Another day she would tell Eli more about herself but for right now the story of how she came to know about vampires was one she couldn't tell anyone. At least now she could stop pretending she didn't know what Eli and Elaine were speaking of around her. Like the silent threats, Elaine made of her possibly not surviving. When Helen had some alone time she laughed at Elaine's threats back then. Elaine, Charles, and everyone at the masquerade party had underestimated her but she loved it that way. 

"Are you with me because you wanted something, Helen?" Questioned Eli interrupting her thoughts. 

"I did not need to be with you to get what I want Eli. I have my ways of doing things. Believe me, you asking me out on a date really did surprise me. I never thought you of all people would want to wine and dine me. Maybe just maybe, you were taking me somewhere so you could try to drink my blood and kill me. Even more surprising, you actually put together a real date."
