car. With great difficulty, but at least he could do it.
"It's time to try something more interesting," Shinka mentioned silently as he sat on the floor with his legs crossed.
"My sister's friends are capable of using magic, and even my grandma, which means magic is accessible to a good number of entities in the world."
"If there are magical beings in Takido, then I must know." Shinka closed his eyes.
All he wanted was the well-being of his family. If in Takido, his city, there were beings like the one his sister faced in the city of Kuoh, then he really should start hunting them.
On the other hand, if there had been no news of a grotesque creature walking the streets of Takido so far, then Shinka assumed that someone was taking care of it, to avoid involving normal people.
Or maybe Kuoh was just the nest of supernatural things.
Shinka didn't know, and that was another reason to practice his new skill.
Under Shinka's thoughts, a series of magic circles began to appear in all directions.
After a few seconds, his entire room was flooded with blue light emitted by these magic circles.
