"what's he doing here?"

"Urm... he's here on a school project we are working on together." I replied.

"Brother, do you know him?" Sara asked, staring at Joshua with curiosity in her eyes.

"Yes, he's Joshua Mason." Evan scoffed.

"Really?" Sara exclaimed, her eyes widened in surprise.

"OMG! You're Joshua Mason from Royal High right?" Sara screamed, her gaze still fixed on Joshua.

"Yes, I'm Joshua... it's nice meeting you." Joshua smiled.

"Yes! Yes the pleasure is mine."

"I've heard so much about you, you're even more handsome than how you were described." She gushed as Joshua just smiled along.

"Thanks."

"Can I hug you".

Me: "??"

"Sara behave yourself, he's a total stranger." Evan said as he held Sara by the arm.

"I'm perfectly okay, besides he's not a stranger anymore, he's my best friend's friend." She replied.

"Urm... Sara we'll be right back, excuse us." I said and with that I grabbed Joshua by the arm and took him in the kitchen.

"Hey! Why did you do that?" Joshua asked once we entered the kitchen.

"Oh really?" I scoffed.

"I should be asking you that."

"What did you do that for?" I asked, arms folded.

"Me?" He said pointing to himself. "I didn't do anything."

"Seriously?" I eyed. "What happened out there and to my best friend? What did you do to her?" I asked and this time I had gripped him by the collar.

"Why are you laughing?" I inquired.

"You're just so funny and cute, you're acting like a possessive girlfriend." He replied laughing as my hands which were holding his collar fell down as I bowed my head in embarrassment.

Why was I even embarrassed, it's not like what he said was true. I'm not even his girlfriend, so why am I embarrassed?

"Hey!" He called.

"What?"

"Are you jealous?" He asked laughing.

"Hey!" I shouted at him.

"Relax! I'm just joking."

"You see I can't help it when people tend to gawk at me, I'm used to it now okay." He stated.

"Oh? But still stop flirting with my friend." I warned.

"Flirting? I only smiled." He explained.

"Smiling or not just stop what you're doing okay?"

"Fine I'll stop just this once since she's your best friend."

"I'll leave now so they won't think otherwise." He winked and left.

"Urgh..." I groaned in frustration.

"What's wrong with me?" I asked myself, my hands ony cheeks.

"It's love darling!" Sara spoke from behind me.

"Uh...love...what are you even talking about?" I asked, facing her.

"I don't even like him and you're talking about love." I yelled at my friend.

"Oh bestie! I'm not talking about you." She said which made me confused.

"Then who?"

"I'm talking about Joshua... isn't he handsome?" She gushed.

"Handsome? I don't think so." I said with folded arms.

"Really? Well I think you're the one with the problem, you don't seem to like anyone." Sara stated as I opened my mouth in awe. How can my best friend speak to me like this?
