Your Childhood

ARIANA'S POV:

What's happening to me all of a sudden? Why is my heart beating so fast? Oh geez! I knew it was a bad idea bringing Joshua to my house. I gritted my teeth in anger.

"Calm down Ariana! You can do this." I chanted in my head as I headed back downstairs and to my surprise I saw Joshua seating at the table chatting with my mum.

"Oh no!" I gasped.

"Mum, Joshua what are you two talking about?" I asked, bringing out a chair and took my seat.

"Oh dear, I was telling him about your childhood." She smiled.

"Wait...what? How could you mum!" I screamed angrily.

Truly I wasn't angry at her I was angry at Miss Gabrielle and this stupid project she gave us.

"So you used to love playing with cars and building blocks when you were young?" Joshua said as he stared at me.

"Interesting, I can see why you don't act all girlish." He said as I just rolled my eyes.

"Urm... before I forget Sara's coming over later with her brother." Mum spoke but I knew deep down she wasn't happy that Evan was accompanying her.

"Mum...I'll be fine I promise." I said holding her hand.

"Okay if you say so, I have a meeting to attend to I might be back later this evening." She stated as she stood up and grabbed her bag.

"Thanks for the gifts Joshua I really loved them." She smiled and left.

"Hey!" I called, tapping Joshua by the arm.

"What?" He asked raising a brow.

"What gifts are my mum talking about?" I inquired.

"I brought some chocolates and a bottle of wine for your mum." I replied, as he sipped a glass of water.

"Oh! Thanks by the way but you shouldn't have bothered." I explained.

"Well, it's no problem." He shrugged and continued eating.

After lunch, we headed for the study room to start our project. I sat down on one of the couch, scrolling through my phone and Joshua sat beside me, reading a biology textbook. About 30 minutes later, I raised up my head from what I was doing to see Joshua beside me sleeping and too top it all up he was still in the first page.

"Urgh..." I groaned in frustration.

"Joshua!" I called tapping his shoulder to wake him up but he didn't budge.

"Oh no! His he dead?"

"No! No! He can't be." I said shaking my head and stood up to stand in front of him, bending slightly to see his face.

I gently touched his cheeks but still didn't wake up instead and bent in closer, looking at his face again but this time I looked at his eye brows, nose and then down to his lips which I couldn't stop looking at. It was as if I was spellbound but by what just the lips? I don't even know what's wrong with me or my body anymore? It just doesn't listen to me anymore. I don't even know if I own this body or not.
