The Crown Prince Pays A Visit

Zhang Zhengyang did visit her like he had said.

She thought he'd be too busy to do so. Or that he'd find it troublesome to come and see her. Oh well, she still had to tell him about the fact that she had somewhat regained her ability, so it saved her the trouble of either seeing him or sending him a message.

Zhang Zhengyang got of the carriage, Zhao Xing was sick so she didn't have to come welcome him. Both he and Xiao Chen followed the Stewardess and Xiao Qi who lead them to where Zhao Xing was.

He wasn't surprise to see her watching Koi fishes by the pond, it seemed when she was unwell she would become even more willful and won't do anything that would help her get better, one would be able to tell she was sick from her complexion, but she didn't act sick at all. He asked all the servants to keep silent as he walked closer to her.

Nuo Nuo, Lan'er stood watching her from behind, as if worried she would do something silly. They had been worried all day. Since she felt a little better and could stand, she refused to stay in bed and would do all sorts of weird things. She said she was bored, she went ahead and asked them to play games with her. She tried to cook, or asked if she could plant vegetables in the garden.

They were so confused by her, she didn't even do things like these when she was fine. How come now that she's ill she was suddenly so energetic?

Zhang Zhengyang could see the worry on their faces and smiled. Of course they would be worried, they hadn't seen her when they went to the south, the things she did then made him worry about her mental state. He silently asked them to retire, he stood behind her for a while, Zhao Xing squatted while she fed the fishes, she seemed so concentrated in what she was doing that she didn't notice him. He wondered if she was interested in the fishes or just lost in her thoughts

"What are you doing outside? Shouldn't you be in bed resting?" he finally said.

His voice startled her that she almost lost her balance. She looked up from behind her, and caught the intruder.

"Ah?" She then looked around, her maids were nowhere to be found, not just that, Zhang Zhengyang was the only one there.

"Where's Xiao Chen? He didn't come with you?" How come she was all alone with him? This wasn't safe ah!

Zhang Zhengyang was puzzled by this response. "Zhao Xing, it's been a while since you last saw me, and the first thing you ask is not about my wellbeing, but Xiao Chen?"

How was he expected to react? He hadn't seen her for so long, today he specially came to see her despite his busy schedule, because he heard she was sick.

He was worried about her, now that he's here, Zhao Xing had nothing else to ask him but about his servant? She didn't even give him a proper greeting? Has he spoiled her too much?

Zhao Xing thought for a while and stood up.

"Ahem, Crown Prince." She performed a curtsy halfheartedly. 'So picky'. She thought as she tried her best not to grimace.

She didn't ask him to come how come he was picking faults with her? This was her place! He couldn't boss her around like he used to.

Of course, how could Zhang Zhengyang be satisfied with just this greeting? His mood suddenly plummeted.

"Crown Prince please let me lead you to the main hall, I didn't know you would be coming today, but the kitchen has prepared some delicious snacks, I was going to have them all for myself but I do have to be a good host, so…" Yes she was unwilling to share her snacks with him. The newly hired chef was just too good. Zhao Xing wondered where they got her such a good cook. Did they steal him from the imperial kitchen? He was only hired two days ago and Zhao Xing liked everything he made.

Zhang Zhengyang was speechless to the point of laughing. When he heard Zhao Xing was having a bad appetite, and ran out to eat he especially looked for a new chef for her through the stewardess, who would have thought he would be shooting himself in the foot.

Zhang Zhengyang took a few steps closer to her. "It seems Grand Tutor doesn't miss me."

Zhao Xing fake smile just now dropped, and her head began to ring alarms when she saw his actions. "Why…why would I?" She pushed passed him and walked ahead as she increased her pace.

Zhang Zhengyang watched her walking away and scoffed. She was the only one who had the guts to disrespect him like this, after all he has done for her.

"Grand Tutor should take it easy, walking so fast would make a sick person like yourself dizzy."

Zhao Xing didn't listen, her figure became smaller and smaller as she walked faster and faster.

"You can come out now, she's no longer here." Zheng Zhengyang said, he put on a relaxed expression with the habitual arc of the lips.

"Master…" Xiao Qi came out of her hiding and saluted the Crown Prince. She had been invisible just now, and even if someone looked around they wouldn't easily find her.

"Um?"

"Xiao Qi has come to report." Her master was here now she was definitely going to tell on Zhao Xing.

Zhang Zhengyang's smile increased, he folded both hands behind him. "Go on."

Zhang Zhengyang soon arrived at the main hall, Zhao Xing had dismissed the servants on standby. She was going to tell Zhang Zhengyang about her vision, it wasn't convenient for them to be there. Though, because of certain worries she still allowed her trusted aids, Nuo Nuo and Lan'er to wait at the door, Xiao Chen was also there, so she could put her mind at ease.

"What took you so long, I like my pastries hot and fresh." If he takes so long they might grow cold!

Zhang Zhengyang smiled at her, "The scenery outside looks different today, so I took a look around."

Zhao Xing grimaced. 'As if you didn't have better things to do? Are you that free?' After scolding him in her head, she asked him to have a seat, and went on to serve him tea.

Zhang Zhengyang looked around there was no one else in the main hall apart from the two of them, his smile grew wider. "I thought Grand Tutor didn't like being alone with me?"

Zhao Xing was speechless, "So you know?" So he knew and still played all sorts of tricks with her? Her blood boiled as she stared at the smug look on his face, as if he was taunting her.

'Forget it.'

Zhao Xing didn't have the energy to argue with him. After all he'll be leaving soon.

"I saved a girl last night from being kidnapped, with the help of Xiao Qi. And I think it helped me regain my ability."

"Oh?" He had heard a bit of it from Xiao Qi, he had guessed that it had something to do with her being able to see the future, who would have thought that it would be just as he predicted.

Zhao Xing nodded, her face became more serious "Actually, before I saved her I saw a vision, and it led me to her. After that I invited her for dinner, and told her I could read her fortune, I just said it casually, who would have thought she actually believed me, I clearly don't know how to fortune tell, I held her pulse and I actually saw another vision!"

"So you went out a few days ago, and returned late?"

"Zhang Zhengyang that is not the point." Why was his focus so off? She was speaking so seriously just now, he should pay attention!

"Look, at first I thought I just needed to check a person's pulse to look into their future. I tested it, but it didn't work."

Zhang Zhengyang nodded, "It should be because of the person you tested it on. Who was this person you saved?"

Zhao Xing thought about it, and it didn't make sense to her at all, what did he mean it was because of the person she had tested it on? But she still answered his question. "She should be a noble, that's what I noticed from her bearing, she's surnamed Zhao like me, and named Qing."

Zhao Qing?
