"You've got to be kidding me."

Alright…. Your five minutes are over." I heard Kat say as she clapped.

But I wasn't ready to stop. From the way Mia responded to the kiss, I guess she wasn't ready too. Gradually, we started pulling away from the depth of the kiss

We finally broke apart, staring into each other's eyes for a few moments before I stepped back, slightly dazed at how wonderful that was.

"That was awesome," I whispered, loud enough for only her to hear.

"It certainly is," Mia responded with a shy smile, and I felt my heart skip a beat in response.

I couldn't help but smile back, recollecting how her lips played on mine. I guess she's thinking about it also. 'Or maybe not.'

I reminded myself to thank Sam for the dare but also take revenge on him as I retreated to my position in the circle.

"That was hot," Sam said.

The others were saying different things I wasn't even ready to hear. I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement as everyone was already loosening up and enjoying the game.

The sound of the others chatting and laughing filled the air, but their words seemed distant and muffled to me as I focused on the bottle's movement.

I stole a quick glance at Mia and noticed that her cheeks were flushed a bright shade of pink.

A small smile tugged at the corners of my lips as I picked up the bottle and gave it a spin.

It seemed to spin for an eternity before finally coming to a stop, the neck of the bottle pointing directly at Jack.

"I think I'll pass," he said, his voice deep and confident.

He reached for one of the cups of whiskey and tossed it back without hesitation. I watched as his face twisted slightly, the strong alcohol obviously affecting him.

He grabbed hold of the bottle and gave it another spin. This time, it landed on Sam.

Without waiting to be asked, Sam declared, "Truth."

"Confident uhn?" Kira teased.

I quickly signaled to Jack to come closer and leaned in to whisper something in his ear. Jack's face lit up with understanding as I whispered my suggestion to him, and I could see Sam starting to look a bit worried.

I heard revenge can be sweet, but the worried expression on Sam's face is divine.

"You know that's not fair," Sam protested, his voice laced with a hint of anxiety. "In fact, it's not even allowed."

"I'm just giving you a taste of your own medicine," I replied with a sly grin.

"Tell us your most embarrassing moment from 7th grade." Jack finally said.

"Tell us your most embarrassing moment from 7th grade," Jack finally said, his voice dripping with anticipation.

"Shit. You know I don't like talking about that," Sam replied, clearly uncomfortable.

As Jack's voice called out for Sam's most embarrassing moment from 7th grade, I couldn't help but feel a sense of fulfillment, getting back at Sam.

I knew he didn't like talking about it, but he had started it when he dared me to kiss Mia.

I stole a quick glance at Mia, and a small smile pulled at the corners of my mouth as I remembered our dare and the kiss that had followed. Though it had ended well, I still wanted to give Sam a taste of his own medicine.

"Well…" Sam began, his voice laced with nervousness. "The summary of it is that we were on an excursion and I had to use the toilet. I was so pressed that I didn't realize I had entered the ladies' room. I had to remain in one of the stalls for the next 45 minutes, waiting for the room to empty out. It was a close call, but I eventually managed to escape without being noticed."

By the time Sam finished his story, we were all laughing, and Sam sent a death glare in my direction. Despite the glare, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction as everyone laughed at Sam's embarrassing moment.

I started a little prayer in my mind for the bottle not to point towards me 'cause I know Sam will certainly get back.

It was his turn to spin which he did. As I watched the bottle spin, I felt a sense of dread wash over me.

I silently begged for the bottle not to point at me, knowing that Sam would definitely take advantage of the opportunity to come up with some kind of ridiculous dare or embarrassing question to get back at me.

When it finally stopped and pointed at Mia, I let out a sigh of relief, at least for the time being.

Sam's face put on a disappointed look before morphing into a triumphant grin as he spoke the words "TRUTH or DARE?"

I could tell by the way he stressed the words that he had quickly come up with something mischievous on the spot. I tried to brush it off, glad that I wasn't the one being faced with a truth or dare.

"Dare," Mia replied after a brief silence.

"Wrong choice babe," Sam said triumphantly. "Not for only you but for you and pretty face over there." He said pointing to me.

My relief was short-lived as Sam turned to me and pointed, announcing that the dare was not just for Mia, but also for me.

My stomach dropped as I asked, "How?" I couldn't believe what was happening.

Sam grinned and I could tell from the way his eyes twinkled that he had something perfected his plan.

Ignoring my question, Sam turned back to Mia and declared, "I dare you to openly date Ray for a month."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "You've got to be kidding me," I exclaimed, trying to convince myself that I had misunderstood.

But unfortunately, it was no joke. "Sorry to disappoint you bestie, but that's what's gonna happen," Sam said, his smug grin still in place.

I turned to Mia, hoping that she would see the absurdity of the dare and refuse to participate. Our eyes met and in an unseen eye language, I pleaded with her not to take Sam's bait.

"It isn't compulsory for you to do it, Mia," I tried to convince her, hoping to sway her to my side.

"I know I don't have to do it." She started her first response after Sam's dare.

"But…. " Mia hesitated with a long sigh.

"But what??" I asked slowly dragging each other words. I hate buts

"But…", she continued, "I think it'll be fun. Don't you think?"

I couldn't believe where her response was headed. Was she seriously considering it? I didn't have the time to finish the questions racing in my mind when I heard Mia continued.

"I take the dare. I will date Ray for a month." Mia finished.

I felt a sense of unease wash over me as I heard her words, followed by a sense of happiness knowing that I was going to be closer to Mia for the next one month.

I sighed, letting out a breath I never knew I was holding.
