Studying at the Mansion

Zhao Xing found out she had returned to her world, unexpectedly. And was in a bad mood the whole day.

As for Zhang Zhengyang, after finding out Zhao Xing had returned to her world couldn't do anything but wait till she came back.

His journey was in a week's time, he decided he'll let her come along. He would make sure she was safe the whole time. What Zhao Xing had said was right, now that she had found her use, he should allow her to help him. The ability he had so much wanted has surfaced it'd be a waist to not make use of it. It was just that, the journey wouldn't be that pleasant, he just thought it'd be better for her to stick to what she was used to, being leisurely and eating good food. At least that was what he thought.

In Zhao Xing's world, they announced the beginning of midterm exams that was coming up soon.

"The worst period of the year is near us." A classmate said from in front of her, as she hit her head on the table in frustration.

Zhao Xing sighed, "The worst has already befallen me, what else could move me?"

The classmate turned to her, and rolled her eyes. "You're lucky that your grades aren't that bad already, now you've been improving…while I…no matter how much I study, I never seem to make any progress!"

The person next to her who was lying on the table also joined the discussion, "Right? I wish I was like the class president. He's so cool."

"Well he's not class president for nothing."

The discussion continued among the two at the front. Zhao Xing had long been occupied by other thoughts and didn't continue to talk with them. She turned to Lu Yang who was busy reading, without a care in the world, and suddenly felt envious. She frowned in annoyance and nudged him. "How about we do a group st…."

"No."

"Hey, I haven't finished, Shan Shan would also be joining." When she said so the two in the front became enthusiastic. "Really? The class belle? Can we join?"

Lu Yang glanced at Zhao Xing, then back at his book, "Not joining, you guys go on without me."

'Tch. He's still mad because of the last time? At least thanks to me he found out his crush was so oblivious, he should be grateful!'

Zhao Xing nodded with a stretch of her lips. "Why not? The more the merrier."

Lu Yang glanced at her once again and rolled his eyes. Zhao Xing paid him no attention she herself wasn't in a good mood, she had no strength to console him.

Zhao Xing later thought she could bring her books to the Prince's manor, and study there. She didn't do much during the day, she might as well study.

With that in mind her mood improved a lot. She would have brought her phone and other things with her when going to the prince's mansion, but she could only manage to bring books or documents with her. So the prince's manor was the best reading environment, it was peaceful and quiet most of the time, that is when the prince isn't there making her irritated.

When next she did go to the Crown Prince's manor, she put in mind that she had to carry her school text books and notes with her, and they did follow her.

That mourning after getting ready and having breakfast, she went straight to study. Her maids didn't know if they should ask about the previous day, or even ask if she wasn't angry anymore, but from the looks of it, she didn't seem all that angry anymore.

"Grand Tutor…what are these book? They look strange?" Lan'er bravely asked.

"These book eh? I also think they're strange. I wonder why they force us to study it anyway."

Zhao Xing responded that way, and the girls felt it wasn't that hard to talk to her after she had been angry. And Lan'er proceeded to engage her in further discussion. Asking her more about the books. Lan'er knelt down beside her and took a book from the table, and began flipping the pages.

Zhao Xing smiled at her actions. She knew Lan'er couldn't read, but Nuo Nuo could. She turned to the girl who stood at the corner, ready to serve. "Nuo Nuo, do you like story books?"

The girl was caught off guard by the question. "This…" She paused and didn't know how to respond, in the end she kept silent. It was fine, she had long thought of getting them something interesting from her world. If they liked books, Zhao Xing was willing to give up some pocket money for it.

She didn't push her, and continued studying.

She soon got bored, but restrained herself. It was a good thing she didn't bring any of her manhuas along with her. But in the end she couldn't take it and decided to take a walk outside. She had been reading all morning.

Her whole day was spent studying, eating, taking a walk, gossiping…

The Crown Prince didn't return till late evening around 5pm.

Zhao Xing didn't leave her quarters and her maids didn't want to spoil her mood so they didn't mention about the Crown Prince's return to her.

Zhang Zhengyang had a busy day. Once he returned he went to meet Zhao Xing, he didn't know when she'd leave, these days her leaving time became more and more inconsistent so he was afraid he'd miss her.

When he arrived Zhao Xing was walking around with a book in her hand, which she read out loud. The maids sat down at the house entrance listening attentively.

"…It's a weapon that can destroy cities, kill thousands and thousands of people, very dangerous, the one that created it had done so for the progress of the land, but the heart of man…no one can tell…"

The maids had seen the Crown Prince, from behind Zhao Xing, but had been ordered to be quiet. He watched her for a while, as she walked back and forth. But it didn't take long for her to realize that there was an extra pair of eyes watching her.

"Crown Prince." She greeted, her countenance fell and she put the book away.

"Won't Grand Tutor invite me in?" He said raising a brow, smilingly.

"Your Highness has already invited yourself in."

Zhang Zhengyang smiled, and walked in. There was a table made of marble in the yard, with small stools that surrounded it. He sat there and beckoned on Zhao Xing to come and have a sit with him. She didn't refuse, and sat down opposite him. Her face had no expression, and she seemed a bit impatient as she watched her maids take their leave.

"We can't delay any longer, I was planning on sending you to look for the Poison Master, but since you insist on following me to the south then I won't stop you."

When he said so her face changed and she looked at him, her eyes narrowed, "Look for the poison master? Since when?" The last time she asked he had refused to let her go, in the end she gave up. But Zhang Zhengyang was telling the truth, he had planned to send her there when his people told him that the old man was actually looking for his granddaughter. He had already sent for them to help him look for the missing child. Zhao Xing had said it before, that she could talk it out with him. No matter what it would be better to have her talk to the old man, than have his people or even the ninth prince do it.

Though he could do a lot, his fort wasn't talking to old people. He often got people at the court angry because of his speech that could be very crude or even rude. Since it was Zhao Xing's task he might as well let her do it.

"For some time now." He thought all this but only responded with these few words.

Zhao Xing scoffed. But she was no longer irritated.

Zhang Zhengyang continued, "But after having gone with me, you'd have to go to meet the poison master."

Of course she was happy that she could go, she had no problem with it.
